Albert Lewis Wells
March 26, 1936 - April 19, 2013
Albert Lewis Wells, 77, of Hot Springs was born March 26, 1936 in Ellsinore, Missouri to Lewis and Maime Wells.
He was the 6th of 12 children.
Albert fought a long battle with COPD and passed away with his family by his side Friday morning.
He was the owner of Wells Discount Shoes in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
He enjoyed travelling with his family and friends and has traveled to 48 states.
He also enjoyed going to sporting events for his grandkids, tending to his garden as Farmer Brown and teaching his great-grandson about life.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Charles, Louella, Wilma, Fern, Betty, Harvey and Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 56 ½ years, Mary Wells; one daughter, Sandy Brown (Tracy); brothers, Earl Wells (Lynita), Carl Wells, James Darrell 'J.D.' Wells (Ginny); sister, June Wells; four grandchildren, Dustin, Linsey, Chelsey, and Cassi Brown, and one great-grandson, Carson Bailey.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Service will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Bridgewater, Mike Wells, Don Kea, Eric Carson, Jeff Carson, Gene Keenan.
Honorary pallbearers include his exercise buddies at No Excuse Fitness, Cherry Oak Subdivision, and his Sunday breakfast group.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Albert’s honor to Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Hospital or Disabled Veterans.
Michael Anthony Nunan
September 23, 1944 - April 14, 2013
Michael Anthony Nunan, 68, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013.
He was of the Catholic Faith and worked in construction as a pipe fitter.
Mr. Mike, as he was called, was loved by his friend, Paula Kilby, and her granddaughters, Debra, Destinye and Autum O'Brien and her grandson, Vernon O'Brien.
He loved God and his friends, and died as he lived quietly and prayerfully.
Mr. Mike was preceded in death by his aunt Dorothy Price, who he took great care of for many years.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Ruth Henley Tucker
July 15, 1925 - April 16, 2013
Ruth Henley Tucker, 87, of Malvern, Arkansas, went to be with Jesus April 16, 2013.
She was born July 15, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late William Albert and Elva Irene (Bennett) Wilde.
Ruth, affectionately known as Gigi, loved Jazzercise, all kinds of animals, and enjoyed spending time with the grandkids.
She served in the Marine Corps and was employed with Arkansas Health Department.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Grady 'Mac' Henley and James F. Tucker; sister Dolores Bishop and great-grandson Jacob Cook.
She is survived by her son William Grady Henley of Hot Springs; daughter Linda Ruth Whisenhunt (Bill) of Malvern; grandchildren Carrie Cook (Tim), Holly Crain (Ken), Josh Whisenhunt (Melissa), James Whisenhunt, and Willie Whisenhunt; great-grandchildren Taylor, Cailyn and Emily Grace Cook and Emma and Matthew Austin.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Ralph R. Zauner
November 6, 1924 - April 21, 2013
Ralph R. Zauner, 88, of Hot Springs Village died Sunday, April 21, 2013.
He was born on November 6, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to William and Teresa Zauner.
Ralph was a U.S. Marine during WWII serving with Carlson’s Raiders in the South Pacific.
He practiced law for over forty years.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir for 23 years.
His sense of humor, generosity of spirit, beautiful voice and boundless energy were his trademark.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Sally W. Zauner of Hot Springs Village; daughters, Cindy Zauner of Wisconsin and Elizabeth Davis of Idaho; daughters he shared with his wife, Lori Frazier (Greg) of Florida, Jodi Otto (Robert Schleis) of Wisconsin and Heidi Williams (Paul) of Kentucky; brother and sister, William Zauner and Rose Neuens; and grandchildren, Emily Worden Frazier, Anja Joy Frazier and Benjamin Otto-Schleis.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 26 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Fr. Jim McLean officiating.
Gene Martin
May 31, 1930 - April 16, 2013
Arthur Gene Martin died on April 16th, 2013 at home.
Gene was born on May 31, 1930 in Earlington, Kentucky.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Bob Martin and previous wife.
