JoAnne Wiemers Bowie, 64, of Bentonville passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was
born December 15, 1951 in Evanston, IL to William and
Marquerite Rich Wiemers.
She had a love for art history, gardening and spending
time with her family.
JoAnne is survived by her husband, Arthur Flynt Bowie;
and one son, Joseph Bowie.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday,
February 23, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services,
2898 W. Walnut, Rogers, AR 72756.
Robert Samuel Spencer, Sr.
November 14, 1925 - January 9, 2016
Bentonville, Arkansas
Robert Samuel Spencer, Sr. died peacefully on January 9, 2016 in
Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 90.
Bob was born on November 14, 1925 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He
attended Bentonville High School where he played quarter back on
the football team. A veteran of World War II, he was drafted into
the United States Navy in 1943, and served in the South Pacific.
He married
Eleanor Ruth Polson on June 7, 1946.
He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1991, was an
active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville
and was a Past Master of Bentonville Masonic Lodge No. 56.
Bob was also active in various veterans groups, an avid fan of
University of Arkansas sports and Saint Louis Cardinals baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buell Brown & Vivian
Spencer; brothers, Buell Brown, Jr. and Thomas; sisters, Betty Ann
Krause, Peggy Looney, and Dorothy Spencer; and daughter,
Victoria Spencer.
Bob is survived by his wife, Eleanor; brother, William Spencer
(Susan) of Richmond, VA; son, Robert Jr. (Shirley) of Springdale,
AR; daughter, JoAnn Spencer (Ernest Campbell) of Atascocita,
TX; son, Christopher (Dianne) of Mount Juliet, TN; six
grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great
grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-6pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services, 2898 W. Walnut Rogers, AR
72756.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, January 13,
2016 at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with the
Rev. Dr. Kurt Boggan officiating. Burial will be at Bentonville
cemetery with full military honors.
Johnny Phillip Townzen
August 21, 1939 - February 13, 2016
Bentonville, Arkansas
Johnny Phillip Townzen, 76, of Bentonville, passed away Saturday, February 13,
2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was surrounded by the family
that he loved so dearly and loved him so very much. He was finally able to go
home after a lengthy, difficult battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Johnny was born
August 21, 1939 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Clarence Marion and Reta Lorraine
Townzen. He was the oldest of seven children.
Johnny’s joy in life was his family and helping others. He and Myrna were high
school sweethearts and would have been married
50 years if she had not preceded
him in death six months before their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009. Together
they had one son, John Bradley Townzen.
Johnny served in the Army National Guard and in the U.S. Army. He was a
successful businessman in Bentonville for many years with Triangle Builders
Supply until its sale. He started and retired from Townzen Tile. He was active in
civic clubs and charity work during those years. His business associates were like
family to him and those friendships continued throughout his life. Johnny
graduated from Bentonville High School in 1958 and maintained close friendships
over the years with many of his classmates. He treasured those friendships.
Johnny was a member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas for over
fifty years.
Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Myrna Sue Davidson
Townzen; his father, Clarence Marion Townzen and his sister, Reta Lorraine
Carnes.
He is survived by his son, Brad Townzen; his mother, Reta Townzen and his
siblings, Kathy Mayhall (Carl), Connie Ford (David), Zonna Coffee, Doris Bolain
(Ed) and Randy Townzen (Julie). Johnny loved all of his nieces and nephews,
Byron Mayhall, Jason Mayhall, Terri Fluitt, Kim Gallagher, Steve Bolain,
Stephanie Dean, Marion Thompson, Grant Coffee, Kellie Farrell and Ashley
Tate. He loved kids and most often was the biggest kid of all. He provided many
great memories for his nieces and nephews and for all of us.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers that expressed
their love and kindness over the past three difficult years. They all expressed their
love for him in so many ways. Special thanks to Good Shepherd, Clarity Point in
Fayetteville and Mt. Carmel in Rogers. Words cannot express our gratitude to
Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville for their tender care in Johnny’s last days
and for the kindness shown to our family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at First
Baptist Church in Bentonville with Pastor Phillip Smith officiating. Visitation will
be from 1:00PM, until service time. Burial will be in Bentonville cemetery.

Patrick Dale Candler, Sr.

Patrick Dale Candler, Sr., 64, of Bella Vista, AR died
Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Circle of Life, Legacy
Village in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was the son of
Kent and Diane Candler and was born July 31, 1951 in
Independence, Kansas.
He proudly served in the United States Army. Pat
enjoyed being around people; he was always happy and
loved to tell a good joke.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kent Candler in
2013.
Pat is survived by his wife, Julie Bagley Candler; one
daughter, Kathleen McCue and husband, Brian of
Levittown, PA; two stepchildren, Shannon and Rob
Woods of Stilwell, OK, Eli and Taylor Hill of
Bentonville; his mother, Diane Candler of Rogers; one
brother, Scott Candler and wife, Caroline of Fayetteville,
AR; one sister, Leah Candler of Bella Vista, AR and
three grandchildren, Serena, Sierra and Breanna.
A memorial visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00PM,
Monday, February 1, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral
Services in Rogers.
He will be laid to rest at the National cemetery in
Fayetteville.

