Ruth Helen Spearman, 76, of Greenwood, Ark. died Saturday, January 3, 2004, in her home. She was retired from Baldor Electric.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Stroud cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Survivors include her husband, Alburnard "Lucky" Spearman; four daughters, Shirley Strozier of Greenwood, Ark., Barbara Pittman of Hackett, Ark.; Helen Morgan of Lakeland, Fla., Donita Brockel of Cabot, Ark.; one son, Carl Spearman of Hackett, Ark.; two sisters, Dorothy Cook of Santa Maria, Calif., Jackie Mitchell of Rio Linda, Calif.; five brothers, R.L. Kuykendall of Jacksonville, N.C.; Everett Kuykendall of Chandler, Texas, Floyd "Sonny" Kuykendall of Altus, Okla., Bobby Kuykendall of Frederick, Okla., Roy Kuykendall of Denton, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ron Sutton, Bill Strozier, Jim Strozier, Otis Strozier, Dana Pittman, and Dennie Manes.
Patrick W. Cox "P.C."
Patrick W. Cox "P.C.", 18 of Fort Smith died Thursday, January 29, 2004, in his home. He was a member of the Senior Class at Greenwood High School, and was a member of the Greenwood FFA where he was the chapter vice president, Outstanding FFA Senior, was awarded the Most Spirited Award, Greenhand degree, Chapter Farmer degree, State Farmer degree, and second place introduction to AgriScience and Technology. He also participated in the Electricity Career Development event, Meats Career Development event, the National FFA convention, Officer Retreat, Skeet Shoot, Plant Sale, FFA Kick-off Bon Fire, Golf Tournament, and built cabinets for the Agri Department.
Funeral were February 4, 2004, at the Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his parents, Debbie and Don Cox of the home; paternal grandmother, Ruby Cox of Ozark; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Frances Wright of Ozark; and preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence Cox.
Pallbearers were Nick Cozort, Justin King, Nolan Bartow, Mark Weisenfeld, R.J. Whitworth, Cody Faber, Trey Stephens and Dustin Patrick. Honorary pallbearers were Greenwood Senior Class and the FFA members.

