Mary Stout
Mrs. Mary Stout, 72 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Saturday, December 18th in her home. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Oak Grove Old Time Country Church. Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by a daughter; Janice Chambers and a grandson; Vincent Chambers.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 21st at Gill cemetery in Van Buren with interment to follow at Gill cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband Bill, of the home, a daughter Betty Turner of Rudy, Arkansas, a sister Cris Optz of Van Buren, three grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Opal Pigg
Opal B. Pigg, 89, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Baptist Church where she served for over 50 years as a Sunday School Teacher for the Children's Department. She was preceded in death by husband, Cecil W. Pigg.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Estes of Fort Smith; sons, James Pigg of Van Buren and Roy Pigg of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John and Larry Horn, Rob and Rhett Pigg, Rick Estes and David Bernard.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 3619 North 6th, Fort Smith, AR 72904

Warren Townsend
Warren Gene Townsend, 74, died January 1, 2005 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center , Fort Smith, AR. He is survived by a neice, Barb McCaw of Omaha, Nebraska.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Forest Park cemetery, Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Ruth Maas
Ruth I. Maas, 74, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 in Fort Smith. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Altar Society, Presentation Circle, Quilters Guild and a volunteer for St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. She was retired owner and operator of Carousel Flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maas.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Maas of Dallas; sons, Gary Maas of Madison, Indiana and Dr. Robert Maas of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Melba Schultheis of Fort Branch, Indiana, Kleo Selby-Beasley of Claremont, Florida and Dorothy Addy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother, Norman Rexing of Mooresville, Indiana; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; five step great grandchildren.
Rosary will be said 7:00 PM Sunday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church with interment to follow in the National cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Tran, Claude Eubanks, Bud Cooksie, Lou Fellwock, Mike Heathcott and Nelson Wakefield.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Danny Reed
Danny Reed, 50, of Van Buren died Monday, December 20, 2004 in a local hospital.
He is survived by a daughter, Kelley Sanders of Alma; his parents, Ruby and Elmer Reed of Van Buren; two sisters, Patsy Christian of Dora, OK, Joyce Reed of Oklahoma City, OK; four brothers, Elmer Reed, Jr. and William Reed both of Fort Smith, James Reed of Little Rock, Tony Reed of Union, MO; two grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Fairview cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Edith Jameson
Edith Elaine Jameson, 98, of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 in Van Buren. She was born November 6, 1906 at Cavanaugh, the second of ten children born to Roy and Nell Vanderburg Van Cleave. Much of her youth was spent in the Ursula Community, near Charleston. She was a long time member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and of the Jolly Travelers, senior adult group.
She is survived by a son Clifton and his wife Wilma Jameson of Van Buren, one daughter Cleta and her husband Bill Terrell of Hackett; six grandchildren, Rob and Della Jameson, Lynne and Roger Graham of Van Buren, Elaine Terrell of Prairie Grove, John Terrell and Mary Terrell of Fort Smith and Sarah and Burt Stover of Pocola, OK; six great-grandchildren, Chandler, Clay and Cassidy Graham of Van Buren, Charity Jameson of Greenwood, and Jared and Jack Stover of Pocola. Two sisters, Irma Inklebarger of Barling and Wanda Tollenaar of Clyde, Alberta, Canada, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Jameson, her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 24th 2004 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Roselawn cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Grand Avenue Baptist Church 39th and Grand Ave. Fort Smith, AR 72904
The family will gather at Edwards on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM to greet friends.

Lorraine Osborne
Mrs. Lorraine Osborne, 80, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Sunday, December 26, 2004 in a local nursing home. She was a retired machine operator at T.J. Smith Box Company in Fort Smith, a member of the Catcher Freewill Baptist Church, and a homemaker. Her husband Steward Osborne preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Three sisters survive her; Wanda Sallee, Lenice Gordon-Thompson, and Lavona Kendrick, all of Van Buren. She is also survived by one brother; Lawrence Crawford of Van Buren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.

Billy Ray Jones
Billy Ray Jones, 67, of Van Buren, died Monday January 3, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a retired warehouse manager for Ayers Furniture Company and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; five daughters, Misty Jones of the home, Melody Mackey of Van Buren, Barbie Langley of Muskogee, OK, Mary Penny of Kibler, Becky Brown of Muskogee, OK; five sons, Mike Jones of Cedarville, David Jones of Van Buren, Ronnie Jones of Great Falls, Montana, Donny Jones of Cedarville, Alvis Gregory, JR. of Portland, Maine; two sisters, Velma Hicks and Wilma Bork both of Fort Smith; one brother, Charles Jones of Lancaster, CA; twenty-two grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be members of his family.