William Alton 'Mr. Bill' Crabtree

William Alton 'Mr. Bill' Crabtree, 68, of Bentonville, Arkansas
passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his home, surrounded by
his loving family. He was born May 22, 1947 in Bentonville to
Sherman Delbert and Mary Elizabeth Pennington Crabtree.
Bill graduated from Bentonville High School in 1966. He was an
avid supporter of BHS sports and was well known as the Bentonville
Tiger's #1 fan. He was a 1968 graduate of Oklahoma State Tech in
Okmulgee, Ok. He worked for Wendt Sonis, TRW and retired from
Walmart.
He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in
Bentonville, where he was actively involved with the youth ministry.
Bill was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Bentonville Jaycees, FCA
and a Lifetime Member of the BHS Booster Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Virginia Mae
Bush and Peggy Ruth Crabtree, and one brother, Joe David Crabtree.
Bill is survived by his brother, Jimmie Crabtree and wife, Sue, of
Bentonville; brother-in-law, Vonden Bush of Bentonville; sister-in-
law, June Crabtree of Rogers, AR, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00PM, Tuesday, January 19,
2016, in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 20, 2016
at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with the Reverend

Uriah Danny Davis, 39, of Centerton, AR passed away at
his home, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, surrounded by his
loving family. He was born December 29, 1975 in
Ardmore, Oklahoma to Ricky and Susan Richardson Davis.
He was known for his positive attitude, kind heart, and love
for family and friends.
He was a board member at New Life Church in Rogers,
AR, served in the U.S. ARMY stationed in Okinawa,
Japan, was a valued employee at Wachter, Inc, in Lowell,
AR, and a member of Heart Connections, NWA.
Uriah had a love for music and singing, and was a talented
guitarist.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Richard G Davis, his
paternal grandfather, and his maternal grandparents.
Uriah is survived by his wife, Jamie; his parents Susan and
Danny (of Milburn); his grandmother Georgia; his children,
Sierra, Noah, and Ryan; Step-Children Ethan, Bailey, and
Taylor; his brothers, Philip and Travis, sister Tanya and
their families; Jamie's parents, Jim and Wilma Gregg; and
many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
Thomas Roy Evans
February 6, 1944 - January 27, 2016

Thomas Roy Evans, 71, of Rogers, Arkansas went home to be
with The Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his
residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born
February 6, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to R.D. Evans and Erline
Heddins Evans.
He proudly served in the United States Navy and retired after
twenty years’ service to our country. Following his Naval
Career, he went to work as an accountant and retired from
Cargill in Springdale, AR. He attended Southside Church of
Christ.
Tom enjoyed the outdoors, playing tennis, fishing and working
on projects around the house. He was known as 'Mr. Fix-it'
because he could fix anything and loved doing it!
He was an active, wonderful husband, father, grandfather and
great grandfather to his family and was affectionately known to
everyone as 'WaWa'. He even had it on his license plate. It
was term of endearment started many years ago by his
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rita
Willingham.
Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Clemmons
Evans; two daughters, Lisa Jameson and Sabrina Perry, both of
Rogers; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Luzzi and husband, Rick,
Brooke Boller and husband, Jairemy Smith, Madison Boger
and husband, Ryan, Haley Perry; 7 great grandchildren, Tripton
Luzzi, Ashlyn Luzzi, Brooklyn Luzzi, Ja’Dyxx Smith, Adley
Boger, Parker Boger, Nora Boger; one brother, Alvin Evans
and wife, Kathy of Lubbock, TX and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, February 2,
2016 at Southside Church of Christ in Rogers with Minister
Jackie Chesnutt officiating.
Burial will follow at 1:00PM at the National cemetery in
Fayetteville with full military honors.

James Daniel 'Jimmy' Leach
August 8, 1957 - January 2, 2016
Gravette, Arkansas
James Daniel 'Jimmy' Leach, 58, of Gravette died suddenly at his
home on Saturday, January 2, 2016, from an apparent heart attack.
Jimmy was born on August 8, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio to his loving
parents Clyde D. and JoAnn Leach and was a longtime resident of
Northwest Arkansas.
He worked as a manager in the Jewelry Division of Wal-Mart Store,
Inc. and had previously served for over ten years as a volunteer
firefighter in Centerton.
Jimmy enjoyed going to local antique shows and shop meets with his
family where he was known for his eye for finding antiques and
jewelry at a bargain.
He was a lifelong motorcyclist and automobile aficionado who found
great joy sharing these hobbies with his treasured son, Colton.
He is survived by his mother, JoAnn; three brothers, Clyde E. Leach,
Lyle E. Leach, and John R. Leach; two sisters, Evelyn V. Rawlins and
Laureen E. Nelsen. Jimmy was the proud father of three children from
his marriage to Melissa Coffelt, Lindsey, Morgan and Colton Leach.
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services with a memorial service starting
at 7pm.
