Christine Montzella Alsup

Christine Montzella Alsup, 95, of Gravette, Arkansas passed away,
Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Circle of Life Legacy Village, in
Bentonville. She was born May 5, 1921 in Huffstuttle, Texas to
Roy and Lille Mae Jones. After graduating from high school in
Woodson, TX, she married
Lee Roy Alsup, January 6, 1940 in
Breckenridge, TX. They farmed in the Texas panhandle until 1970
when they moved to NW Arkansas and purchased Blossom Hill
Ranch southeast of Gravette.
She was a true farm wife and helpmate to her husband, Lee Roy.
Her life motto was 'faith, family and farming.' They were named
'Benton County Farm Family' of the year in 1999. Many folks
were blessed to receive her famous 'homemade pies' and to see
her collection of Fenton glass. Hummingbirds and flowers were
other pastimes she enjoyed.
Always active in the community, she was past president of NWA
Cowbells, a member of Eastern Star and Heritage Baptist Church in
Gravette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years;
two brothers and six sisters.
Christine is survived by four children; sons, Dennis Alsup and wife,
Camelia of Rogers, Danny Alsup and wife, Debbie of Gravette;
daughters, Lavon Stark and husband, Rickie of Gravette, Simona
Simon and husband, Milton of Lubbock, TX; three sisters, Wanda
Gage of Cross Plains, TX, Muriel Swing of Worland, WY, Gerry
Gray and husband, Donnie, of Cookville, TN; eight grandchildren,
Tim Alsup, Kevin Alsup, Angie Martin, Michelle House, Tyneal
Buckner, Lacy Miller, Jacy Lippoldt, Carson Alsup; seven great-
grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at
Heritage Baptist Church in Gravette with the Rev. Dr. Darrell
Kepler officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time.

Francis Wayne Butler
May 7, 1940 - July 15, 2016

Francis Wayne Butler, 76, Commander, United States Navy Retired,
passed away at home July 15, 2016. 'Wayne' to his family and
'Frank' to his friends, he is survived by his wife of 53 years,
Maggie Butler; his brother, Steven Butler and wife, Becky of
Fayetteville, GA and his sister, Carol Foy and husband, Louis of
Pollocksville, NC.
Frank was preceded in death his parents, William Loyce and Bertie
Lee Butler.
Born May 7, 1940 in Georgetown, SC, Frank grew up in Mt.
Pleasant, SC, before graduating from the US Naval Academy in
1963. After serving briefly on Navy destroyers, he applied for flight
school and earned his wings as a Navy pilot in 1967. He served
three tours in Southeast Asia including a tour in Viet Nam as a pilot
with Helicopter Attack Squadron Three where he flew 650 armed
combat missions, earning numerous decorations including the
Distinguished Flying Cross, 27 Strike Flight Air medals, and two
Navy Commendations for Valor. In a later tour, as part of the initial
cadre for Operation End Sweep, he piloted the first flight into
Haiphong, North Viet Nam on the days immediately following the
end of the Viet Nam War. Frank served in a total of 14 operational
and senior leadership positions and retired from the Navy after a
total of 31 years. He was fond of saying that the Navy never felt
like a job because he loved serving his country.
Frank and Maggie retired to Bentonville, Arkansas in 1989. His love
for the area made it home. During his years in Arkansas he became
an avid Rotarian, and was involved with the Ozark Society. A
lifelong bird hunter and outdoorsman, Frank served many years on
the committee for Benton County Quail and spent countless days in
the woods and fields with his beloved Brittany Spaniels.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
Visitation will be held at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in
Rogers on Tuesday, July 19th from 6-8 PM. Rosary at 7:30.
The funeral will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church in
Bentonville on Wednesday, July 20th at 10 AM.
Burial services will be at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens in Mt.
Pleasant, SC, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 2:00PM.

Maria Fernanda Zuniga Morales, 37, of Rogers, AR died
Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born November 30, 1978 in
Guayaquil, Ecuador to Reyna Morales and Manuel Zambrano.
She is survived by husband, Juan Torres; three children,
Andra, Gabriela and Andres Ormeno; and sister-in-law,
Lorena.
Services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Iglesia
Luterana Cristo Para Todos, 1800 West Emma in Springdale.

Dena Morris, 57, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away, Friday,
May 6, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
She is survived by her parents, Dixie McAllister and Arnold
Lehman; her husband, Donnie; two children, Luke Morris of
Bella Vista and Alex Gray of Rogers; two sisters, Darla
Simpson and Donna Whited of Bentonville and three
grandchildren, Peyton, Aiden, and Zoe.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, May 9,
2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville with the
Rev. Katie Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
Pleasant cemetery in Hiwasse.

