Dollie F. Adams
(October 11, 1937 - April 10, 2012)
Dollie F. Adams age 74 of Arkadelphia passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1937 in Dalark, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Ora Lee McCaskill Hutcherson. Dollie was a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was a bookkeeper and office manager working with Dawley Auto Parts & Supply, Shepherd Auto Sales and B & M Construction Co. all in Arkadelphia throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Elpher Lee Hutcherson, Jasper R. Hutcherson and John Thomas Hutcherson.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Perry Adams; her twin children, Michael Adams and wife, Debbie of Rowlett, Texas; Tammy McCauley and her husband, Mike of Arkadelphia; one brother, Milton Hutcherson and wife, Donna Sue of Dalark, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Heather Morrison, Brandon Morrison, Sydney McCauley, Kyle Lawrence and Robert Lawrence; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Julia, Kimberly and Ethan Lawrence.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 12th at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Hardin and Bro. James Calhoun officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Wells, Charles Harrison, Allan Gaither, Bill Hutcherson, Jimmy Hutcherson, Carley Bledsoe Jr., Mike Kizziar and Leslie Wood. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scleroderma Research Foundation, 220 Montgomery St., San Francisco, CA 94104.
Russell Gaither
(February 28, 1969 - July 23, 2011)
Russell Gaither, age 42 of Caddo Valley passed from this life on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1969 in Clark County, the son of Paul and Betty Gaither. Russell was a welder and machinist and owner of 730-Steel. He was a member of the Caddo Valley Baptist Church. Russell was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was preceded in death by his father.
Russell is survived by two daughters, Addison Lea (Brad) Brannon of Lynn and Randi Kaye Gaither of Arkadelphia, his mother Betty Hanson of Hope, his sister Jeri (Tim) Freeman of Hope, his grandmother, Ethel Duncan of Jonesboro, one expected granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27th at Carter cemetery in Arkadelphia with Rev. Mark Faulkner officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Pallbearers will be Chris Fogerty, Tyler Welch, Jason Haddix, David Robb, Ethan Young and Eddie Young.

The family will be at the home of Betty Hanson in Hope.
Louise Atha
(September 18, 1924 - February 15, 2012)
Flaucie Louise Richardson Atha was born September 18, 1924 in Amity, Arkansas-one of seven children. She quietly passed into Heaven’s gate February 15, 2012 when she went to rejoin her family in Heaven: Husband George Edward Atha, mother and father John Riley and Zoe Evelyn Wheeler Richardson, sister Mary Lois, and brothers R.J, Idos, and Leo Richardson.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughters Sandra Womble and her husband Dean, Iris Jean Crawley and her husband Allen, grandson Daryn Womble, granddaughters Dawn Garrison and her husband Bob, and Deana Mercer, great-grandsons Dean Scott Womble, Eddy Lee Mercer, Tyler Oakes, Wade and Wyatt Garrison, great-granddaughters TeAnna Sparks, Gabrielle Garrison, great-great grandsons, Eric and Mason Mercer, great-great granddaughter, McKensie Mercer, brother, Jerry Richardson and his wife Betty, and sister, Altie Williams. Also many nieces and nephews and one special niece Risa Richardson Harmon.
Louise was a member of 3rd Street Baptist Church, member of OES for over 50 years, EHC, Pioneer Club, Golden Agers Club, Fair Board Planning Committee, and Baptist Health Medical Center Auxiliary member where she volunteered over 5000 hours.
Louise spent her last years at Windsor Care Center, Terrell, Texas where she was referred to as their 'Social Butterfly' flitting from room to room visiting and making people laugh at her stories, delivering mail and helping in the lunch room until she broke her hip in 2008.
Louise loved her family and friends and all who knew her loved her smile and her cooking, especially her famous chocolate pies and coconut cakes.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia, AR. Burial will be at Friendship cemetery near Amity. Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations, may be made in her name to Windsor Care Center, PO Box 1447, Terrell, Texas 75160 where she was loved and cared for by a host of staff that she referred to as 'her family'.
Brooke Erin Babinski
(July 24, 1981 - August 24, 2011)
Brooke Erin Borland Babinski, age 30, went home to our Father in Heaven Wednesday, August 24th, 2011. She was born July 24, 1981 in Pine Bluff, AR, to Daniel and Shari Borland. She was preceded in death by her grandparents D.L. and Shelba Tankersley and her grandfather James Borland. Brooke was a loving mother, wife, sister, and daughter. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her magnetic personality and beautiful smile. She was a talented painter and a lover of music, books, and crossword puzzles. She lived her life for each and every moment and was beautiful from the inside out. Her fire for life carried her through a long, hard battle with cancer. Her love and dedication to her two children helped to fuel that fire. She was small in frame, but mighty in spirit. Though our hearts are breaking here on Earth without her, we know that she is in heaven now and no longer suffering.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Alan Babinski, her two children, Hannah and Caleb, three sisters Ashley Edwards, Stephanie Humphrey, and Cecily Borland, her father Daniel Borland, her mother Shari Gills, her grandmother Faye Borland, and her great-grandmother Margie Allen.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27th at Prairie Bayou cemetery with Bro. Jeremy Greer officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
Catherine Stewart Buttrum
(March 25, 1923 - May 5, 2011)
Catherine Stewart Buttrum age 88 of Little Rock passed away May 5, 2011. She was born March 25, 1923 in Arkadelphia, AR to William Andrew and Florence Beck Stewart. She always considered Arkadelphia home, even after moving to Little Rock as a child. Her family ties go back generations to some of the early residents of this city. Her grandfather, George M. Beck, was editor, publisher, and part owner of the Southern Standard newspaper and later owner and editor of the Arkadelphia Herald. In 1914, her mother flipped the switch that turned on the first electric lights in Arkadelphia. Her father, Will Stewart, came from a family of merchant and drug store owners in Arkadelphia, starting with STEWART & BRO in the 1870’s. At the time of his death in 1976, Will was the second oldest licensed pharmacist in the state of Arkansas. Catherine was a graduate of Little Rock High School and attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, studying early childhood development. Her desire to work with children led her to start a nursery school in Hot Springs, where she met her future husband, Floyd Mitchell Buttrum. They were married
for 57 years when he passed away in 2006. Her greatest joy in life after raising two daughters, was caring for young children in her home and later spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Bill Stewart.
Catherine is survived by two daughters, Alice Dale Adams (Gary) of Little Rock and Catherine Stewart Young (Eddy) of Benton, five grandsons Chris Adams (Amanda) of Superior, CO, Brian Adams (Robin) of Lawton, OK, Jeremy Adams (Sarah) of Little Rock, Andy and Brad Young both of Benton, AR, 6 great grandchildren, Parker, Will, and Claire Adams of Superior, CO, Zoe Powers of Lawton, OK, David and John Adams of Little Rock, and one nephew, Bill Stewart of Bellevue, WA.
Funeral services will be 10:30 Monday, May 8, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Buttrum will lie in state from 9 AM till service time at the funeral home. There will be no formal visitation.

