Patsy DiGiovanna
Mrs. Patsy Louise Hicks DiGiovanna, 43, of Temecula, Calif., formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at her aunt’s home in Prescott.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1963, in Prescott, to Adron and Maxine White Hicks. She was an assistant manager of a state recreational park.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors include her husband, Tom DiGiovanna of Temecula, Calif.; two sons, Tom DiGiovanna Jr. and Anthony DiGiovanna, both of Temecula, Calif.; one daughter, Tricia DiGiovanna of Temecula, Calif.; three brothers, Ronnie Hicks of Willisville, and Kenny and Jerry 'Bo' Hicks, both of Magnolia; and one granddaughter, Violet DiGiovanna of Temecula, Calif.
Memorial services were at 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott, with the Rev. David Kassos officiating.
Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Dorothy Fulton
Mrs. Dorothy Marie O’Rorke Fulton, 79, of Hope, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1927, in Hope, to Frank and Myrtle Powell O’Rorke. She was a school bus driver and employed with in-home healthcare. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of McCaskill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dona Gail Fulton; one brother, Joe O’Rorke; and one sister, Juanita Gaines.
Her survivors include one daughter, Sherry Fulton of Hope; two brothers, David O’Rorke of Hope and Bill O’Rorke of Henderson, Texas; five sisters, Bobby Goza of Mt. Holly, Beatrice Williams of Texarkana, Texas, Alice Conley and Mildred Ward, both of Hope, and Dewanna Yocom of Emmet; three grandchildren, Rory Allen of Nashville, Sean Allen of Huntsville, and Candy Cassin of Spring Hill; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope with the Rev. Verlin 'Buddy' Coleman officiating. Burial was in Friendship cemetery in McCaskill.
Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
The family received friends Monday, May 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
Brenda Hart
Brenda Carol Rhodes Hart, 59, of Prescott, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Texarkana.
She was a retired registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Rhodes and great-niece, Phenyx Adams.
Her survivors include her mother, Mable Stanley Rhodes of Prescott; one son, Roy David Sneed of Texarkana; one granddaughter, Blake Sneed of Texarkana; one sister, Mary R. Adams of Texarkana; one nephew, Charles Adams of Palm Bay, Fla.; one great-niece, Raevyn Adams of Texarkana; a special family friend, Iris Lane of Rosston; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will be at the home of her mother in Prescott.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 30 at 1 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Elsie Lewis
Mrs. Elsie Lewis, 93, of Nashville, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Russell Henry
Russell Cline Henry, 38, of Haughton, La., died June 13, 2007, in Haughton.
He was born Nov. 24, 1968, in Prescott. He attended school at Meadowview Elementary, Schreve Christian and graduated from Airline High School in 1986. He attended LSUS where he majored in business. He was a member of Airline Church of Christ for 28 years. He liked working on computers and repairing them for friends. He was always willing to help others with their computer problems and always loved to help others. He had a love for animals and took in all strays he could find.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dawson Cline Sr. and wife Edith McGuire Henry and Leo Jackson and wife Pauline.
He is survived by his parents Dawson Cline Jr. and wife Lynda Sue Henry of Prescott; four aunts, Diane Lambert and husband Tony, Carolyn Stovall, Kay Chambless and husband Jerry, and Vicki Smith; numerous cousins and a host of friends who dearly loved his smile and funny wit. He will be remembered by his special friends, Doris, Paulah and husband Barry and his special cat 'Roo, ' who he rescued.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. in the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel in Haughton with John Billingsley officiating.
Interment was at Mt. Moriah cemetery in Prescott.
The family received friends on Friday, June 15, from 5-9 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Pall bearers were David Stovall, Tony Lambert, Barry Walsh, Sal Fayad, Randy Farris and Kevin McLaine.