Lloyd Reed

Lloyd Reed, 88, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May
31, 2016 at Highlands of NWA in Rogers. He was born April 30, 1928 in
Dearborn, Michigan to Ivey and Fannie Cosby Reed. He grew up in
Paducah, KY.
He served two years in the Air Force in Alaska before returning to
Paducah. He married
Charlotte Jones in February 1950. He went to
Business College and began working for Firestone, a career which lasted
for over 20 years, managing stores in Vicksburg, MS, Clarksdale, MS, Fort
Smith, AR and Memphis, TN. He retired from Firestone to open his own
tire store in Fort Smith, AR in 1974. After retiring, he and his wife moved
to Bentonville in 2005 to be near their family.
While in Fort Smith, Lloyd was a member of Spradling Baptist Church,
where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. After
moving to Bentonville, he and his wife joined Eagle Heights Baptist
Church and then Crossroads Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Reed; his parents; one
brother and five sisters.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte, of the home; one son,
Bill and his wife, Eva of Fayetteville; one daughter, Diane Koenigseder
and her husband, Jim of Bentonville; six grandchildren, Casey
Koenigseder, Tara Hill (Brady), Chris Reed, Nate Koenigseder (Julie),
Mallory Reed and Whitney Koenigseder; six great-grandchildren, Kane,
Eleanor, Shepherd and Finley Koenigseder, Emma Chambers and Cadey
Wewers and one brother David Reed of Pasadena, TX.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd’s grandsons, great-grandsons and Brady Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Olen Price, Auburn Jones, Jan Colvett, Kevin
and Brandon Walker, Jim Brewer and Alvin Burrell.
Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 5:00PM, Sunday, June 5, 2016 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM, Monday, June 6, 2016 at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers officiated by Rev. Ron Williamson,
Lloyd’s pastor and friend for many years at Spradling Baptist Church in
Fort Smith.
Burial will be in the National cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.

Evalyn Amarett Schulz, 90, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away,
Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Circle of Life in Bentonville. She was
born November 8, 1925 in Lawrence, Kansas to Charles Ernest and
Daisy Nottingham Ralston.
Evalyn faithfully served with her husband in business and ministry for
many years. She devoted much of her life to intercessory prayer and
sharing God's love with the people surrounding her. She was a
wonderful wife, mother and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and the love of
her life, Norman Schulz; daughter, Pamela Calisch and one brother,
Scott Ralston.
Evalyn is survived by two sons, Norman Lee Schulz II of Elwood,
Illinois, Mark Schulz and wife, Rhonda of Pineville Missouri; one
daughter, Beverly Shriver of Bentonville; one brother, Charles
Ralston and wife, Martha; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Friday, March 18th, 2016 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
Graveside service will be at 1:00PM, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at
Bentonville cemetery. Open house following at Evalyn's home in

Helen Shuptrine

Helen Shuptrine, 69, of Bentonville, passed away on Wednesday, October
5, 2016 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on Friday, January 17,
1947 in Nashville, Arkansas to the late William "Buck" and Verna Tedford
(Ross). Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Ronald Shuptrine, Sr. and her sister, Shirley Fatheree.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Robert Shuptrine of Bixby, Oklahoma
and Ronald Shuptrine and wife, Rene of Bentonville; two daughters, Rachel
and Rebecca Shuptrine both of Bentonville; and nine grandchildren, Sean,
Jeremiah, Luke, Ashley, Devin, Aiden "AJ", Bentley, Noah and Ryan.
Helen had careers with the Federal Government, as a Legal Secretary and
most recently, with the Bentonville Historical Society.
Her lifelong love of church and volunteering were the driving forces in her
life. She was a member of the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. She
loved researching genealogy of the Ross family and sharing her findings
with others through her website and at family reunions. She was an avid
volunteer in her community. Her greatest passion was service to the Alanon
and Alateens. She had a special heart for her Alateens.

Robert (Bob) C. Ellis
February 12, 1934 - October 5, 2016

Robert (Bob) C. Ellis, 82, 0f Rogers passed away Wednesday, October 5,
2016 at Jamestown Nursing Home and Rehab. He was born February 12,
1934 in Des Moines, IA to Clarence and Gladys Regnet Ellis.
Bob graduated from East High School and attended Drake University.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and
also served in the National Guard while living in Iowa.
Bob married
the love of his life, Dorothy M. Ellis and they had 40 wonderful
years together before she passed away on October 15, 2010.
After 20 years of driving for Flynn Dairy, Bob retired. Then he worked with
the Des Moines Public Schools system for over 23 years.
After retiring to Rogers, he and his wife, Dorothy ushered at all the sports
activities at the University of Arkansas for 21 years. He also volunteered
and served the patients at Circle of Life Hospice and Highlands Oncology
for two years until he became ill.
Bob was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he received his
'Stephen Ministry' certificate.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy and one
brother, Dan Ellis.
Bob is survived by his family and good friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:00am until noon, Monday, October 10,
2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services, 2898 W. Walnut, Rogers, AR
72756.
At noon we will proceed to Rogers City cemetery for a graveside service
with Pastor James Longmate officiating and full military honors.

after an extended illness.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Wayne
Perryman and three sons, Lonny Wilson, Danny
