Doy Woodall

Doy Woodall, 90, of Delight, AR, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at a Murfreesboro Nursing home.
He was born February 9, 1919, at Kirby, AR, the son of the late Edward and Lillie Adams Woodall.
He was a Baptist. He was a WWII Veteran, cattleman, farmer and Mason.
Mr. Woodall was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Marshall Woodall; three brothers, Wayne Woodall, Elton (Doc) Woodall and Harlan Woodall; two sisters, Katie Whisenhunt and Ruby Pasley Carter.
He is survived by one sons, Randy Woodall and wife, Nona, of Delight, AR; two grandsons, Grant Woodall of Arkadelphia, AR and Zane Woodall and wife, Whitney, of Murfreesboro, AR one sister, Lois Hobson of Springdale, AR; a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 22, at First Baptist Church, Delight, with Bro. Vernon Wood officiating, burial in Delight cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, July 21, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delight Ambulance Service.
Herman Dale Jones

Herman Dale Jones, 84 of Mt. Pleasant, TX, formerly of Nashville, died Monday, July 20, 2009 in Mt. Pleasant, TX.
He was born on February 15, 1925 in Howard County, AR, the son of the late Richard E. and Ora Cornish Jones.
He was a retired local manager for SWEPCO, having served in offices in Texarkana, DeQueen, Ashdown, Waldron, Mena and Nashville during his 42 year career with the company.
In all of these communities he was very active in civic and church activities.
In the churches he attended he served as deacon, teacher, treasurer, choir member and everyone's favorite brotherhood breakfast chef.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville, AR and Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Mena, AR.
As a member of the Lions Club he held leadership positions at both local and state levels which lead to participation in national and international events.
He also left a legacy of improved services for the disabled in every community in which he lived.
He helped establish chapters of The ARC, worked to secure public school services for special needs children and served on the boards of both the Howard County Children's Center and the Polk County Day Service Center.
He was a WWII Marine veteran whose tour of duty included the Marshall Islands and Okinawa.
His most important accomplishment was that of being a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was a highly honorable, exemplary Christian gentleman who was adored by his family, loved by his friends and respected by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys 'Missie' McCrary Jones of Mt. Pleasant, TX; two sons, David Jones and wife, Sandy of Omaha TX and Steven Jones and wife Belinda of Jessieville, AR; three daughters, Cathy Walker of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Evans of Fort Smith, AR, and Linda Jones of Naples, TX; one brother, Charles Jones and wife Marilyn of Owassa, OK; four grand-daughters, Stephanie Cortez of Frisco, TX, Monica Mathie of Dallas, TX, Susan Walker and Emily Walker of St. Louis, MO, and Lacey Tillman of Savannah, GA; one grandson, Ryan Jones of Centerton, AR; one step-grandson, Jason Evans of El Dorado, AR. and eight great-grandchildren.
Many other relatives and friends mourn his passing.
Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2009 at County Line cemetery in Nashville with Bro. Glen Green officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home - Nashville.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Latimer Funeral Home.

Lucille Cross, age 82, of Delight, AR, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center.
She was born Sunday, November 07, 1926 in Pike County, AR, the daughter of the late William and Wilma (Head) Gardner.
She was united in marriage to Millard Cross who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and member of Saline Church of Christ of Delight.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son: Larry Cross and wife, Sandra of Nashville, AR; Two grandchildren, Scott Cross of McKinney, TX and Elizabeth Tollett of Fayetteville, AR; one sister, Vera Forbes of Dierks, AR; and five great-grandchildren as well as many friends and relatives.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Saline Church of Christ in Delight with burial in Delight cemetery.
Visitation will be 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Coy Watts

Coy W. Watts, age 88, of Delight, AR, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at a Little Rock Hospital.
He was born Thursday, January 13, 1921 in Delight, AR, the son of the late Newman and Etha Garner Watts.
He was a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
A Navy veteran, and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Fadra "Tot" Steed Watts; one son: Ronnie Vick Watts, one daughter: Glenda Fay Watts Harris.
Survivors include his; Two Sons: Mark and wife Margaret Watts, of Delight, AR Steve and wife Vickey Watts, of Delight, AR; one daughter: Linda and husband Jerry Smith, of Nashville, AR; One Brother: Alton Bo Watts, of Delight, AR; Three Sisters: Oce Drolet, of Atlanta, GA Annette Casley, of Houston, TX Cherrie Glasgow, of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. one very special sister-in-law Jot Campbell of Delight, AR; and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday July 16, 2009 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pisgah, with Bro. Wayne Sewell and Bro. Jerry Smith officiating with burial to follow in Pisgah cemetery, in Pisgah.

