Dana Kay Weir, 60 of Cabot, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.
She was born on Aug.t 19, 1946 to the late Guy and Lonalea Traver Lawrence in Little Rock.
Dana is a member of Grace Community Church in Cabot and the Order of Eastern Star.
She is a 1964 graduate of Central High School.
Dana was a medical practice manager for 40 years and retired from Central Arkansas Hospital in December of 2002.
She was involved in youth sports for 42 years.
In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by her aunt, Erma Lawrence.
She is survived by her husband, Jack M. Weir Sr. of Cabot; three children, Jack M. Weir Jr. and his wife Kathi, Bradley S. Weir and his wife Melanye, and Derek T. Weir and his wife Connie all of Cabot; one brother, Richard L. Lawrence of Cabot; and 10 grandchildren, J.C. Wilson, Jack M. Weir III, Devin Weir, Morgan E. Weir, Kyle Wilson, Alison P. Weir, Christian S. Weir, Austin Benton, Conner Chance, and Madison K. Weir.
The funeral service was Thursday at the chapel of Cabot Funeral Home with Dr. Del Medlin officiating.
Interment followed at Mountain Springs cemetery in Cabot.
Merle Smith
Merle N. Smith, 77, of Ward, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006.
She was born on Dec. 21, 1928 in Monette, Arkansas to the late Walter Roy and Mattie May Cowans Copeland.
While her children were in school, Merle was a member of PTA in Chicago.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Brinkley; and her first husband, Harvey Brinkley.
Merle is survived by her husband, Jesse Smith; two daughters, Linda Byrnes and her husband George of Cabot and Brenda Allison and her husband Calvin of El Paso, Arkansas; two sons, Harvey Brinkley III of Ward and Steve Brinkley of Ward; three sisters, Pauline Coker of Cudahy, California, Betty Peterson of Lexington, Tennessee, and Imogene Sipes of Dwight, Illinois; six grandchildren, Ronald Bolin, Billy Bolin, Blake Allison, Kayla Allison, Angie Brinkley, and Cantrell Brinkley; and four great grandchildren.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at Cabot Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service was Saturday at the chapel of Cabot Funeral Home.
Benjamin Franklin Bastian, II, 84, of Cabot died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006.
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta M. Bastian, and his first wife Margaret Garverick Bastian; sister Ellen Bastian Bressler; and step-daughter Sandra Baldwin.
Survivors include his children Susan McGirr and husband Michael, Benjamin Franklin Bastian III and wife Dawn, Cathy Bastian, and son-in-law David Baldwin of Cabot; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Geraldine Cox
Geraldine Sentell Cox of Ward, Arkansas, passed away Nov. 4, 2006, in her home following months battling a series of strokes.
Geraldine, age 78, was preceded in death in 1997 by her husband of 52 years, John E Cox.
Both were life long residents of Ward. Geraldine and her husband were retired dairy farmers, cattle farmers, business owners, business operators and business investors.
Together they owned and operated the John Cox Roller Rink of Ward/Jacksonville from 1951 to 1962.
John Cox Farms remains in operation today.
Geraldine was preceded in death by a baby daughter, her mother Hettie Sentell of Ward, her father Allie (Ruth) Sentell of Ward, a sister, Allie Mae Sentell (Dewitt) Freeling of Jacksonville, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Frankie John and wife Pat Cox of Ward, her daughter Francis Jean Cox and husband Joe Stocks of the residence, five grandchildren, Christopher Bradley (Trish) Cox of Cabot, Veronica Glover of Ward, Frankie Patrick (Esther) Cox of Ward, April (Dan) Devore of Ward, Kim (Allan) Sol Cruz of Dallas, Texas, six great grandchildren, Kayla, Hayley, Taylor, Ashley, Brooke and Alyssa.
Geraldine is also survived by two brothers, James and Clara Sentell of Beebe, Donald and Pat House of North Little Rock, a sister, Darlene Sentell and The Reverend Paul Graves of Sherwood, sisters-in-law, Mrs. Bernard Cox of Royal Oak, Michigan, Mrs. Lloyd Cox of Mobile, Alabama, Geraldine Cox and Jim Morris of Ward and 8 nieces and 16 nephews.
Geraldine was an active member of the Ward United Methodist Church and the Auxillary of The Gideons International, Cabot Camp since 1980.

