Wilbur 'Will' Hammack, 74, 0f Tulsa, Oklahoma died
Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born
August 5, 1941 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Loyd
Wilbur and Carrie Crouse Hammack.
Will received an undergraduate degree in business from
the University of Tulsa. He spent time in the medical
device sales industry, and ultimately pursued his dream
of opening his own business. He operated Midwest
Publishing for over 25 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where
he lived for over 45 years.
He rooted for the Arkansas Razorbacks when they
weren’t playing the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes, and
relished the chance to keep up with his alma mater,
The Bentonville Tigers. He had a love for cooking,
especially grilling, fishing, and gardening. His passion
for making people laugh and being thoughtful will
always be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother J.
D. Wade and one sister, Barbara Hammack and his
beloved cat, Murphy.
Will is survived by his wife, Inge, of the home; five
children, Sherri Ford, Lourri Hammack, Christin
Stansbury, Anne Schmadl, Bradlee Hammack and two
grandchildren Alison and Emily Ford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am.
Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Stephen Catholic Church
in Bentonville, Arkansas with the Rev. Msgr. Scott L.
Marczuk officiating. Burial will follow in Bentonville
cemetery.

Mary Rozina Hogan (formally Fink), 64, of Rogers, Arkansas
passed away, Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Springfield,
Missouri. Mary was born October 22, 1951 in St. Louis,
Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Lana Kathleen
(Orr) and Andrew Julius Backy, Sr.
She was a devoted Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother: Maybelle
(Godier) Backy; four brothers: Andrew J. Backy, Jr., Thomas
Backy, Michael Backy and William S. 'Willy' Backy; and a
sister: Candy Marie Carrow.
Mary is survived by two sons: Ronald Paul Fink, Jr., his wife,
Kristen, and Michael Allen Fink, all of Bella Vista, Ark.; two
granddaughters: Madeline Camile Fink, and Emma Grace Fink;
two brothers: Anthony 'Tony' Backy of New Mexico and
Marvin 'Marty' (Christy) Backy of Conway, Ark.; three
sisters: Beverly (the late Dr. John) Wagner of St. Louis, Cathy
(Dean) Vogelaar of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Carla
McGraw of Crystal City, Missouri.
A Funeral Prayer Service will be at 12 Noon, Tuesday, March
1, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with
Monsignor David LeSieur officiating. She will be laid to rest
in the Columbarium at St. Stephen Catholic Church in
Bentonville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time.

Sally Greenert Kern, 74, of Rogers, Arkansas passed
away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Circle of Life
Legacy Village in Bentonville, AR. She was born
December 11, 1941 in Denver, CO to Francis and
Margaret Pitcher Greenert.
She was a professional photographer and artist and
enjoyed working in oils and creating beautiful landscapes
and abstract paintings. She loved all animals but
especially her little dog, Tiny.
Sally attended Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers and
was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers;
and one sister.
Sally is survived by two daughters, Wendy Cox of
Topeka, KS and Shannon Rumsey and husband, Bill of
Rogers; one sister, Becky Aguilar of Norman, OK; three
grandchildren, Andrew Cox, Lindsey Miner, Logan
Rumsey; and her special dog, Tiny.
Memorial services will be at 2pm, Saturday, April 2,
2016, at Lake Prairie Creek in the main pavilion, 9300 N.

Jerry Ernest 'Ernie' Stegall

Jerry Ernest 'Ernie' Stegall, 66, of Bentonville, AR passed away April 28,
2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. He was born February
9, 1950 in Garden City, KS to Norman and Priscilla Hall Stegall.
Ernie was a man that dedicated his life to his family. He loved his brothers,
sisters, nieces and nephews. He gave everything he had. He was always
there with an extra tool, set of keys, anything that his daughters needed or
anyone else at any time day or night.
Ernie worked for Walmart Distribution Center for over 27 years. He was a
NASCAR fan and his favorite drivers were Dale Earhart Sr. and Jr. He
was also a huge OU Sooners fan, but the true athletes that he supported
where his grandsons, Ashton and Camryn. He loved going to their baseball,
basketball, flag football, soccer games and watching them ride their dirt
bikes. He dressed in the team colors and loved helping supply their
equipment. Ernie’s last purchase was a set of Walkie Talkies because he
was not able to walk up to the bleachers to cheer. He would sit in his truck
and encourage and cheer on the team through the Walkie Talkies.
He was a wonderful dancer, loved camping and canoeing on the Illinois
River in his earlier years.
He always told his family to 'slow down and do it right the first time'.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ernest Martin
and Danny Stegall.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ginger Ray Stegall; two
daughters, Tara L. Stegall and Jerri R. Tracy; two grandsons, Ashton and
Camryn Tracy all of Bentonville; two brothers, Marty and Troy Stegall:
two sisters, Jackie Graham and husband, Gary, Patty Maupin and husband,
Kirk all of Oklahoma.
Pallbearers include Ashton Tracy, Camryn Tracy, Jimmy Dale Stegall,
Billy Joe Stegall, Gary Graham, Steve Ray, Flynt Ray, Stowe Ray, and
Rayce Benson.’
Honorary pallbearers include Marty Stegall, Troy Stegall, Bob Benson,
David Willet, Darrin Rickets, Richard Denton, and Gene Tallant.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Services.
Funeral service will be at 1pm, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Chapel with Jim Moore officiating. Burial will be at
Buttram Chapel cemetery in Pea Ridge with full military honors.
Helen Joyce Engler

