Donna Jean Weakley, 79, of Garfield, AR died
peacefully Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Bentonville, AR.
She was born September 4, 1935 in Walhalla, North
Dakota to George and Edna Laidlaw.
She married
Dave Weakley in 1964 in Napa, California
where they owned The Valley Bible Book and Music
Store. In 1977 Dave and Donna moved to Springdale, AR
where they opened the Homes and Land Real Estate
magazine and both worked at Washington Regional
Hospital. After retiring in 1993, they moved to Holiday
Island and enjoyed boating, RV’ing with Good Sam RV
Club and eventually moved to Garfield, AR.
Donna was a dedicated and generous individual who
loved painting and loved her family. She was passionate
about the Lord and spending time with her children and
grandchildren. She was kind and soft-spoken, and always
had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no
matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved
ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with The
Lord. She was an active and dedicated member of the
Assembly of God Church and while living in Garfield
joined the Lost Bridge Community Church.
Donna is survived by her husband of 50 years, Darvin
(Dave); sister, Doris Owen of California and children,
James D. Weakley, Joanne Ramirez and husband, Ernie,
Cheryl Ann Borgo, all of California and John D. Weakley
and wife, Kris of Bentonville, AR; numerous
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 8,
2015 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers.
Burial will be at a later date at the National cemetery in
Fayetteville, AR.

Arthur C. Wilichowski

Arthur C. Wilichowski, 83, of Rogers, AR passed away July 28, 2015 in
Springdale, AR surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 8, 1932 in
Marathon, WI to Frank and Lucy Koppa Wilichowski.
Art proudly served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War.
He married
his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Lang, in 1950 and moved to
Rogers, AR in 1962.
Art was employed by Zero Mountain, Inc. for 46 years.
Art enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Church, which he was a member
of for 54 years, and Meals on Wheel. He was also an avid gardener and loved
spending time with family.
Art is survived by three daughters, Laurie Eoff and husband, Kevin, Doreen Dill,
and Sharon Pitt: two sons, Craig Wilichowski and wife, Deanna, Kent
Wilichowski and wife, Kim; ten grandchildren, Sarah Eoff, Mary Eoff, Brandon
Dill, Jeremy Dill, Tawnya Pitt, Heather Wilichowski, Cody Wilichowski, Kaitlyn
Wilichowski, Kendra Wilichowski and Kyle Wilichowski; two
great-grandchildren, Asher Dill and Ella Dill; four sisters, Vergie Mroczenski,
Christine Martin, Betty Karlen, and Sister Laverne Wilichowski; and one brother,
Ruffin Wilichowski.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at
Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers with the Rosary being prayed at
5:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 31, 2015 at
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David LeSieur
officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul cemetery.

Ferold Gene Arend
July 18, 1925 - October 9, 2015

Ferold Gene Arend, 90, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away, Friday, October
9, 2015 in Bentonville. He was born July 18, 1925 in Fairbury, Nebraska to
Henry and Alice Pearston Arend.
He served in the United States Navy as a Signalman on the USS Deuel in the
Pacific Theatre during WWII.
He married
M. Jane Courmier, on June 19, 1951. He began his retail career at
Hested’s 5&10 in Kansas and Nebraska. He was Vice President of J.J.Newberry
Corp. when he accepted Sam Walton’s invitation to come to Bentonville in 1966.
History was made with his part in establishing Walmart Stores, Inc. by serving as
Walmart’s first corporate president and chief operating officer. He retired as vice
chairman of the board of directors in 1984.
Ferold was very supportive in the growth and development of the city of
Bentonville. He helped in the financing of the original Bentonville Parking
Districts and also provided the seed money for the initial renovation and
revitalization of the Downtown Square.
Ferold and Jane were one of the founders in the effort to save the Peel Mansion.
Over the years they continued to support its mission to preserve the history of
our area.
Education and the arts played an important part in his philanthropy. When
approached by the school district to build an arts center, Arend recognized the
need which resulted in the Arend Arts Center at Bentonville High School where
over one million people have enjoyed performances. He also established the
Arend Family Community Center in his home town, of Fairbury, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jane Arend in 2010; his
parents; one brother, Wendell Arend and one sister, Lois B. Kapke.
Ferold is survived by one daughter, Debi Havner and husband, Galen of
Bentonville; three sons, Curtis Arend and wife, Theresa of Rogers, Scott
Arend of Rogers, Mike Arend and wife, Tami of Garfield; three grandchildren,
Alice Jane Havner, William Henry Arend, Cineca Spring Keck; one great
grandchild, Lennon Keck, and two bonus grandchildren, Victoria and Vincent
Vitali.
Private services will be held.

