Delbert Johnson
July 31, 2008
Delbert Garland Johnson, 71, of Nashville, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Little Rock.

He was born February 12, 1937, at McCaskill, AR, the son of the late Oscar and Rosa Lively Mims, at 8 years of age he was adopted by Walter and Jimmie Johnson

Today we put to rest a Husband, Father and friend that was loved and will be missed.

His memory will be with us until we meet him again in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Sonja Johnson, his children, Tammy Martindale, James Johnson, Billy Ray Johnson, David Johnson, Debbie Johnson and Sandra Johnson; daughters-in-law, Nicol Johnson and Crystal Johnson; nieces and nephews, Gladine Bennett and family, Jerry and Polly McCammack, Bobby Joe and Sherry Chambers and Gary English; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, grandchildren, Jonathon Martindale, Greg Martindale, Lathan Fink, Hunter Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Chastin Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Corina Johnson, Tyler Davis and Kayla Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was retired from State of Arkansas Teachers Association Carpentry Program and was a retired Navy Veteran. He was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church and VFW of Hope, AR.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Blevins.

Burial will follow in Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, August 1, from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Loretta Waleszonia German
July 27, 2008
Mrs. Loretta Waleszonia German, 81 of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mrs. German was born in Roy, Ark., and had lived in Jonesboro for a short time moving there from Murfreesboro.

She was a retired Lab Tech, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Waleszonia and her second husband, Carl 'Si' German; three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Keena Waleszonia of Jonesboro, and Joe and Carol Waleszonia of Trumann; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann and Bobby Pritchard of Gurdon, AR., Cathy and Mike Sedlacek of Littlerock, CA., and one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Shelly and Carl Rogers of Redlands, CA.; one brother and sister-in-law, Doy and Dot Duncan of Heber Springs, AR; 17 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning August 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Rev. Lee Walker and Freeman Henderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pinecrest cemetery in Little Rock with Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday July 30, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Latimer Funeral Home Murfreesboro.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cohoon, Brent Cohoon, Jody Waleszonia, John Waleszonia, Kevin Sedlacek, and Steven Sedlacek.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Lewallen, Jim O’Neal, Les O’Neal, Mark Duncan, Robert Duncan, Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro and the Homemakers Sunday School Class.

Lasting Memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund of Murfreesboro.

Jackie Ray Lamb
July 26, 2008
Jackie Ray Lamb, 55, of Delight, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at an Arkadelphia hospital.

He was born November 8, 1952, at Nashville, AR, the son of Curtis and Betty Brown Lamb.

Mr. Lamb was a member of the Billstown Church of Christ, a logger, and also loved his horses, and raising longhorn cattle.

He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Lamb.

Survivors included his wife Debbie Lamb of Delight, AR; one son Shannon and wife Amanda Lamb of Delight, AR; two daughters Sherry and husband Chris Frazier of Delight, AR; and Breana Lamb of Arkadelphia, AR; his mother, Betty Lamb of Delight, AR, one brother Rodney Lamb of Delight, AR; one sister Brenda Frazier of Arkadelphia, AR; two grandsons, Dawson Frazier, and Weston Lamb.

Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 29, at the Delight Church of Christ with Wallace Alexander and Sid Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Delight cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home - Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday July 28, at the funeral home.

Mollie Lyons Barger
July 23, 2008
Mollie Lyons Barger, age 101, went to be with the Lord, July 23, 2008.

She was born in Carlisle, AR, December 3, 1906, to the late Thomas Andrew and Flora Josephene Epperson Lyons.

She was married to Roy V. Barger on December 24, 1929.

They were married for 55 years, at the time of his death in 1985.

A loving, supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mollie devoted herself to taking care of her family. Mollie was a strong, independent lady, providing for herself in her home until the age of 99.

She lived her life with dignity, strength and honor. Mollie was baptized in 1950, and was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ.

Mollie is survived by one son and daughter-n-law, Tommy and Dianne Barger of Nashville, AR; one grandson, Brandon Barger of Conway, AR and one granddaughter, Michelle Stanek of Nashville, AR.

The Lord blessed her with time to know her two beautiful great-granddaughters, Morgan and Kymberly Stanek of Nashville.

She was also survived by a number of very special nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Homer Lyons, Ed Lyons, Roscoe Lyons and Densley Lyons; and three sisters, Pearl Lyons, Myrtle Crow and Vida Lyons.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 25, at Restland Memorial Park, with Bro. Jimmy Dale officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, July 24, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Victor A. Miller
July 20, 2008
Victor Alvin Miller, 88, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at a Hot Springs hospital.

He was born October 16, 1919, in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was a WWII Army veteran.

He was a retired construction superintendent.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, May G. Miller; one daughter, Vicki Wylie and two sisters.

He is survived by one son, William Dewey Miller and wife, Lisa, of Athens, Texas; two grandchildren, Rachel Ann Miller and Abram Ross Wylie IV; and a host of friends.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 22, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel; with Freeman Henderson officiating, burial in Center Point cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, July 21, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Pauline Crocker
July 18, 2008
Pauline Crocker, 78, of Murfreesboro, died Friday, July 18, 2008 in Murfreesboro.

She was born on May 14, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Hulbert and Lillie (Lingo) Johnson.

She was a housewife and member of the First Christian Church of Murfreesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reyburn Crocker and one sister, Gerldine Hughes Womack.

Survivors Include: two sons, John H. Crocker of Murfreesboro and Thomas F. Crocker of Gentry; one daughter, Judy L. Crocker of Lowell, AR; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Many other relatives and friends mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 21, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro with Bob James and Rob Evans officiating.

Butial will follow at Murfreesboro cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary Lucille Tollett, 'Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies.' Proverbs 31:10

Mary Lucille Jamison Tollett, 87, of Texarkana, AR, formerly of Nashville, AR died Thursday, July 10, 2008 in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs Tollett was born March 28, 1921, in Nashville, AR.

She was retired from Howard Manufacturing Co. and Christian Preschool of Texarkana.

She was a member of the Walnut Church of Christ and former member of the Sunset Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Tollett, her parents, John C. and Myrtle Jamison and her four siblings, John, Jo Marie, Billy and Larry Jamison.

She is survived by her five children, Dave Tollett and wife, Betty, of Benton, AR, Saundra Stanley and husband, Webb, Rosemary Longnecker and husband, Tommy, Betty Trieschmann and husband, Bobby, Suzanne Weir and husband, Mark, all of Texarkana.

She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness.' Proverbs 31:26.

'Mama Cille' is lovingly survived by her grandchildren: Jamie and husband, Kris Keim, Wes and Jeff Stanley, Laura Perry and husband, Scott, Wade and Mikayla Tollett, Shawn Longnecker and wife, Brenda, Jeremy Longnecker, Jolie Koller and husband, Derek, Linzi Wallis and husband, Ben, Amy Lawrence and husband, Josh, Jay Trieschmann, Casey, Ali and Tyler Weir.

Her great-grandchildren include: Hannah and Lincoln Keim, Eric Longnecker, Tristen, Hadyn, Adison and Jaxon Koller, Elison Rose Wallis, Anna-Blair, Whitt and Hayes Lawrence.

Mama Cille will be remembered for her love of God and family, her faithfulness, gentleness, patience, her enduring strength and the joy she brought to her family.

Proverbs 31:29-31 'Many women do noble things but you surpass them all.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.'

Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday at Latimer Funeral Home with Marvin Weir and Scott Perry officiating.

Pallbearers will be her eight grandsons. Burial will be in the Nashville cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

Visitation will be Friday, July 11, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Christian Preschool of Texarkana at Walnut Church.