Rana Hall
Mrs. Rana Nicole Hall, 40, of Prescott, died June 15, 2007, in Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Curtis and Peggy Buchanan and paternal grandparents, Coy and Kathryn Bobo.
Her survivors include two daughters, Emma Harvey of Taylor and Shelby Hall of Emmet; her father, Ray Bobo of Hope; her mother, Betty Reynolds of Taylor; and one aunt, Elizabeth Coffman of Jonesboro.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott, with the Rev. Perry Johnson officiating. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Mary Hughes
Mary Edyth (Jane) Hughes, 102, of Okolona, died July 2, 2007, at Hillcrest Nursing at Prescott.
She was born Jan. 8, 1905, in Okolona, the daughter of the late Henry Beecher and Mollie Dickey Hughes. She was trained in nursing, and dedicated her life to taking care of her widowed mother. She was a member of the First Christian Church where in years past she also played the piano. She was also a member of the Benjamin Culp Chapter of the DAR.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harmon B. Hughes, and two sisters, Ruth Erin Harris and Myrna Rose Mauldin.
Survivors include three nephews, Darwin Harris of Oran, Mo., Harvey Mauldin of Portland, Texas, and Richard Mauldin of Hot Springs Village, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service was held Saturday, July 7, at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Lankford Moore officiating and others sharing a word. Burial was at Rome cemetery near Okolona. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the funeral home.

Thomas Lane
Thomas Edward Lane, 65, of Fayetteville, formerly of Gurdon, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Fayetteville.
He was born May 13, 1942, in Nevada County, the son of the late Dwight Hugh and Jessie Lois Baker Lane.
He had spent some years in the construction business, was a member of the Assembly of God Church, and had a life long love of music. He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Thomas Lane.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Rush Lane; two sons, Timothy Lane of Gurdon, and Michael Lane of Fayetteville; a daughter, Tina Bosley of Curtis; four brothers, Paul Lane of Delight, Olan, Joe and Benny Lane, all of Blevins; four sisters, Cathy Stuart of Texarkana, Texas, Mary Wicker of Curtis, Doris Rhodes of Blevins, and Ruth Adams of Amity; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, July 9, from noon-1 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Grave side services were Monday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at Hart cemetery, with Pastor Nathan Rogers officiating. Pallbearers are Michael, Timothy, Bradley and Corey Lane, Stephen Pennington and Jay Taylor.
Edna Kelly
Mrs. Edna Mae Callaway Kelly, of Rosston, died on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1926, at Hollywood to Eugene and Clara Callaway. She taught in a one-room school in Hollywood community after her graduation from Arkadelphia High School. In 1946, she married
John Nolen Kelly and moved to Rosston where Mr. Kelly was employed as a lineman for South Central Electric. They raised their three children in the Rosston community.
Edna served asa rural carrier for twelve years and has also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was city recorder for the City of Rosston and was a current member of the Rosston City Council. Even though she had been unable to attend church regularly, she was a member of the Willisville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nolen Kelly and her youngest son, Robert (Bob) Kelly.
Her survivors include a son, Johnny Kelly of Rosston; a daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Glyndon Franklin of Cale; three sisters, Jeanie Taylor of Prescott, and Vivian Duke and Kathleen Fulmer, both of Arkadelphia; one grandson, Robert Kelly of Rosston; two granddaughters, Nicole and Isaac Ruiz of Prescott, and Jamie Kelly of DeQueen; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Ruiz and 'Bubba' Ruiz of Prescott, Abby Morris and Beau Morris of DeQueen; several nieces nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 5, at Mt. Moriah Church in Rosston, with Revs. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Larry Jones officiating. The burial was in Mt. Moriah cemetery in Rosston.

Bennie Green
Bennie B. Green, 89, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home in El Dorado.
Bennie was born March 18, 1918, in Emmet, to the late Ben and Conella Rogers Green. He owned Green’s Body Shop and was a member of Antioch West Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He served in the United States Navy as a Fireman First Class during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, May Belle Green; sons, Michael and Charlie Green; granddaughter, Sheena Green; brother, Burchie Green; sisters, Ruby Keeton and Trudie Clayborn; and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Green.
Survivors are his sons, Brady Green and wife Bernice of Bodcaw, Wesley Green and wife Hazel of Grady, Richard Green of Magnolia, Johnny Green of Magnolia, Randy Green and wife Kathy of Magnolia; daughters, Shirley Howe and husband Jewel of Smackover, Betty Eades and husband Lawrence of Dangerfield, Texas; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law, Mary Green of Waldo.
Visitation was Thursday, July 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Vaughn Blue officiating. Burial followed at Morris cemetery near Cale, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Russell Page, Dennis Green, David Green, Douglas Green, Danny Green, John Michael Green and Daniel Green.