A 'thank you' is extended to Miss Sue for private home health care assistance during her latter months, and in the early months another special 'thank you' to Physical Therapist, Donna and David with the White County Home Health, the Physical Therapy staff of the Reliance Rehabilitation Center in Beebe and McAfee Medical Clinic in Beebe.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Ward United Methodist Church with The Reverend Wes Howard and the Reverend Paul Graves officiating and musical arrangements by Mrs. Paul Graves.
Burial will be in Sixteenth Section cemetery in Lonoke County.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Russell, Richard Bradshaw, Ronald Gross, Wayne Guess, Jim Martin and Mayes Scott.
Honorary Pallbearer will be The Gideons International.
Constance Couch
Constance M. (Cunningham) Couch, 74, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Will R. Couch; three daughters; two step children; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 5, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke.
Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Edgar Haynes, Jr.
Edgar Andrew Haynes, Jr., 66, of Rison died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006.
He was a member of the Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church, a salesman for Hal Murray, Inc., and a member of Jordan Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar Andrew Haynes, Sr., and Clara Bell Bryant Haynes; and sisters Pearlie Mae Hardin and Alberta Haynes Ward.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Haynes of Rison; sons Mike Haynes of Dallas, Texas, and Chad Haynes of Royal; daughter Tena Hauk of Carlisle; brothers Jerry of Pine Bluff, Clay of Houston, Texas, and Roger Haynes of Ruston, La.; and sisters Evelyn Blevens of Dumas, Bonnie Hill of Winchester, and Shirley Watson of Dumas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Hopedale Missionary Baptist Church, followed by burial in Hopedale cemetery.

Raymond Lovett
Raymond Lovett, 72, of Ward died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006.
He was a retired construction worker and an U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence McKinley and Mamie Cook Lovett; brother Clarence; and granddaughter Angel Marie Judd.
He is survived by his wife Carol Lovett of Ward; sons Michael Lovett of Ward, Raymond Mark Lovett and Clarence J. Lovett both of Searcy; daughters Kathleen Burge of North Little Rock and Flora Gretchen Judd of Ward; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and sisters Mary Horne of Little Rock and Virginia Jones of Bald Knob.
A graveside service was held Thursday, Oct. 19, at Mt. Springs cemetery.

Maynard Walton
Maynard Hanson Walton, 83, of Little Rock died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006.
He was a retired Engineering Manager with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
preceded in death by his parents Maynard Nicholas Hanson, Jr., and Mary Eddith Catherina; stepfather Charles Walton; and sisters Dorothy Flanagan and Mary Frances Girard.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Florence Ruth Gocio Walton of Little Rock; sons Barry B. Walton and wife Carol of Knoxville, Tenn., Maynard H. Walton Jr. of New Orleans, La., Joseph M. Walton of Cabot, Kenneth A. Walton and wife Deletta of Alexander, and Martin N. Walton of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Oct. 19, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Arrangements were by Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock.
Donald Raborn
Donald Raborn, 64, of Little Rock, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006.
He was a member of the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ, Ironspring Lodge, Mason’s, and the former President of Arch St. Youth Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Olive Raborn, and brothers Dale and Carl Raborn.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Wolfe Raborn; sons Wayne and wife Karen, Joseph and wife Wendy and Phillip Raborn and wife Tammy; six grandchildren; sisters Linda Cochran of Little Rock, Doris Bradley of North Little Rock, Faye Merice of Sherwood, and Rachel Smart of San Jose, Calif.; and brothers Clifford of Carlisle, and Bruce Ray Raborn of Hattiesburg, Miss.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Sandstone Drive Church of Christ.
