Adrean Marie Jones
Adrean Marie Jones, 76, of Prescott died Saturday, April 27, 1996.
Born June 3, 1919, in Prescott, she was a Methodist and the widow of Jesie Jones.
Survivors include a siser, Dora Brzeski of Prescott; five nephews and one niece.
Services were held Sunday, April 28, at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Midway cemetery near Prescott under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home.

Winnie Belle Hooker
Winnie Belle Hooker, 71, of Prescott, died Sunday, April 28, 1996, in Prescott.
Born on January 20, 1925, in Nevada County, she was the daughter of Jude and Ida Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Prescott. She was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. As owner and manager of the Broadway Hotel and Cafe, she was well known in the community and enjoyed the friendships that she developed there.
She devoted her later years to her grandchildren and great grandchildren whose pictures she displayed with pride in her restaurant.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Hooker of Prescott; two sons, Jerry Hooker of Prescott and Ronnie Hooker of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Judy Ammons of Prescott and Melinda Faulkner of Prescott; two brothers, Billy Bob Smith and James D. Smith of Prescott; a sister, Eva Lou Stanley of Prescott; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, April 30, at the Prescott Church of Christ with Bro. Gene Cloer and Bro. John Cannon officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.

David Moore
David Moore, 52, of Hope, died Monday, May 6, 1996, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Born May 20, 1943, in Magnolia, he was the son of the late Norman and Mary Cook Moore, a farmer and member of Calvary Baptist Church and First United Methodist Church. He was past president of Century Bible class and a charter member of Worthey Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Moore of Hope; four sons, David G. Moore of Emmet, Heath C. Moore of Hope, Jason D. Moore of Mountain Home, Sterling Burkhart of Madisonville, Ky.; one daughter, Christy Burkhart of Hope; and two grandchidlren.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church Wednesday with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Association, Gideons, Calvary Baptist Church or First United Methodist Church.

Clarence Nistendirk
Clarence William Edward Nistendirk, 77, of Hampton, died Sunday, May 12, 1996, in the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
Born May 25, 1918, in Warren County, Mo., he was the son of Hugo Nistendirk and Lorine Busekrus Nistendirk, he was a retired pulpwood contractorr, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Jones Nistendirk of Hampton; a son, Gene Nistendirk of Prescott; a daughter, Mary Lou Smith of Hampton; a brother, Kenneth Nistendirk of Hampton; two sisters, Erna Nistendirk of Hampton and Darlene Osbourne of Martinsburg, West Virgina; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren..
Services are being held today, Wednesday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home chapel in Fordyce with Rev. Leroy Jones and Rev. Aubrey McChesney officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Hampton under the direction of Benton Funeral Home.

Odis Harris
Odis Harris, 85, of Emmet died Thursday, May 23, 1996, in Medical Park Hospital.
Born October 10, 1910, in Blevins, he was the son of the late Clem and Ellen Harris. He was a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Prescott, where he served as pianist for over 35 years. He later united with Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Emmet.
Survivors include eight children, Dorothy Dixon, Helen Faye Bryant of Milpitas, Calif., Clementine Wade of Richmond, Calif., Leothon Harris of Sacremento, Calif., Vira Lee Morgan of Easley, S.C., Helen Joyce Whiteside of Los Angeles, Calif., and Inez Moreland and Rosie Harris of Prescott; two stepsons, L.G. Holleman and Larry Holliman of Starks, La.; one God son, Haril Gulley of Prescott; four sisters, Verdie Mae Vanhook, Bernice Scott and Mae Thelma Black of Prescott and Varrie Young of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Vernice Harris of Prescott; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, June 1, at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Emmet with Rev. Roderick Trotter officiating. Burial was in Shorter cemetery in Blevins under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home of Hope.

Ronald Leon Tosch
Ronald Leon Tosch, 59, of Prescott died Wednesday, June 29, 1996, in Hope.
Born November 25, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., he was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Tosch of Prescott; a son, Ronald Leon Tosch Jr., of Hope; two daughters, Lynn Malone and Kathleen Hipp of Prescott; a brother, Robert L. Tosch of Malvern; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, June 1, in the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in DeAnn cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home.