Gene is survived by his wife, Vivian White Martin of Hot Springs; son Thomas Martin (Cathy) of Tennessee; daughter Debra Collins (Mike) of California; stepchildren John F. Myers (Carolyn) of Tennessee and Mary Jo Brown of Hot Springs; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
During the Korean War Gene served as a U. S. Navy Hospital Corpman assigned to the U.S. Marines, where he received a Purple Heart, plus other issued medals.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Ambassador’s Club, B.P.O. Elks Club Hot Springs Lodge #380 and Good Sam’s RV Travel Club.
Gene retired in 1979 as a Lieutenant from the Evansville Police Department after twenty-six years of service.
During this time Gene taught self-defensive tactics to various other members, as well as an instructor of first aid.
Also during this period Gene was a professional wrestler, having wrestled throughout the Mid-South.
Upon his retirement he was employed by the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau (TRPB) as a security investigator.
This organization was a national security agency founded by J. Edgar Hoover at the conclusion of WWII.
During this employment Gene traveled throughout the various U.S. Race Tracks (Thoroughbred) in the United States with Oaklawn Park designated as his headquarters track.
He moved from Florida to Hot Springs in 1982.
After being fully retired in 2000, he and his wife Vivian enjoyed their travels in their motor home.
There will be no services and following cremation his cremains will be taken to Shelbyville, Tennessee for burial.

TONY PULTZ
March 14, 1927 - April 21, 2013
Tony Pultz, 86, of Hot Springs, passed away April 21, 2013.
He was born March 14, 1927 in Northville, Michigan to Frank and Mary Pultz.
Tony was a devoted member of The Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist where he served as an altar boy, Eucharist Minister, usher and member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was president and co-owner of Arkansas Aluminum Alloys.
He is predeceased by his parents, wife, Ruth Pultz, grandsons, Aaron and Matthew Pultz and granddaughter, Angela Pultz.
Loving survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Pultz, son, Tony (Susi) Pultz, Jr., son, Pat (Judy) Pultz; daughter, Pam (Gerald) Harvey, son, Jeff (Elaine) Pultz, son, Brett (Tami) Pultz, all of Hot Springs; sister, Pauline (Andrea) Urso, of Sandusky, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Collier, Jacob Pultz, Patrick Pultz, Samantha Pultz, Andi Adderholt, Heather Anderson, Aaron Brumley, Meredith Shoemaker, Erica Disney, Matthew Pultz, Joseph Pultz, Angel Pultz, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at The Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist with Father James West officiating.
Pallbearers are Tony Pultz, Jr., Pat Pultz, Jeff Pultz, Brett Pultz, Jacob Pultz and Gerald Harvey.
Honorary pallbearers are Matthew and Joseph Pultz, Patrick A. Pultz, Louis Oswald, Al Wells, Bob Kness, Brad Jolly and Ralph Berdikoski.

Donal Ray Gregg
September 7, 1963 - April 20, 2013
Donal Ray 'Donnie' Gregg, 49, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013.
He was born September 7, 1963 in Tulare, California to Don and Janet Gregg.
Donnie worked for Diamond State Trucking. He loved to ride his Harley and enjoyed working in the yard and being in the great outdoors.
Donnie instilled a great work ethic in his son, D.J.
Donnie was a proud father and grandfather of three.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
He was predeceased by his mother. Donnie is survived by his son, Dennis (D.J.) Gregg and wife Anna of Texarkana, Arkansas; father, Don Gregg of Visalia, California; brother, Kent Gregg of Tulare, California; sister, Diana Perez and husband Mario of Tulare, California; grandchildren, Alyssa, Sienna and Addison of Texarkana; and the mother of his son, Jackie Gregg of Hot Springs.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Donnie's life from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
Funeral Service and memories will be shared at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A memorial run in honor of Donnie will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday at Gulpha Gorge Park to ride Donnie's favorite highway.
Stephen D. King
August 15, 1952 - April 21, 2013
Stephen D. King, 60, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away April 21, 2013.
He was born August 15, 1952, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to the late Stephen Harrison and Theresa Ann King.
He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years and loved to travel and play darts.
Stephen was a letter carrier for more than 20 years and retired from the United States Postal Service.
Stephen is survived by his sons, Justin and Ryan (Emily) King, both of Bossier City, LA; granddaughters Lillian and Breana King; sisters Sheila Morehouse, Donna King, and Sandra King; special friend Larry Spain; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date in California.
