Betty Ann Jefferson Holland, 93, of Bentonville, AR passed to
a better place on July 14, 2015 in Rogers, AR.
She was born October 27th, 1921 in Mountain View, AR to the
late Thomas Jefferson and Bessie Jefferson James. Betty was
a homemaker and loving mother, raising her family in Mountain
View, Marshall, Berryville and Horseshoe Bend, AR. Her
sweet disposition endeared her to her many friends and
relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John
Holland and grandson Todd Shaddox. She is survived by her
daughters: Linda Shaddox of Athens, TX and Margaret and
Richard Wentworth of Panama City, FL; her sons: Dr. John and
Marilyn Holland of Rogers, AR and James Holland and Tama
Crotts of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren: Suzanne Shaddox of
Athens, Tx; Carrie and Tony Dawes of Bentonville, AR; Matt
Holland of Bentonville, AR; Mark and Erin Holland of Little
Rock, AR; Jessica and Nick Eckel of Fort Worth, TX; Lee
Majors of Panama City, FL; Richard Wentworth of Lorton,
VA; great-grandchildren: Collin Shaddox, Madison Shaddox,
Lillie Dawes, Matthew Moreland, Jessica Moreland, Thomas
Moreland, Julian Moreland, Britain Chambers, Tyler Berry,
Lillie Dawes, Maren Eckel, Jack Eckel; and
great-great-grandchild Cage Berry. She is additionally survived
by a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July
18, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, 3rd and Elm,
Rogers, AR. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service
time. Services will be led by the Rev. Sandra Wanasek.
Gary Lee Jones

Gary Lee Jones, 33, of Rogers, Ark. died Dec. 10, 2014. He
was born August 18, 1981 in Bryan, Texas to Carter Nathan
Jones, Jr. and Karen Lynne Jones.
He is survived by two children, Ethan Jones and Emmy Jones;
his father, Nathan Jones of Dublin, Texas; his mother, Karen
Varnell, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Wesley Nathan Jones;
one sister, Kayla Lynne Varnell; grandfather, Carter Jones, Sr.
and many friends.
A memorial service will be held today at 2:00 pm at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Rex
Dickey officiating.
Lynden K. Louden
December 27, 1920 - November 26, 2015

Lynden K. Louden, 94, of Rogers, AR passed away Thursday,
November 26, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village
surrounded by his family. He was born December 27, 1920 in
Delton, MI to Robert B. and Alta C. Louden.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII.
Lynden had a love for fishing, especially with his son and his
grandson, Josh, playing pool and pinochle at the Adult Wellness
Center, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary of 67 years; a son,
Vern; a grandson, Curt; his parents and a brother and sister.
Lynden is survived by his daughter, Lynette Kirmer and husband,
Andy, of Rogers, AR; three grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday,
December 2, 2015 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of
Rogers with Bob Cemer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life
Hospice or the Adult Wellness Center of Rogers.

Don Earl Marietta
January 1, 1933 - July 8, 2015

Don Earl Marietta, 82, of Bentonville, AR passed away, July 8, 2015 in
Bentonville. He was born on January 1, 1933 and was the first baby born in
Colby, Kansas that year. He grew up on a farm during the post-depression
years, helping his family harvest wheat and driving it to market at the early
age of 11. Soon after, his family moved to Southern California for a better life
but returned to Colby and the farming-life.
As a young adult, Don worked on oil rigs making more money than his family
could ever imagine. After several injuries, he decided to join the Air Force at
the age of 20, and became an airplane mechanic in the Korean War. After
returning from war, he began a 30 year career with IBM in California, retiring
in 1991. Don moved with his wife, Jerre, to Bella Vista, Arkansas where they
became real estate agents for Coldwell Banker.
Don loved sports. He watched, talked, thought about and played sports as
often as he could. His memory of sports-facts was mind-boggling! He lettered
in both track and football in high school but soon became a life-long golf
enthusiast. In Bella Vista, he was a member of the MGA and loved to play
practical jokes on his partners as often as possible. Don loved to play snooker
at Riordan Hall with the guys and was an active bowler, playing a couple of
times a week with Jerre and the regular gang.
Don had 4 children with his first wife, Marian. His boys were born in Clovis,
New Mexico and his twin girls were born in Brush, Colorado.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Grace and John Emmet
Marietta and his brother, Carl. He is survived by his sisters, Marcia, Ethel and
Deanna and his children, Alan, Dale, Susan and Carol. He is also survived by
his extended family, Hershel and Stephanie
Blevins and their children, Harrison, Hanna, Christina and Natalie who knew
him as GranDon.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with military honors provided by the
American Legion Post # 100, Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard.

