Clara Ada Green
(December 6, 1917 - August 11, 2011)
Mrs. Clara Green age 93 of Dalark died Thursday, August 11, 2011. She was born in Dallas County the daughter of Alexander and Lula Jacobs Copeland. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club for over 50 years and a member of the Dalark United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charlie "Bo" Green.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Copeland and her husband Jerry of Dalark, one granddaughter, Kelli Misenheimer and her husband John of Harmony Grove, AR and one great grandson, Bo Misenheimer.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday in the Macedonia cemetery near Dalark with Rev. Bob Langley and Rev. Travis Langley officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Dalark United Methodist Church or the Macedonia cemetery Fund.
Steve May
(Died December 11, 2012)
Steven Frederick May age 56 of Sparkman passed from this life on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his home. He was born December 6, 1956 in Sun Valley, CA the son of Otis and Virty Leamons May. Steve was an industrial technichian and a logger and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Virty Leamons May.
Steve is survived by his father, Otis May, his wife Amy Russell May of the home, two sons Aaron and Ty May, two daughters, Emily and Shannon May, three brothers, Sam, Joe and David May and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Holeman cemetery near Sparkman with Bro. Ellis Jones officiating.
No visitation will be held.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N University, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
Doyle A. Ashley

Doyle A. Ashley age 98 of Glenwood died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 He was born March 3, 1913 the son of Elmore and Eula Ashley. He was retired from Reynolds Metals Company and a member of the Newhope Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Marshall Ashley.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Porter Page of Blair, OK, one granddaughter, Jan Byrd of Sallisaw, OK and three great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Friday in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Carl Page officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Mark Douglas Watson

Mark Douglas Watson age 49 of Doyline, LA, formerly of Arkadelphia, died Monday, November 28, 2011. He was born June 16, 1962 the son of Dan and Linda McDonald Watson. He was an employee of Basic Energy Service in Sibley, LA and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.
Survivors include two daughters, Brooke Watson and Morgan Watson both of Curtis, AR, one son Landon Watson of Doyline, LA his parents, Dan and Linda Watson of Arkadelphia, one brother, Danny (Sandra) Watson of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Debbie (Wayne) Page of Arkadelphia and Joyce (Ron) Arnold of Longview, TX.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday November 30th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Katherine Dora Thompson

Katherine Dora Thompson age 76 of Amity, AR died Saturday, October 6, 2012. She was born October 13, 1935 in Dillard, GA the daughter of Eulysses and Alice Deal McCoy. She attended the Oak Grove Community Church near Fendley. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Thompson, three brothers, Ellis, Paul, and Melvin McCoy and one sister Mildred Rogers.
She is survived by her devoted friend, Foy Kirksey, one daughter, Cathy Straight and her husband Kevin of Morristown, OH, two brothers, Fred McCoy and his wife Doris and Jimmy McCoy and his wife Mary Jane all of Dillard, GA, one sister, Margaret Thompson of Arkadelphia, two grandsons, Patrick and Josh Thompson.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 PM Tuesday till service time.

Tony Calvin Clark

Tony Calvin Clark, age 65 of Antoine, died Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Texarkana, TX. the son of Alvin and Allie Cash Clark. On June 10, 1966, Tony married
Melba Jo Kinard and together they raised three boys. Tony was a retired butcher and welder and had a great love of the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Clark, his wife, Melba Jo Clark, a son, Tommy Clark, two brothers, Marvin and William Clark, and one sister, Peggy Clark.
Survivors include, two sons, Terry Clark of Conway, Tim Clark of Malvern, his mother, Allie Young Clark of Antoine, two brothers, Dean Clark of Antoine, Michael Clark of California, one sister Sherry Jacques of Georgetown, TX. 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Courtney, Jordan, and Elizabeth. and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday October 8, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Bloomfield officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 Sunday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
John Robert Chitwood

John Robert Chitwood age 70 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, September 26, 2012. He was born September 11, 1942 in Curtis, AR the son of John Russell and Syble Freeman Chitwood. He was retired from International Paper Company, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Chitwood, one daughter, Lisa Taylor and her husband Mark of Curtis, one brother, David Chitwood and his wife Joy of Curtis, one sister, Barbara Winkler of Arkadelphia, three grandchildren, Kristen, JonMark, and Ryan Taylor.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, September 29th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Dr. Sonny Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Harold W. Hurst

Harold W. Hurst age 63 of Gurdon died Thursday, August 23, 2012. He was born March 9, 1949 in Arkadelphia the son of Jerry and Mamie Herron Hurst. He was retired Superintendent of the Gurdon Water Department and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include the mother of his children Betsy Hurst Riley, two sons Shawn (Sheila) Hurst of Wylie, TX and Brad (Angela) Hurst of Benton, AR, one daughter, Brandi (Chris) Prince of Gum Springs, AR, two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Hurst of Curtis, AR and Jim (Kay) Hurst of Little Rock, one sister, Emma Jean McKin of Arkadelphia, AR, eight grandchildren, Taylor, Kara, Kionna, and Kelley Hurst, Hunter Raper, Megan Prince, Alana Prince and Allie Key.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday August 26th in the Rose Hedge cemetery in Gurdon. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
James Gary Manning

James Gary Manning age 74 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, October 9, 2012. He was born December 4, 1937 in Clark County the son of James Herbert and Lola Murrell Manning. He was a retired administrator for several nursing homes in southwest Arkansas, served in the Army National Guard for 10 years, and was a member of Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Survivors include one son, David Lee Manning and his wife Jenny of Siloam Springs, AR; three daughters, Jamie Lynn Sheets of Arkadelphia, and Stacey Ann Loden and her husband Donny of Hot Springs, Dorrie Staal of Arkadelphia; his mother, Lola Manning of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren and soon to be one great grandson, Rhys James Allen.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, October 12th at Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Brother Scott Jackson, Pastor Greg Latham, and Brother Johnny Irish officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Tracee Ann Forgino

Tracee Ann Forgino age 43 of Okolona died Wednesday October 3, 2012 as the result of a car accident. She was born April 1, 1969 in Denver Colorado, the daughter of Dean and Sandra Dalby Prault. She loved to sew and enjoyed arts and crafts. Tracee was a Baptist.
She is survived by a son Brandon Bonner; a daughter, Tabitha Bonner; her parents, Dean and Sandra Prault of Okolona, three brothers, Deano Prault of Okolona, Randy Prault of Bismarck, Billy Prault of Hot Springs; one sister, Laurie Salazar of Hot Springs; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6th at the Okolona Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Jones officiating.
Fred Barnell Maddox

Fred Barnell Maddox age 95 of Antoine, AR died Monday, October 1, 2012. He was born September 28, 1917 the son of Walter B. and Minnie Barrett Maddox. He retired after 24 years from Reynolds Metals Patterson Plant. In 2005 he was given Riley Russell Sportsman of the year award for teaching young boys and girls how to hunt and fish. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Antoine Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Jo Ann Shope and her husband Roy Neil Shope.
He is survived by his wife Viola Hendrix Maddox who he married
January 6, 1951; one brother, Buford Maddox of Batesville, AR; one sister, Mamie Daves of Quitman, AR; two grandchildren, Laura Anne Shope and Janet Lynn Dean; two great grandchildren, Bradley Neil Dean and Joseph (Joey) Andrew Bartsch and his wife, Tara; two sisters-in-law, Flossie Childers of Prescott, AR and Inez Hendrix of Hope; many nieces and nephews including devoted caregivers, nephew David Hendrix and great nephew Danny Hendrix.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 3rd in the Antoine Church of Christ with Brother Wallace Alexander. Burial will be in the Antoine cemetery.