Helen Joyce Engler, 78, passed from this life on March 7, 2016, and was joined
with her Heavenly Father. She was born in Durant, OK and moved to Yuma, AZ
with her parents in the 1950’s. She graduated from Yuma Union High School and
attained her college diploma in music from Northeastern University in Chicago,
IL.
Aunt Joyce was a pianist at heart playing the piano from the age of 5. Her mother
said she had 'perfect pitch'. Along with being on faculty at Northeastern
University, she was on faculty at the prestige Chicago Conservatory College
(claimed to be the first music conservatory in the U.S.) teaching piano. She held
numerous recitals and concerts. She was an award winner with Society of
American Musicians.
After retiring in the early 1990’s, she moved to the Rogers area to be closer to
her mother. Aunt Joyce was a devoted daughter, making the needs of her parents
her first priority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Tommie Engler; a sister, Joe
Sue Engler; and a nephew, Larry Cobb Engler.
She is survived by her nephews and niece, Michael Cobb, Gary Cobb (Sandee),
and Suzanne Cobb; many great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and
nephews. She will be missed by all of us, but we look forward to seeing her again
in the next life.
One of her beliefs was 'believe that God has a purpose for each and every life
and each and everything that happens. Our part is to love, obey, trust and follow'.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Rogers
First Church of The Nazarene.

Matthew David Oliver, 23, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, a vibrant, creative and passionate young man who loved

He was born February 23, 1984 in Pella, Iowa to Gary Oliver and Carrie Webster Oliver.

Balters, of Omaha, Nebraska; Ashley and Jordan Binfield, of Doniphan, Nebraska, and his fiancée Amanda

She was born April 21, 1959 in Wood River, Nebraska to Richard Webster and Marilyn Vogt Webster.
Carrie was a wife, mother, national speaker, author, teacher, university instructor and Licensed Professional
Counselor. She earned her M.A. from Denver Seminary and her B.A. from the University of Nebraska.
She had over 15 years experience counseling both in community agencies and as part of church-based counseling
centers. In addition to her clinical experience, she was the Director of the University Relationships Initiative
with the Center for Relationship Enrichment at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Carrie was
part of a team that designed and delivered programs to help students cultivate emotional and relational maturity
during their pivotal college years. She also worked with church leaders and individual congregations to help them
become more effective in ministering to the whole person.
In addition to consulting and training Carrie specialized in counseling with couples, women’s issues, and helping
people cultivate emotional intelligence, and develop healthy ways to deal with their emotions.
Carrie spoke at national conferences and women’s retreats. In addition, she and her husband, Dr. Gary J. Oliver,
traveled nationally providing their Growth-Focused Marriage Enrichment Seminars and parenting workshops.
She has contributed to several books and magazines, co-authored "Grown-Up Girlfriends", "Raising Sons and
Loving It", and "Mad About Us: Moving From Anger To Intimacy With Your Spouse", and with her husband
Gary, was a regular columnist with Marriage Partnership and Home Life magazines.
Carrie is survived by her husband of 26 years Gary Oliver, two sons Nathan Oliver and his wife Amy of Siloam
Springs, Andrew Oliver, of Siloam Springs; her parents Richard and Marilyn Webster of Grand Island, Nebraska;
two sisters Dr. Christine Webster of Omaha, Nebraska, Barb Binfield, and her husband Mike of Doniphan,
Nebraska, and a sister-in-law Marsha Oliver of Siloam Springs. Carrie was preceded in death by her son
Matthew Oliver.
A memorial celebration will be held at 12: 30 pm Friday July 6, 2007 at Fellowship Bible Church of
Northwest Arkansas with Pastors Chip Jackson, Mark Shatzman, and Robert Cupp officiating. A Celebration
Reception will follow the service on Friday, at Fellowship Bible. Carrie requested in the past that black not be
worn by guests at the service. Per her wishes, please wear "colorful and sporty" attire.

Velma Hall 87, of Rogers, died Thursday February 28, 2008 in Springdale, Arkansas
She was born July 18, 1920 in Gregory, South Dakota to Frank Powell and Alice Kenastom Powell.
Velma lived at Fountain Plaza in Rogers, loved to cook, play cards, fish, and was an excellent seamstress. Velma
raised Shetland ponies for her family’s entertainment. She was a member of the Hand & Foot Club, The
Widowers, and was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers. She moved to Northwest
Arkansas in 1992 from Camp Verde, Arizona.
Survivors include two daughters Jacque Hargus and her husband Chuck, of Bentonville, Gwenda Barnes of
Cottonwood, Arizona ; a brother Vern 'Buck' Powell of Lakewood, California; 8 grandchildren, 21 great
grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Marvin
Hall, a son Duane Hall, 9 siblings, and 1 great grandchild..
Cremation arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.