Lynn Loidice Jester
(March 22, 1944 - March 19, 2012)
Lynn Loidice Jester age 67, of the Curtis Community near Arkadelphia, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at her home. She was born March 22, 1944 the daughter of the late Salvino and Katherine Schwain Loidice. She was a foster parent for many children, a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Jester and two sisters, Amy and Windy.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Ottis Jester; four sons, Robert Charles Jester of Hot Springs, Randy Jester, David Jester, and George Jester all of Curtis; three daughters, Linda Smith of Joan, Teresa Foster of Little Rock, Apple Jester of Curtis; one brother, Troy Rogers of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Mary and Angie both of New York; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 23rd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Dee Alton Ratliff Sr.

Dee Alton Ratliff Sr. age 66, of Malvern, formerly of Caddo Valley passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. He was born December 18, 1948 in Hot Springs to Marion Calvin and Minnie A. James Ratliff. Dee was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was a Baptist.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Larry Ratliff.
Survivors are one son, D. J. Ratliff and wife, Debbie; two grandsons, Landon and Chase Ratliff and one brother, Billy Ratliff all of Caddo Valley.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 5th at Caddo Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Runyan officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Caddo Valley cemetery.
William Burl Stewart
(February 27, 1923 - August 24, 2011)

William Burl Stewart, age 88, of Hot Springs, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Hot Springs. He was born February 27, 1923 in Kingsland, Arkansas the son of William David Stewart and Clara Estelle Owen Stewart Posey. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal in 1978 after thirty years. Burl was a member and former deacon of the Oak Park Freewill Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and a Mason and past master of the Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a infant son, James Barry Stewart and a special step-father, Ben Posey.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Irene Wynn Stewart; two sons, William Larry Stewart and wife, Vicky of Warren, Arkansas, Darrell Glen Stewart and wife, Rosemary of Maumelle, Arkansas; one daughter, Karen Sue Manning and husband, Eddie of El Dorado, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Dr. Jarrod Stewart, Justin Stewart and wife, Jaime, Meredith Stewart, Emily Perrone and husband, Joseph, Amber Myers and husband, Bryan, and Ashley Moore and husband, David; seven great-grandchildren, Seth and Evan Stewart, Lakyn Myers, Avery and Ayden Moore, Logan and Natalie Perrone; three sisters, Jackie Steorts of Shady Side, Maryland, Christine Longwell of Hemet, California and Betty Tubyville Golden of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 27th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Joe Grizzle and Rev. Larry Norrell officiating. Burial will be in Sparkman cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday until service time. Memorials may be made to Gideons International 2900 Lebanon Rd. Bill Rettig

Bill Rettig age 86, of Branson, Missouri, formerly of Little Rock, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 9, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas the son of the late Alfred Melvin and Lady Dean Wright Rettig. Bill was retired from the U. S. Civil Service Commission and a U. S. Air Force veteran of WW II.
His wife, Nancy Elizabeth Hunter Rettig preceded him in death on April 10, 2011.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Rettig and wife, Martha of Branson, Missouri; one daughter, Suzanne McGuire and husband, Mike of Birmingham, Alabama; five granddaughters, Emily McGuire of Birmingham; Jessica Vickery and husband, Josh of Moody, Alabama; Elizabeth Eades and husband, Jimmy of Calera, Alabama; Kate Rettig of Liberty, Missouri and Megan Rettig of Branson, Missouri; and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Caleb Vickery of Moody, Alabama.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 25th at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia with Ed Matthews of Little Rock officiating. Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
Marc Stephen Williams

Marc S. Williams, age 60 of Malvern, passed from this life on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Arbour Oaks Nursing Home in Malvern. He was born in Malvern on December 24, 1950, the son of Stephen B. and Nickole Smith Williams. Marc worked for the Goodyear Tire Corporation and was a major in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Williams-Mangold and husband Oliver of Germany, two grandchildren, Marc Oliver Mangold and Steven Lee Mangold of Germany and his brother, Paul Dave Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 30th at Ten Mile cemetery in Lonsdale with Rev. David Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