Bob F. Wells
Bob F. Wells, 72, of Gurdon died Monday, May 27, 1996.
He was a retired electrician for Fafnir Bearing. He was a member of Southfork Baptist Church and an army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Joe Wells; two sons, Ricky Wells and Ralph Thomas of Gurdon; a daughter, Connie Clinton of La Grange, Ky.; three brothers, James T. Wells of Okolona, Carl `Buddy' Wells of Gum Springs and John J. Wells, of Gurdon; three sisters, Louise Presson of Prescott, Betty Ledbetter of Gurdon and Nancy Rutherford of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 30, at Southfork Baptist Church with interment in the Southfork cemetery by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.

Wayne Harold Waldron
Wayne Harold Waldron, 67, of Rosston died Thursday, August 22, 1996, in Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Born May 3o, 1929, in Essex, Iowa, he was a retired master plumber and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Waldron of Rosston; two sons, Wayne A. Waldron of Rosston and Steve Waldron of Crete, Neb.; seven daughters, Diane Foreman of Duncan, Linda Kyzer of Cabot, Marcia Poel of Crete, Neb., Joyce McGlothlin of Vera Bale, Wash., Frances Cook of El Dorado, Corliss Esteridge of Magnolia and Doris Williams of Russellville; 17 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Graveside services and burial were held Sunday, August 25, at Willisville Methodist cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps. Rev. J.P. Jones officiated.

Gilbert F. Morris
Gilbert F. Morris, 72, of Prescott died Monday, Aguust 19, 1996, in Little Rock.
Born February 24, 1924, in Prescott, he was a retired maintenance operator for Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Carrie Morris of Little Rock; and a sister, Mildred Smith of Little Rock.
Graveside services and burial were held Thursday, August 22, at Sweet Home cemetery in Nevada County with Wendell Heffington and Harley Sisson officiating, under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

Willie Wilson
Willie Mode Wilson, 84, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Prescott, died July 28, 1996, at Bossier Medical Center in Bossier City, La.
She was a native of Prescott, but lived in the Shreveport-Bossier area for the last 39 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm C. Wilson of Shreveport; three sons, Ira D. Wilson of Tyler, Texas, Derris L. Wilson of Shreveport and Dennis Wilson of Bossier City; a brother, A.D. Manning of Prescott; a sister, Aline Ingram of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services were held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home chapel in East Bossier-Haughton, La., on July 30 with Dr. Damon Vaughn officiating. Burial was in Hill Crest Memorial Park in Bossier-Haughton, La.

Everett Clark
Mr. Everett C. Clark, 84, of Emmet, did Sunday, March 20, 2005, in Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.
He was born April 15, 1920, in McKamie to Charlie Carl and Mittie Spencer Clark. He was a retired rancher, cattleman, former maintenance foreman with Hudson, and heavy equipment operator with TGT. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Emmet; Hope Melonaries Square Dancing Club; Cattleman's Association; American Legion; and National Rifleman's Assoc. He was a Master Sergeant, member of the 8th Air Force and served in the European Theater, during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Edna Clark; and by two sisters, Christine Clark and Opal Clower.
His survivors include: his wife of 59 years, Grace Hampton of Emmet; two daughters, Mittie Malone and Annie Duncan both of Emmet; one brother, Bill Wood of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Effie Sharman of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Sean Clark of Emmet, Tracie Brewster of Emmet, Leah McJunkins of Genoa Central, Vicki Marbury of Prescott; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Jackson, Mr. Dick Snell and Mr. Bobby Harden officiating. Burial followed in Snell cemetery in Emmet. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
Family received friends Monday, March 21, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Edith Randle
Edith Randle, of Little Rock, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, September 5, 1996, in St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
Born in Ozan, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Minnie Coleman Draper. She was a member of Cothran Chapel C.M.E. Church in Prescott, where she served as church clerk, choir member, stewardess, board of Christian education and missionary society. A retired school teacher, she graduated from Yerger High School in Hope, Philander Smith College in Little Rock, University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and Little Rock, and Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
She was a member of National Association of Colored Women Club, National Council of Negro Women, Nevada County Retired Teachers, Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies and NAACP.
Survivors include a daughter, Clare Alale of Little Rock; two sons, George Garmon of Spring Valley, N.Y., and Bertran A. Garmon of Hot Springs; a stepson, William Randle Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif. and a stepdaughter, Evelyn Randle of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Clovis D. Washington of Brooklyn, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, September 10, at Cothran C.M.E. Church with Rev. T. Davis officiating. Burial was in DeAnn cemetery in Prescott under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
