Bill Chrietzberg
June 16, 1931 - May 21, 2013

Bill Chrietzberg, 81, of Hot Springs Village flew into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

He was born June 16, 1931 in Beaumont, Texas to Henry and Frances Chrietzberg.

Bill was a radio control electric enthusiast.

He enjoyed airplanes and had his private pilots’ license.

He also enjoyed astronomy and woodworking.

He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church.

Bill was a kind and gentle man who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Donna Chrietzberg of Hot Springs Village; son, William Glenn Chrietzberg (Irene Tallody) of Mendham, New Jersey; daughters, Carol Ann Clear (Tom) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Anne Rhawn Chrietzberg of Arlington, Texas; and stepchildren, Lynne White (Kevin) of Burleson, Texas and David Gibson; grandchildren, Bryan Chrietzberg, Krista Chrietzberg, Brett Clear (Rebecca), Patrick Clear (Erin), Melissa Clear, Aaron Clear and Jessica Haisler (Charles); step-grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Lauren Tallody; and six great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church with Dr. Walter Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ of the Hills Missions or Teen Challenge.

John Jay Plyler
June 28, 1932 - May 8, 2014

John Jay Plyler, 82, Glenwood, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014.

He was born June 28, 1932 in Dodd City, Texas to the late Gilbert H and Florence May (Luttrell) Plyler.

John Jay served over eleven years in the Military and retired from Texas Department of Corrections after fourteen years of service.

He was a member of the Seven Day Adventist Church in Bonnerdale, Arkansas.

John Jay is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bert C. Plyler.

He is a survived by his wife of fifty-years, JoAnn I. Plyler; step-daughters Teresa E. Smart, Elaine M. Smith and Leslie J. Carnahan; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Service will be at a later date.

Betty Lou Farr Ragsdale
February 28, 1936 - May 10, 2014

Betty Lou Farr Ragsdale, 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away May 10, 2014.

She was born February 28, 1936 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Jimmy and Clara (Denny) Farr.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Joe, Buster and Ernie; sister Annabelle and grandchildren Jesica and Bubby.

She is survived by her husband Rogan Rollins of Winnsboro, Texas; sons Johnny Rollins and George Ragsdale (Sharon) of Hot Springs and Lee Ragsdale of North Carolina; daughters Sherry Jackson (Ernie) of N. Richland Hills, Texas; Sue Howard (Roger) of Magnet Cove, Arkansas; Brenda Stewart of Hot Springs; Sharon Rollins (Terrance) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Karen Rollins (Marvin) of Irving, Texas; Linda Rollins of Little Rock, Arkansas and Donna Rollins of Houston, Texas; sister Shirley Farr and sister-in-law JoAnn Farr both of Hot Springs, Arkansas; twenty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

James Paul Hunter
March 6, 1948 - May 9, 2014

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, James Paul Hunter, 66, of Royal, went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2014.

He was born March 6, 1948 to Paul and Elsie (Herron) Hunter.

James Paul was a 1965 Lake Hamilton High School graduate and has remained dear to everyone that had the joy of spending school days with him.

He served with the Arkansas National Guard and worked in sales and management.

James Paul was a devoted Christian and previously served as an ordained deacon.

He was a member of Crossgate Baptist Church.

He invested time in the lives of many young people and was an active member of his community.

He is predeceased by his parents.

Loving survivors include his wife of 45 years, Helen Hunter; son, Jason and his wife, Melissa Hunter; daughter, Tami and her husband, Chris Leturno; granddaughters, TeaJae Feld, Jesi Feld and Abby Hunter; a large extended family and countless friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Barnard and Pastor Clarence Shell officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Pallbearers are Josh Dodd, RanDell Maull, Jerry Chapmond, Steven Caruthers, Jason Gloria, John Jett Herron, Rusty Hunter and Todd Murray.

Phyllis Elaine Cline
March 30, 1922 - May 7, 2014

Phyllis Elaine Cline, 92, of Hot Springs Village passed away May 7, 2014.

