Betty LaRue Wall
(April 24, 1923 - October 6, 2012)
Betty LaRue Wall, age 89, of New DeRoche, passed from this life on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs. She was born on April 24, 1923 in Evanston, WY, the daughter of the late Charles Daniel and Isabelle Morgan Whitlock. Betty was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Hughes Aircraft and Honeywell Corporation. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and an avid fisherman and card player. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis Wall, one sister, Phyllis Blake and two brothers, Morgan Jay Whitlock and Leo Warren Whitlock.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Clifford) Prince of New DeRoche, Kathryn Cobb of Stratford, OK, Tanya Forgay of Glendora, CA, seven grandchildren, Neal Prince, Cindy (Matt) Weatherford, Kelly (Donnie) Williams, Eddie (Becky) Cobb, Shelia (Randy) Cobb, Rodney Forgay and Robin (Jim) Rodriguez, sixteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home, with Steve Carter officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday.

Magalene Francis King
(April 2, 1935 - December 17, 2012)
Magalene Francis King age 77 of Arkadelphia passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at her home. She was born April 2, 1935 in Alicia, Arkansas the daughter of the late Clead and Iccie Davis Gosha. She was a member of the Church of Christ and an retired seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurel Dennis King and one sister, Nora Whitlock.
Survivors are three sons, Robert King and wife, JoAnna of Arkadelphia. James Edward King and Mike King; eleven grandchildren including Jeremy Hutson and Bryan Hutson.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 23rd at the Hill cemetery at Chalybeate Valley with Max Brown officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Bobby Joe Babb

Bobby Joe Babb of Friendship, took Jesus by the hand on March 3, 2012. Heaven rejoices... another saint has been called home. He was born May 1, 1933 in Friendship, Arkansas the son of the late Robert Lesly and Clara Long Babb. Bobby was a U. S. Army veteran, retired from Reynolds Metal Company Patterson Plant, owner of Donaldson Depot Antiques and a proud member of Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, vegetable gardening, restoring old log cabins and spending time with his dog, Max. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeler riding and bush hogging. Above all, he loved his Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Evelyn Babb Dingler, Barbara Babb Jacobs and one brother, James (Buddy) Babb.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Harriett Shaffer Babb, who cherished, adored and idolized her babe; three children who considered their daddy a hero, provider, comforter, counselor and their rockstar, Lisa Babb of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Buddy Babb and wife, Jasa of Russellville, Arkansas, Jodie Babb of Benton, Arkansas; three grandchildren who loved their Poppa and he loved them greatly, Leighton, Reece and Shepherd Babb of Russellville, Arkansas; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of the life of Bobby Babb The measure of a man at age 78. Bobby Babb will be remembered as a simple, kindhearted man who enjoyed the simple things of life. He was a people person who always set others at ease. He accepted people as they were, while always looking for the best in them. He gave every second of his life to others, never asking for anything in return. He had a playful sense of humor and always had a twinkle in his eyes. His deep belly laughs were contagious; he loved being outside and had a deep rooted honest work ethic. He led not just by what he said, but by his actions. Bobby touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness and compassion. Each person truly cherished any time spent with him.
Bobby was the best and most loyal family man. He was a wonderful daddy to his three children, Lisa, Buddy, and Jodie, the whole world to his wife, Harriett and an adventurous childlike Poppa to his grandkids, Leighton, Reece, and Shepherd.
Bobby's faith in Christ gave all who knew him such courage and hope and he often reminded us of all the preciousness of the life that God gave us for a short time.
Life celebration services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 7th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Patterson and Bro. Greg Lathem officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery at Friendship. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tiger Griffin, David Hathcoat, Dr. Robert Muldoon, Mike Catlett, Ricky Catlett, Keith Crews, Randy Jones and Mike Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Helton, Floyd Curry, Adron Sealy, Elvin Johnson, Wendell Harper, Steve McMahan, Jerry Strother, Roy Morrison, Dennis Gillam and Jerry Don Jacobs.
Memorials may be to Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia or MDS Foundation for myelodysplasia. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Robert Muldoon and his staff, the ICU staff and the Advanced care staff at St. Joseph's Mercy Healthcare in Hot Springs.
John Edwin Fletcher
(February 25, 1950 - January 29, 2015)
John Edwin Fletcher age 64 of Amity died Thursday, January 29, 2015. He was born February 25, 1950 the son of Harry Edwin and Elizabeth Bruscoe Fletcher. He was a truck driver, an avid fisherman and hunter and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, John Michael Fletcher and Bryan Fletcher and his wife Leanna all of Amity, three grandchildren Emily, Blake and Bryson Fletcher, one brother, David Fletcher and his wife Kay of Hot Springs, one sister Judy Roark and her husband James of Friendship, longtime companion, Mary Kitchens and her two children, Heather Henthorn and Jeff Kitchens and his wife Diane and her nine additional grandchildren;several nieces, nephews and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, February 1st in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia. Burial will be in the Ouachita cemetery near Donaldson. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cameron Kitchens, Jarred and Brock Henthorn, Mac Hill, Jeremy Gould and Benji McKim, honorary pallbearers Jonathan Smith, Dr. Jeffery Tauth and Dr. Matthew Hulsey.
Michael Ray Cruse
(June 23, 1960 - September 19, 2012)
Michael Ray Cruse age 52 of Sparkman, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home. He was born June 23, 1960 in Houston, Texas, the son of the late Cecil Ray and Frances Ruth Singleton Cruse. Michael was a carpenter and a Baptist.
Survivors are four brothers, Otis Cruse, Ricky Cruse, Roger Cruse and Danny Joe Swain, one sister, Patricia Cruse and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned.

Christene Wofford Burns Bauman, age 81 of Redfield (formerly of Arkadelphia), passed from this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. She was born on October 18, 1930 in Linden, TX, the daughter of the late Marshall Randolph and Solecia Irwin Wofford. Christene worked as a nurses aide and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Bauman.
Christene is survived by her daughter Dianna Lynn (Mike) Winfree of Redfield, her son David A. (Delores) Burns of Redfield, one brother, Bobby Gene (Barbara) Wofford of Arkadelphia, sister-in-law, JoAnn Wofford of Arkadelphia, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday at Welch Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local hospice or Alzheimer's Foundation.

Levin Leon Floyd

Levin Leon Floyd, age 71, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 in Little Rock. He was born November 3, 1943 to Leon and Delphine Spurlin Floyd. Levin was an retired electrical supervisor, a fifty year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and an U. S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Reba Doster Floyd; three sons, David Ellis Floyd and wife, Charlene of Gilbert, South Carolina; Lee Floyd; Lonnie Floyd and wife, Crystal all of Hot Springs; his mother, Delphine Floyd of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Donnie Floyd and wife, Debbie of Midway; Joe Floyd and wife, Julie of Councils Bluff, Iowa; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Lorene White Smith

Lorene Winford (White) Smith, age 92, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life of Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Twin River's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born January 15, 1920 in Gurdon, the daughter of the late Richard F. and Mary A. Ballard Ball. Lorene was a retired nurse and a member of Third Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Voit White, her second husband, Craig Smith, two sons, Richard Edward and Jim White, four sisters and four brothers.
Lorene is survived by one son Billy (Sheila) White of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Paul White, Jimmy L. White, Heath White, Kerri Curtis and Shari Echols, and eleven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Hart's Chapel cemetery at Curtis with Rev. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:30 PM at Welch Funeral Home.