Berniece Oliver
Berniece Oliver, 88, of Greenwood, Ark. died Wednesday, February 4, 2004, in Bentonville, Ark. She was retired from the Sebastian County Tax Collector's Office, past president of the Greenwood PTA, a member of the Greenwood Garden Club and a life long Baptist. She was the widow of Frella Oliver.
Funeral services were February 6, 2004, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel of Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Liberty cemetery in Greenwood, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Oliver of Greenwood, Ark., Les Oliver of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Jack Beam of Greenwood, Ark.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Wanda Sue Hanes, 65, of Sugarloaf Lake, Ark. died Monday, February 6, 2004, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Mount Olive cemetery in Midland, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Hanes of the home; five daughters, Teresa Dumas of Duchesne, Utah, Vonda Rucker of Houston, Texas, Genene Weilbert of Fort Smith, Ark., Gina Grant of Spiro, Okla. and Shelly Hensley of Sugarloaf Lake, Ark.; one sister, Billie Kent of Pocola, Okla.; one brother Jerry Johnson of Muldrow, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Inge McKinney, 72, of Van Buren died Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in her home. She was homemaker and attended Rose Garden Full Gospel Church in Jenny Lind.
Funeral services were February 5, 2004, at Rose Garden Full Gospel Church in Jenny Lind with burial at Cross cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnel Funeral Home in Greenwood.
She is survived by one son, Glen Cain and wife Lisa of Fort Smith; mother, Cecial Inge of Barling; two brothers, Henry Inge of Mulberry and Marvin Inge of Greenwood; four sisters, Dorothy Hicks of Barling, Naomi Taylor of Lavaca, Inita Chronister of Barling, and Donna Cole of Lavaca and two grandchildren, Alex and Ravin. She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Inge.
Carl McCoy (Deschamp)
Carl McCoy (Deschamp), 89 of Midland, Ark. passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired coal miner and attended the midland Assembly of God Church and the Tyro Community Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Barnes McCoy, the mother of his nine children; and wife Pearlie McCoy; his oldest daughter, Caroln Ann McCoy and his youngest son Carl McCoy, Jr.
Funeral services were February 7, 2004, at Midland Assembly of God Church with burial at Huntington cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry McCoy of Fort Smith and Farriel McCoy of Midland; five daughters, Sue McAlister, Loretta Sanders and Gretchen Bascue all of Midland and Kay Brewer and Marie Crandell of Mulberry; nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; several step-children and step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Daniel Brewer, Earl Ray Brewer, Patrick Brewer, Sam Bascue, Matt Bascue and David Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Andy McCoy and Nathan Brewer.
Robert I. "Tick" Razloznik
Robert I. Razloznik, 68, passed away on January 22, 2004. A longtime resident of El Paso, Mr. Razloznik was a retired Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Cecil Razloznik and survived by his sister-in-law, Josephine Razloznik.
Delbert Ray Turner
Delbert Ray Turner, 59, of Fort Smith, Ark. died Friday, February 6, 2004, in a nursing home. He was a retired furniture upholsterer and of the Baptist Faith.
Funeral services were February 9, 2004, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Dayton cemetery in Dayton, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sisters, Natalie Holley of Fort Smith, Ark. and Gloria Helm of Rogers, Ark.; five brothers, Bill Turner of Fort Smith, Ark., Gary Turner of Garland, Texas, Damon Turner of Greenwood, Wayne Turner of Huntington, and Hoyt Turner of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were family members.
Frederick Hop, 82, of Greenwood, Ark. passed away, Saturday, February 7, 2004, in his home. Mr. Hop was an educator and the published author of Residential Construction and Design. He was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, where he was an active choir member with a lifetime involvement in music and choral programs. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Rifle Association, the National Education Association, the Michigan Education Association and the Arkansas Education Association. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a member of the corp of engineers.
Mr. Hop obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Coe College in Iowa and then earned a Masters degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University and an additional Masters degree in Industrial Arts from Colorado State University.
His career as an educator included being a junior high teacher and principal, vocational education teacher and director of vocational education. He then concluded his educational career as an instructor in residential construction and design at Westark College in Fort Smith.
Funeral services for Mr. Hop were February 10, 2004, at the Greenwood United Methodist Church with interment at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Pallbearers were Jim St. Amant, Bob Thomas, H.B. Stewart, Bob Turner, Dick Bryant, and Dick Quinlan. Honorary pallbearers were members of the church choir.
He is survived by his wife Leila of the home; two sons, Kevin Hop and his wife, Cynthia, of Owasso, Okla. and John Hop and his wife, Carol, of Madison, Ala.; two daughters, Kimberly Abernathy and her husband, Wesley of Jonesboro, Ark. and Kathleen Albers and her husband, Dr. James Albers of Temple, Texas; eight-grandchildren, Lauren Brian, Alison, Kristen, and Haley Hop, Hannah and Rebecca Albers, and Olivia Rose Abernathy; and Janet Hop, mother of Lauren and Brian.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charitable organization of choice in his name.

M.E. "Bud" Spearman, 88, of Greenwood, Ark. died Friday, February 6, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and a member of the Williams Freewill Baptist Church in Williams, Okla.
Funeral services were February 9, 2004, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at Stroud cemetery in Greenwood, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Spearman of the home; one daughter, Lynda King of Greenwood; three sons, Jack Spearman of Charleston, W. Va., Jess Spearman and Kenneth Spearman both of Greenwood; three sisters, Erma Plunkett, Louise Lewis and Dorothy Dyer all of Greenwood; two brothers, Marvin Spearman and Earnest Eugene Spearman both of Greenwood; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ada Roose
Ada Roose, 89, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Witcherville, Ark. passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was retired from Riverside Furniture and a member of West-Ark Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husbands, Claude Hart and Harlan Roose.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Hart of Fort Smith.
Graveside services were April 2, 2004 at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Dessie Jane Coley
Dessie Jane Coley with home to be with the Lord March 30, 2004, at the age of 86. She was born May 16, 1917 in Witcherville, Ark. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Steel and Wire.
She was the widow of Charlie Coley and was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Clark and two sons, Gene and Sidney Coley.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Croft of Greenwood, Ark. and Kay Waggoner and son-in-law, Daniel Waggoner of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Shirley Coley Fairfield of Alma; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Fullen, Lisa Starr, Jennifer Jennen, Gary and Jeff Coley, Steve and Mike Fairfield and Dee Ann Harris and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were April 2, 2004, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Coop Prairie cemetery in Mansfield.

Thomas Austin Warren
Thomas Austin Warren, 67, of Mansfield, Ark. died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a retired welder, a Baptist and a Viet Nam Veteran. He was preceded in death by three sons, Bonnie Warren, Billy Warren and Thomas Ray Warren.

Jessie G. Sorrels, 98, of Greenwood, Ark. died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in Greenwood, Ark. She was a homemaker, a member of the Dayton Church of Christ in Dayton, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Sorrels.
