Wanda Fay Harbit, 81, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Circle of Life
Hospice. She was born January 31, 1935 in Springdale, AR to Jesse and
Laveda Edwards.
Wanda was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas, graduating from
Bentonville High School in 1952, and the University of Arkansas in 1972.
She had careers as a public school teacher, home interior designer, and
most recently as a top producing real estate agent. Her lifelong love of
church and volunteering were the driving forces in her life. Wanda was a
member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the First Presbyterian Church of
Bentonville. She loved visiting and sharing stories with her family and
friends, her bible study, her flowers, and traveling all over the US and the
world with her husband, Bob.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob"
Harbit in 2010; and three sisters, Martha Garrett, Juanita Spillman, and
Peggy Warnock.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Kathy Garrett and husband, Mike of
Bella Vista; three sons, Kent Horton and wife, Jan of Springfield, MO,
Terry Horton and wife, Melissa of Decatur, AR, and Larry Horton and
wife, Mary of Bentonville; one step-son, Mike Harbit and wife, Beverly
of Nevada MO; step-daughter, Stacy Haggerton of Midland, TX,
step-daughter, Desiree Carrinder and husband, Trent of Fayetteville; 15
grandchildren, Michelle Doty, Brooke Wheatley, John Bundy, Lindy
Denny, Tyler Horton, Ace Horton, Ryan Horton, Stephanie Horton,
Miranda Horton, Alex Horton, John Horton, Eric Haggerton, Bailey
Harbit, Alec Haggerton, Connor Harbit; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm, Friday, March 25, 2016, at the First
Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 NE J Street.
Funeral Service will be at 1pm, Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the First
Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Katie Cummings and the Rev. Georgia
Senor co-officiating. Burial will follow at the Bentonville cemetery.

Berdena K. Brewer

Berdena K. Brewer, 97, of Bella Vista, AR passed away Monday, April 18, 2016. She was born December 17, 1918 in
Newkirk, OK, and was the daughter of Henry Joe Backhaus
and Nora Retting Backhaus.
She later moved to Rogers, AR and married
her sweetheart,
Charley George Brewer, Sr.
Berdena was a faithful member of First United Methodist
Church and enjoy being at home and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charley in 1995;
one daughter, Kathleen Brewer-York in 2015 and her parents.
Berdena is survived by her son, Charley Brewer, Jr. and wife,
Veryla of Bella Vista, AR; seven grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; and a niece, Karen Sage of Rogers, AR.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, April 22,
2016 at Benton County Memorial Park with the Rev. Rex
Dickey officiating.

Lucille JoAnn 'Lou' Gaye, 101, of Bella Vista, Ark.
passed away, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Circle of
Life in Bentonville, Ark. She was born February 26,
1915 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Pete and Mary
Palacino Pulvirenti.
In 1969, after traveling and living in many countries
around the world, she and her husband, Fredrick Gaye,
settled in Bentonville where they established and
operated what has become a cherished local landmark,
Fred’s Hickory Inn, for over 45 years. She had recently
celebrated her 101 birthday there.
She was a kind, gentle spirit, and unconditionally
accepting of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Fred Gaye in 2005; son, Tony Gaye in 2012; three
brothers and two sisters.
Lou is survived by one daughter, Fredda Porter of Bella
Vista; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and
many dear friends.
Memorial services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, April 2,
2016 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Rogers with
The Rev. Craig Gavin and the Rev. Allen Bates
officiating.

Rita Lynn (Behrens) Isenbart, 60, of Centerton, AR passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. She was born Feb. 25, 1956 in Wichita, KS
to Richard and Mary Lee Behrens.
Rita loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Isenbart; two
children, Tommy Collins, Jr. of Bentonville and Francesca Harris
and husband, Gabe of Gravette; one step-son, Cody Isenbart and
wife, Brandy of Springdale; and six grandchildren that she loved
deeply.

Bentonville City cemetery with Pastor Gabe Harris officiating.

Lawrence Martin Simone, 82, of Bentonville, Ark., died
Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Ashley Health and Rehab in
Rogers. He was born February 4, 1934 in St. Paul, MN to
James Simone and Mary Parenti Simone.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the
Korean War. He loved cars, motorcycles and enjoyed country
music.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma Howe
Simone; son, Larry Simone and wife, Denise; daughter, Barbara
Simone both of Bentonville; four grandchildren, Sarah
Greenbank and husband, Jeff, Patrick Carson and wife,
Jessica, Tommy Simone, Ray Simone all of Bentonville and
seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM, Tuesday, March 1,

Evelyn Christine Geving, 84, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away,
Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was
born March 5, 1932 in Harvey, North Dakota to William and
Albertina Scheer.
She proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Evelyn was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell.
She was preceded in death by her partner, George Robbins in 2010
and one son, Jay Geving in 2008.
Evelyn is survived by six children, one brother, numerous
grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends.