She was born March 30, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Charlotte Jensen.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She and her family were members of the 'Firehouse Gang', founding members of Village United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed golf, travel and was a member of almost every quilters club in the Village.

Phyllis was a kind and caring soul who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 49 years, Frank Cline and brother, Robert Jensen.

Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Bob Cline of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Larry (Paula) Cline of Merritt Island, Florida, Nancy Cline and Shelley Reyes, both of Hot Springs Village; brothers, Dick (Doris) Jensen of Wisconsin and David (Darlene) Jensen of Ohio; grandchildren, Travis, Katie, Patrick, Mark, Lindsey and Vande; and five great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. May 20th at Village United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to VUMC.

Lloyd Vance "Dick" Hise
October 14, 1933 - May 5, 2014

Lloyd Vance 'Dick' Hise, 80, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2014.

He was born October 14, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Recil Herman Hise and Merle Lahoma Horne Hise Fisher.

Lloyd attended Claremore Military Academy in Claremore Oklahoma, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1958 with a B.A. in business.

He then entered into finance and sales positions and in 1964 began his own insurance agency representing State Farm Insurance Company.

He was honored in 1965 to be selected as a member of Who’s Who in Oklahoma City and after he was established in his insurance company, was honored as a member of the President’s Club as one of the top 1, 000 agents in the U.S. at that time.

Lloyd retired in 1997 after 33 years of service.

Over the years, he became a member of a number of service clubs and volunteered many hours, notably as a Red Cross Disaster worker deployed to several hurricanes and other disasters.

He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for 15 years serving on the National Board, a Flotilla Commander and doing water rescue and water safety instruction.

As a Boy Scoutmaster, he and a friend were asked to start the first Boy Scout troop in a poverty area in Oklahoma City when the Boy Scouts decided to use his troop as an innovative experiment to see what results could be accomplished. It became as very successful troop.

Lloyd became active in his church as a teacher, lay minister and made several trips to other countries.

He was a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association and was in prison ministry in Oklahoma.

He and his wife Eletha Marie Guy Hise would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 16, 2014.

Lloyd is survived by wife, Eletha of Hot Springs Village; daughter, Leslie Hise Hamilton and husband Doug, Orlando, Florida; son, Gregory S. Hise and wife Debra, Oklahoma City; son-in-law, John Wong, Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Machelle Hise of Oklahoma City, Robert Wong of Pflugerville, Texas, Mai Ling Wong Cavo of Round Rock, Texas, Stephanie Israel of Jay, Florida and Whitney Hise of Miramar, Florida; and ten great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents; daughter, Marcella Hise Wong; and grandchild, Jamie LeClair Hise.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 12th in the Sugar Grove cemetery near Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas.

Memorial Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be Thursday, May 15th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Caruth Village Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to New Hope Church, 4501 Highway 7, Suite 14, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909.

Helen Belin
June 26, 1921 - May 5, 2014

Helen (Keller) Belin, 92, Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2014.

She was born June 26, 1921 in N. Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Ralph Eugene and Hazel Emma (Mentch) Keller.

She preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell H. Belin; son Russell E. Belin and daughter-in-law Georgia Belin.

Helen is survived by her sons Jack Belin of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Larry Belin (Joanne) of Warrior, Alabama; brother Ralph Eugene Keller of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. with service immediately following Friday, May 9, 2014 at Jobe Funeral Home in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park.

A. Eugene Monroe
December 8, 1928 - May 8, 2014

A. Eugene Monroe, 85, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away May 8, 2014.

He was born December 8, 1928, in Troy, Kansas, to the late Alva and Bessie Monroe.

Gene was a member of Jessieville Baptist Church and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather and was a friend to many.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Norma Monroe; daughters, Carol Burke (Brian), and Patricia Burdette; sister Allene Bussard; grandchildren, Cara Burke, Brandon McKinney, and B.T. Burke; great-grandchildren, Brian Burke IV, Laurelai Burke, Wade Alva McKinney, and Anna Burke.

A visitation will be held at Jessieville Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. Monday, with the service following at 10:00 a.m.

Bro. Derek Combs will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens cemetery.