Charlene Manckiy
Charlene Manckiy, 78, of Greenwood, Arkansas died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband George Manckiy.
Survivors include one daughter Pam Manckiy of Pocola, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law; Johnnie and Jessie Manckiy, Sr. of Greenwood, Arkansas; a grandson Johnnie Manckiy, Jr. a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Serena and Reed Adams and a great granddaughter Aliyah Adams all of Greenwood; one sister Ruby McLemore of Booneville, Arkansas.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2005 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the National cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m at Edwards Funeral Home.

Alta Muzingo
Mrs. Alta M. Muzingo of Fort Smith, AR passed away at Sparks Regional Medical Center at the age of 73. She was a retired office manager for Children Ease Management, LLC. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Fort Smith, AR.
Service will 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Oak cemetery with Reverend Richard Maness officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert and Ryan Keck, Jason and Cory Nietzke, Ron Glenn and Tom Back.
Alta is survived by her companion of 20 years, Roland Newton, 4 daughters, Donna Black of Hinesville, Georgia, Dianne Addison of Ukiah, California, Denise Trewin of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Patricia Nietzke also of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and by 1 son, Charles Curtis of Emmett, Idaho, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Donald Blunier
Donald Eugene Blunier, 74, formerly of Eau Claire, Michigan died December 28th 2004 in Fort Smith, AR. He was a retired 7-Eleven Clerk and former owner of Safety Racing Equipment. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Blunier of Mishawaka, IN; Bruce Blunier of Coloma, MI; and Brett Blunier of Eau Claire, MI; two daughters, Teresa Babb of Fort Smith, AR; and Bethany Nunes of Sallisaw, OK; one brother Ken Blunier of Granger, IN; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Private Interment will be in the U.S. National cemetery of Fort Smith, AR on January 21st. The body will be cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Frances Yeager
Frances "Nanny" Yeager, 86, of Van Buren, died Sunday, January 2, 2005 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren and was active in Sunday School Class. Frances also did volunteer work for City Heights Elementary School. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn "Kakie" Deffenbaugh of Van Buren; two sons, Ernie Yeager of Jasper, Ed Yeager of Van Buren; two sisters, Sophie Crawford of Springdale, Polly Davis of Great Falls, Montana; six grandchildren, Deborah Clark, Karen Windsor both of Fort Smith, April Simmons of Van Buren, Matthew Deffenbaugh of Farmington, Ernie Yeager, III and Charles Yeager both of Jasper; and six great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William Earnest "Boog" Yeager.
Funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Ron Reading, Dan Deffenbaugh, Gordon Mutters, John Riggs, Rick Spoon, and H.A. Gray.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Clay Breeden, Don Mendenhall, Larry and Steve Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Aline Bieker
Aline E. Bieker, 87, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away January 1, 2005 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She had a heart of gold and was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and was loved by everyone she touched including her extended family of the last year and a half at Medi Home Nursing home.
She was a very strong lady. Whenever asked, even in great pain, her answer was always "fine". She loved being surrounded by family and friends, going to church and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband Otto Bieker, parents: Lewis and Mary Schweppenstedde, son: Robert "Bob" Bieker, two sisters: Ann Gean and Regina Lindner and one daughter-in-law, Carla Bieker.
Rosary Service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m.Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters: Cecillia "Toots" and her husband James Young of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Janice "Jan" and her husband Moody Ramey of Fort Smith; six sons: Patrick and his wife Joan Bieker of Augusta, Georgia; Rodney and his wife Evie Bieker of Fort Smith, Charlie and his wife Jane Bieker of Fort Smith; Joe Bieker of Fort Smith; Johnny and his wife Anne Bieker of Pocola, Oklahoma; Richard and Josephine Bieker of Huntington, Arkansas; Daughter-in-law: Marcy Bieker of Fort Smith; two sisters: Dorothy "Dora" Bieker of Pueblo, Colorado; Lucille Rinke of Wichita, Kansas; Brother-in-law: John Bieker and wife Marie of O'Fallon, Missouri; Sister-in-law: Ann Sparks and Cecilia Carpentiere of Fort Smith; and Alice Schiebel of O'Fallon, Illinois; Twenty five grandchildren; forty six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two special friends Rita Shopfner and Kaye Adams, many nieces, nephews and other relative's and friend's.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Raymond Bieker, Rob Bieker, Michael Bieker, Brent Bieker, Tommy Bieker, Allen Young, and Paark Wolfe.
Honorary pallbearers will be all grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Boniface Catholic School or Church 1820 North "B" Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