Lois Buell Lovett, 94, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away, Saturday,
July 2, 2016. She was born March 19, 1922 in Dry Fork, Ark
ansas to Samuel Peel and Minnie Viola Stamps Sugg.
She was an active volunteer at Helping Hands for 28 years.
Lois was a member of First United Methodist Church in Downtown
Rogers and attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Arch
Buell and Roscoe Lovett; son, Larry Buell and eight siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Saunders and husband, Kevin
of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law Cheryl Buell and
granddaughter, Cayenne Buell of Winslow, AR.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM, Friday, July 8, 2016 at

David Emory Newton

David Emory Newton, 54, of Centerton, AR passed away August 4, 2016.
He was born in Baltimore, MD to Dr. Joseph Emory O’Neal Newton and
Elizabeth (Kurz) Newton.
David graduated from Arkansas State University (Class of '84) with a
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. He worked for Walmart for
over 19 years, and was currently a co-owner/engineer with a technology
consulting firm - Engineering With IT (Engwit).
David was a faithful, active member of Grace Point Church in Bentonville,
AR., as well as a vital member of the Free Indeed music ministry.
David had a huge heart, and made room in his circle for everyone. He
loved unconditionally, and always saw the best in everyone. An engaging
and inquisitive conversationalist, he was genuinely interested in
understanding others' point-of-view, appreciating the differences of
opinion, culture, and experience that define human individuality. David
was adept at making others feel accepted and important in his presence.
His friendly manner, his quick wit, and his Christ-like love drew others to
him. He was a man of character and boundless generosity. His family and
friends were always sure of his love for them.
David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lezlie Hewitt Newton; one son,
Cody Newton of Bentonville; one daughter, Callie Erisman and husband,
Cole of Springdale and their daughter, Evalyn Erisman; his father, Dr.
Joseph Newton of Ridgecrest, CA; sister, Martha Lester and husband, Peter
of Fayetteville, AR and their children, Asha Lester, Erin Lester, Trajan
Lester and wife, Hannah; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Pat Hewitt of
Bryant, AR; sister-in-law, Tonya Hewitt of Little Rock, AR and many dear
friends.
For the memorial service, casual dress (or 'tech-casual' as David might
say) is encouraged.
Memorial services will be at 3:00PM, Monday, August 8, 2016 at Grace
Point Church in Bentonville with Pastor Wade Bryant and Pastor Mike
McDaniel officiating.

Doris Ann Palmer, 88, of Bentonville, Arkansas, joined our Heavenly
Father, Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Circle of Life in Springdale, AR. She
was born July 31, 1927 in Centerton, Arkansas to J. B. and Ellen Collins
Featherston.
She was a lifelong resident of Bentonville, AR, worked at Bates Hospital
for 15 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Bentonville.
Doris loved cooking for her loved ones and especially loved delivering
homemade cookies to her grandchildren.
A true matriarch, she kept the family encouraged. Doris had a wonderful
sense of humor, stayed positive and brought joy to every situation.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Curgin
Featherston, Jay 'Sonny' Featherston and Charles Featherston.
She is survived by two sons, Kenny Palmer and wife, Cathy, Buddy Palmer
and wife, Shirley; one daughter, Susie Casey; one sister, Jeanette Moore,
all of Bentonville; 5 grandchildren, Lance Palmer, Jason Gramling, Shelli
James, Cole Casey and Justin Palmer and 9 great grandchildren; Kayla
Palmer, Sydney Gramling, Tatum Palmer, Tyler James, Jacob Gramling,
Conner Gramling, Hunter James and Corbin Casey.

Richard Leroy Allison passed away on Saturday, April 9,
2016. Born January 4, 1936, the youngest of eleven to
Roy and Blanche Allison.
Richard was born and raised in Oak Hill, Kansas, where
he met the love of his life, his wife, Retha Jean.
He was an avid fisherman and spent many days on
Beaver Lake. Richard also had a love for his cat,
Tuxedo, that exceeded a love for any other animal to
ever roam.
Survived by: four daughters, Vickie Taylor-Vazquez,
Denese Ann Holt, Gloria Jean, Kimberly Kay Mitchell;
eleven grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three
sisters, Freda Marlene Beck, Gladys Harrison, and Doris
Adam.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, April
15, 2016 at Coffelt cemetery in Vaughn, Arkansas.
