Susan Emiline Boler, age 76, of Nashville, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Nashville.

She was born on September 12, 1931 in Stidem, Oklahome, the daughter of the late Oscar and Cora (Casey) Downum.

She was retired from Beard Poulan.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Boler; one brother, Wayne Downum; and two sisters, Pauline Stonebarger and Bertha McSweeney.

Survivors Include: three daughters and son-in-laws, Donna and David Fatherree of Nashville, Judy and Jim Mossler of Parks, Texas, and Sandie and Dean Phillips of Bakersfield, California; one brother, Jimmy Downum of Bakersfield, CA; six grandchildren and their spouses Chad and Marquita Roberts of Nashville, Brian and Amber Galvan of Georgia, Brandon and Carolyn Phillips of CA, Lori and Kevin Lunceford of Texas, Zack and Mandy Phillips of California, and Kevin Phillips of California, and 10 great grandchildren.

Many other relatives and friends mourn her passing.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Verdie Belle Rounsavall, age 88, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Saturday July 5, 2008 in Nashville.

She was born October 14, 1919, in Dierks, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Jahue and Maggie Belle Boatman Young.

She was a housewife and member of Grace Baptist Church in Bingen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Rounsavall and 3 sons Wendell Lambert, Carroll Lambert and Gary Lambert.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Laverne and Tom Chambers of Nashville; 1 step-daughter Ima Lynn Riley of Mineral Springs; 1 brother Harmon Young of South Bend, IN; 6 grandchildren Carolyn Taylor of Mineral Springs, Gail Coulter of Nashville, James Chadwick of Nashville, Billy Ray Lambert of Dierks, Lorretta Funderburk of Nashville and Lisa Perez of Nashville; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ozan cemetery in Bingen.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Daughter Kathy Lynn Wesson Stampfer and Michael Stampfer and grandchildren Derrick and Robert Short Christopfer Stampfer all of Ft. Worth Texas. and Jason Short wife Saudia Goldstein Short and son James Allen Short all of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Kevin Cuello and wife Michelle of Hamford California.

Christine Cuello Richardson and husband Larry Richardson of Kilgore Texas.

Survived by 1 brother Larry Wesson and Jane Wesson and 3 nieces Laurie Coleman. Cheryl Griffen and Jennifer Snead all of Nashville Arkansas.

2 aunts Cora Chasteen and Gerdie Wakefield of Nashville Arkansas.

Vernon Hodges, 86, of Hope, died Tuesday, November 13, in a Hot Springs hospital.

He was born November 23, 1920, in Daisy, AR, the son of the late Peter and Arizona Hodges.

He was a retired carpenter and served in the Army in World War II. He was raised in Daisy, AR.

Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Faye Hodges of Hope, AR; one daughter, Pat Thrash and husband, Larry M., of Venus, Texas; two grandsons, Michael Thrash of Venus, TX and Larry Wayne Thrash of Venus, TX and eight great grandchildren, Kristina, Brittney, Ryan, Brody, Michael, Britney Thrash, and Courtney and Nathan Cox and one great-great granddaughter.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 17, at Delight cemetery, with Larry Brown officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, November 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Josephine Winona Risner, 71, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, November 11, 2007, at a Murfreesboro nursing home.

She was born February 10, 1936, in Rural Town, Kansas, the daughter of the late William McKinley and Georgiana Cross Antell.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Eastern Star.

She was a retired clerk for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Mrs. Risner is survived by her husband, Idus Risner of Murfreesboro, AR; one brother, Merle Antell of Florida; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 15, at First Christian Church, Murfreesboro, with Bros. Mike Rathbone and Ralph Posey officiating, burial in Kelley cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 15, from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M.

He was employed by Southern Pine Trus Company.

Mr. Townes was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Horace Townes.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Townes of Nashville, AR; two sons, Brayden Townes of Nashville, AR and Grayson Townes of Nashville, AR; one daughter, Vanessa Townes of Texarkana, TX; his father, Marvin Townes of Texarkana, AR; one brother, Michael Townes of Mount Olive, MS; grandmother, Lona Townes of Texarkana, TX; and a host of friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, at Old Washington cemetery, with Bro. Phil Holder officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was active in many social and civic organizations.

For a number of years she was employed by the government in the selective service.

She enjoyed her involvement in the local bridge club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas H. Pope, Jr. and her son, Tommy Pope.

Mrs. Pope is survived by one daughter-in-law, Debbie Pope of Nashville, AR; two grandchildren, Brian Pope of Nashville, AR and Steve Pope of Benton, AR; and a host of friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 9, at Nashville cemetery, with Rev. Russell Hull officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

In addition to her parents and husband, John P., she was preceded in death by one brother, Clifton Hartness and one sister, Annis Hartness.

Survivors include: one sister, Merle Morphew of New Hope, Arkansas, several nieces and nephewsand a host of friends.

Graveside services will be on Friday, November 9, 2007 in Hall cemetery in Langley, Arkansas under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.

She was a homemaker; a member of Central Baptist Church.

Mrs. Duckett was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus C. Duckett.

She is survived by one son, Tommy Longnecker of Texarkana, AR; two daughters, Martha Gautney of Nashville, AR and Anita Bickham of Texarkana, AR; her twin sister, Myrldeen McNeese of Borger, TX and sister, Miriam LaBlanc of Shreveport, LA; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will meet at the home of Leland and Martha Gautney, 177 Ramsey Hill Rd., Nashville, AR.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 8, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. David Blasé officiating, burial in County Line cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