Larry James Conduff

Larry James Conduff, 66, died July 15, 2015 in Rogers, AR.
He was born to Richard and Wilma Conduff, May 31, 1949 in
Prairie Grove, AR. He proudly served in the United States Air
Force. Later he worked as a mechanic in his own automotive
repair shop. His hobbies included building and working on
race cars, he also had a great love for music and was an
accomplished guitar player.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Conduff and Steven
Conduff; his mother, Wilma Harris of Rogers, and two
brothers, Marshall Conduff and Jeff Conduff.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 22,
2015, at the National cemetery in Fayetteville with military
honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor
Guard.
Otis H. Hall

Otis H Hall, 77, formally of Cedar Hill, Texas, left this
earth to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday,
December 8, 2015 in Bentonville, AR after a courageous
battle with cancer.
He was a successful, hardworking entrepreneur,
establishing and partnering in several grocery brokerage
companies throughout his long career in the Dallas-Ft.
Worth area. Prior to retiring from Crossmark in 2001, he
was President of Hall-Tisdale, Inc.
Otis (also known as Sonny) loved to hunt, play golf, work
at the State Fair of Texas alongside his sister, Carolyn,
carrying on a legacy which was started by his mother
and sharing old stories with his friends over a cup of
coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Homer and
Beulah of Ft. Worth and son, Otis Ray Hall.
Otis is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joan D’Amato
Hall, formerly of Torrington, CT. Son, Clay and wife,
Lorri of Rogers; Daughter, Belinda Williams and
husband, Donnie of Granbury, TX; sister, Carolyn
McKee and husband, Jim of Cedar Hill; seven
Grandchildren: Christina Nelson and husband Bradley,
Amanda, Ashley and Cody Hall, Jake and Dakota Baker,
Tres Teschke, Cousin Laura and his beloved dog, Addie.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 pm Saturday, January
2, 2016 at Good Shepherd Church, 915Old Straus Road
in Cedar Hill, TX.

Stacey Hernandez, 21, of Rogers, passed away April 7,
2015. She was born June 8, 1993 in Rogers, AR to Jose
Hernandez and Mary Anne Williams Hoover.
Stacey was known for her loving and caring heart. She
enjoyed being around friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her uncle, Carl Williams.
Her great-grandmother, Gladys Williams, passed away April 14, 2015.
Stacey is survived by her beautiful boy, Braeden Anthony
Adams; her mother, Mary; her father, Jose; four sisters,
Kaetny Hernandez, Joana Hernandez, Natasha Boen and
Savannah Boen all of Rogers AR; one brother, Carlos
Hernandez of Rogers AR; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April
19, 2015 at New Hope Assembly of God, 6262 New Hope
Road in Rogers.

Herbert Mackyeal Horsley, 77, of Bentonville, Ark. passed
away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Circle of Life Legacy
Village. He was born February 26, 1937 in Leachville, Ark.
to Herbert Lee and Launda Rose Hodge Horsley.
He loved his family dearly.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Herbert faithfully attended New Hope Assembly of God in
Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother,
Jimmy Horsley.
Herbert is survived by his wife Ella Mae; two sons, David
Rickey and wife, Sheila and Herbert Horsley and wife
Donna; two daughters, Debbie Wilson and husband, John
and Shena Cabrera and husband Ronell; 10 grandchildren;
10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Horsley and
Benny Horsley; four sisters, Drusilla Rofkahr, Pasty Drury,
LaWanda Downs, and Etheleen Reed and
many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday,
January 10, 2015 at New Hope Assembly of God in
Rogers, 2626 W. New Hope Rd, Rogers, AR 72756.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January
12, 2015 at New Hope Assembly of God with Pastor James
Longmate officiating. Burial will be at Fayetteville
National cemetery.