H.C. Hanney, age 77, of Nashville, AR, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at a Texarkana hospital.
He was born November 28, 1931 in Highland, AR, the son of the late James Grover and Cornelia Rhodes Hanney.
Survivors include his wife Betty Hanney of Nashville AR; two sons James C. Hanney and wife Debbie, of De Queen, AR, Freddie Hanney and wife Teresa of Bald Knob, AR; two brothers Olen Hanney and wife Margaret of Nashville, AR, Lloyd Hanney of Nashville, AR; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and relatives.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Avery's Chapel cemetery in McCaskill.

Dorothy Lucille Sanders, age 90, of Nashville, AR, died Wednesday, July 9, 2009 at Nashville Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on February 22, 1919 in Willisville, Illinois, the daughter of the late William Edgar and Stella (Bagwill) White. Mrs. Sanders was united in marriage on July 13, 1946 to Rev. Eugene Harold Sanders.
They were married
for 50 years, until the time of his death.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, Arkansas.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Dale and Debra Sanders of Williamsport, PA; one daughter and son-in-law Daryl and Johnny McJunkins of Mineral Springs, AR; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:15 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Bayless Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri, with burial to follow in the National cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
Visitation will be 4:00 - 9:00 P.M. Monday at Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home on Gravois Ave. in St. Louis, Missouri.
Local arrangements are by Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Faye "Nanny" Blackburn Dayberry, age 80, of Nashville, AR, died Sunday, July 05, 2009 in Nashville, Arkansas.
She was born August 14, 1928 in Olney, TX, the daughter of the late J. B. and Glennie Teague Davis.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville.
She loved quilting and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, of forty years, Jim Blackburn; one daughter Cheryl Blackburn; one grandson Jeffery Thomas; and second husband Bill Dayberry.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law Glenna and Kent Jackson of Kilgore, TX, Louise and Wayne Hicks of Nashville, Nancy and Jeffrey Shanks of Nashville, Jimmie Faye Scott of Archer City, TX; one brother Emmit Davis of Wichita Falls, TX; seven grandchildren Stephanie and Eric Wakefield of Nashville, Kent II and Karen Jackson of Henderson, TX, Alicia and Chris Bell of Benton, AR, Jason Hicks of Honolulu, HI, Mason Gatlin of Dallas, TX, Aaron and Austin Shanks of Nashville, Ricky Allen of Texas, Eugene Campbell of Texas; eight great-grand children Tarah and Matt Briggs of Kilgore, TX, Steven Wakefield, Dustin Wakefield both of Nashville, Tripp Jackson, Ty, Tad and Kenlee Rose all of Henderson, TX; and Morgan Thomas of Rowlette, TX; one great-great-granddaughter Macey Faye Briggs of Kilgore, TX; as well as many friends and relatives.

Alma Jean Bates, 79, of Nashville, died Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at a Nashville hospital.
She was born April 11, 1930, at Cross Roads, AR, the daughter of the late Posey and Mary Bissell Neal.
She was a member of Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Newton Bates, son, Danny Wayne Bates, granddaughter, Lisa Bates Keeney, brother, Walter Neal, two sisters, Amelia Bates and Wilma Springs.
Survivors include three sons, Marshall Bates of Nashville, AR, Larry Bates of Rosston, AR and George Bates of Gurdon, AR; three daughters, Marjorie Carpenter of Nashville, AR, Sharon Jester of McCaskill, AR and Betty Wisniewski of Nashville, AR; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 18, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Billy Sanders officiating, burial at Westmoreland cemetery, Cross Roads.