Betty Jo Morris

Betty Jo Morris, youngest daughter of Roy Guy and Eva Violet Fielding
departed this life Monday, June 15, 2015 at the age of 88.
Many of those years were spent as a gifted pianist, as well as occupant of
other positions in the Rogers Seventh-day Adventist Church of which she
was a member from five years old.
In 1978, Betty married
Lennis W. 'Bill' Morris with whom had developed
an ideal response in music until her stroke intervened in 2002. She will be
sorely missed, but her love for Jesus leaves us endearing hope for her
future.
Betty taught in the Rogers Public School System for more than thirty years,
retiring in 1990.
Betty Jo is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bill; two sons, Joe
Holland and wife, Charlotte of Gentry, AR and James W. Burr and wife,
Jeanie of Garfield, AR; three daughters, Patricia Sue Webb and husband,
William (MD) of Decatur, AR, Dianne Eva Leeman and husband, Russell
of Decatur, AR and Candace Kay Douglas and husband, Robert of Corpus
Christy, TX; two brothers, Roy Fielding and wife, Anni of Rogers and
Marion 'Cub' and wife, Artie of Gentry; many grandchildren, great-
grandchildren and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Stockdale-
Moody Funeral Services.
Memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Rogers

John David Rakes "John John", 48, of Fayetteville passed
away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Washington Regional
Medical Center in Fayetteville. Born July 16, 1967 in
Bentonville, Arkansas to William Larry Rakes and Virginia
Louise Elmore.
John was truly one of a kind. He had a vivacious personality
and his laughter was infectious. Anyone who had the pleasure
of meeting him will attest to his kind heart and generous soul.
John's love for his friends and family was bar to none.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2011 and his
grandparents.
John is survived by his mother, Virginia Elmore of
Fayetteville; his sister, Kelli Collins of Fayetteville; two
nieces, Hillary Easley & Isabel Collins, one nephew, Cody
Collins and many wonderful friends.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

The Reverend Jimmie D. Thames

The Rev. Jimmie D. Thames, 84, claimed the Resurrection on Monday, April 6,
2015 in Fort Worth. He was born June 13, 1930 to Samuel Delano Thames and
Callie Josephine (Holcomb) Thames in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He had one brother, Troy Taylor Thames, as well as half brothers Steele, Orion,
Denzel, Cotton, Glover, and Dewey Thames, and one half-sister Celinda Jewel
Thames Mackechney.
Jimmie graduated from the College of the Ozarks (Clarksville, Arkansas) in 1953
and from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (Dubuque, Iowa) in
1956. He was an ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served
congregations in Gravette, Arkansas; Sallisaw, Oklahoma; Breckenridge, Texas;
Vernon, Texas; Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and Jacksonville, Arkansas. In retirement,
he continued to serve several congregations in Arkansas and Texas as an interim
pastor. Throughout his ministry he was always active in the life of the connectional
Church, serving on the Committee on Ministry in every Presbytery of which he
was a member.
He married
his college sweetheart, Laura Anne Self, and they had four children:
Taylor Alan, Richard Lee, Jeffery Donald, and Elizabeth Anne. They were married for 26 years until her death in 1979. After Laura’s death, he married
Ailene M.
Rushing. When he and Ailene retired, they lived in Pangburn, Rogers and
Bentonville, Arkansas. In 2014 they moved to Mirabella Assisted Living in Fort
Worth, Texas. Ailene and Jimmie were married
for 35 years until her death in
2014.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Callie Thames; all of his
siblings; and Laura Thames and Ailene Thames.
He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Thames Allcon and husband Cliff of
Benbrook, Texas, Lana Rushing Riley and husband Al of Rogers, Arkansas,
Larry Rushing and wife Lorraine of Helotes, Texas, Alan Thames and wife Judy of
Indianapolis, Indiana, Richard Thames of Springdale, Arkansas, Jeff Thames and
wife Angela of Springdale, Arkansas
And by his grandchildren, Jennnifer Rushing Mulero of New Braunfels, Texa,
Anna Thames Noel and husband Adam of Terre Haute, Indiana, Callie Thames of
Greenwood, Indiana, Jonathan Thames and wife Jessica of Maumelle, Arkansas,
Sarah Thames Kern and husband Bryan of Columbus, Ohio, Andrew Thames of
Conway, Arkansas, Laura and Hannah Allcon of Benbrook, Texas, John Saladino
and wife Erika of Newport Beach, California, Paul Saladino and wife Amanda of
Houston, Texas, Christopher Saladino of Cedar Park, Texas, Nicholas Riley and
wife Taylor of Giddings, Texas

A joint memorial service for both Jimmie D. Thames and Ailene M. Thames will be
held in Rogers, Arkansas on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Stockdale-Moody
Funeral Services Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friends of both are welcome to greet the
family beginning at 10:30 a.m.
