William "Bill" Wiginton
In loving memory of our dad, husband, and Bop-Bop, William "Bill" Wiginton, 64, of Fort Smith died Sunday, February 13, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a loving and caring man to all who knew him and will be greatly missed but will be forever in our hearts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a retired Electrician, and of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wiginton, Jr and his grandmother, Laura Holt.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Bobby of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Danny Ludwick of Van Buren, AR; two daughter-in-laws, Debbie and Lori Wiginton, both of Van Buren, AR; a son, Bobby Wiginton, of Fort Smith, AR; his mother, Mary Little of Fayetteville, NC; his mother and father-in-law, Mickey and Jim Loveall of Van Buren, AR; two sisters, Betty Smith of Fayetteville, NC and Kathy Coon of Myrtle Beach, NC; two brothers, Wayne Johnson of Fayetteville, NC, and Andrew Johnson of Gainesville, FL; two brother and sister-in-laws, James and Margaret Bennett of San Diego, CA, Doug and Wilma Reid of Van Buren, AR; and six grandchildren, Kayse Ludwick, Rachel Wiginton, Joseph and Christian Ludwick, Billy and Michael Wiginton all of Van Buren, AR.
The Pallbearers will be Danny, Joseph, and Tony Ludwick, Billy and Michael Wiginton, and Billy Waters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956.

Martin Emmett Chapin
Martin E. Chapin, 76, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by two brothers Billy Jo and Bobby Charles Chapin.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at The U.S. National cemetery with full Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by one daughter: Jammie Spangler of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one sister: Marcella Robertson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one brother: Marvin Chapin of Lavaca, Arkansas; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Imogene Flurry
Imogene Flurry, 60, of Van Buren, died Monday, February 14th, 2005 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church of God in Fort Smith, and she loved to garden.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16th, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Woodlawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Jamie, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cindy Flurry of Van Buren, AR; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Pat and Roy Clifton of Gans, OK and Oleta and Leonard Hunter of Muldrow, OK; two brothers and sister-in-laws, J.C. and Helen Williams of Pocola, OK and Pete and Vera Goines of Van Buren, AR; and one grandson, Joey Flurry of Van Buren, AR.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956.

Rosoce D. Davis
Roscoe D. Davis, 88, of Fort Smith, died February 15th 2005 in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, and was a retired Salesman for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Mr. Davis was a trusted and loyal friend, and one who served as a father figure to many. He touched many people during his years with Goodyear and personally set many sales records with the company that have yet to be broken. He was a gentleman whose word meant everything to him. He was an avid fisherman and raised many fine tomato gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helen L. Davis of the Home, a step son David Thresher of Fort Smith; a sister Anna Stouffer of Fort Smith, two grandchildren David S. Thresher and Gwen Brooks, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, February 17th at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gracelawn cemetery of Van Buren all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tom Brock, Joey McCutchen, James Caldwell, Jeff Brooks, Erell Goines, and Buck Goines. Honorary Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday Evening from 6-8 PM.

J.D. Fant
J.D. Fant, born September 7, 1913 in Fort Smith, Arkansas died on February 14, 2005 in a local hospice of natural causes after a brief illness. He was a WWII veteran and a long time employee of Ward?s Furniture factory. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Trudie Marie Wilson Fant, his mother, Minnie Lee Rose Porch, his father Earnest Sylvester Fant, two step-fathers, a sister, a brother and several step-brothers.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2005 at The U.S. National cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by two sons: Earnest W. Fant and wife Georgie of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jimmy D. Fant and wife Jane of Roland, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tanya F. Berkley of the home; seven grandchildren: Jimmy Donald Fant, Jr., John Michael Fant, Laura Lea Hoisington, Patricia Jane Fant, Angela Howard, Melissa Archer, and Jennifer Black and twelve great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of ones choice.

William "Bill" Sugg
William "Bill" Sugg, 80, of Cedarville died Monday, February 14, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a retired owner/operator of ATEM, he served in WWII under the U.S. Army Air Corp, he was an avid fisherman, and a lake ranger in Bella Vista after his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Sugg; his parents, Gladys and Bill Sugg; and a grandson, Keith McHenry.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel. Mr. Sugg will be cremated and there will be no public viewing.
He is survived by three daughters, Kay Best of Shawnee, OK, Rev. Claudia Avery of Wichita, KS, and Linda McHenry of Cedarville, AR; one son, Mike Sugg of Norman, OK; one brother, Allen Sugg of Derby, KS; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary L. O'Mahony
Mary L. O'Mahony, 65, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in a local hospital. She attended Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Van Buren, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in The U.S. National cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband William, one son Bill Hampton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, two step-daughters Kathleen Harbottle of Hartford, Arkansas and Mary O'Mahony of Fort Smith, Arkansas, three step-sons Bill O'Mahony of Fort Smith, Arkansas , John O'Mahony of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Daniel O'Mahony of Greenwood, Arkansas, two sisters Betty Dunafan of Barling, Arkansas and Zona Burris of Central City, Arkansas, two granddaughters Whitney and Brooke Hampton both of Lavaca, Arkansas, eight step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening, February 16, 2005 from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.

Evelyn Hagans
Evelyn E. Hagans,89, of Fort Smith, passed away February 16, 2005 in Fort Smith. She was a retired Registered Nurse serving as the Nursery Supervisor for the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., a homemaker, a member of the Central Presbyterian Church where she served in the Ladies Circle. She was a project compassion volunteer and a member of the eastern star for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband Galen E. Meck who died in 1961. She married Daniel Steve Hagans in 1964 and lived in Killeen, Texas for 30 years. After the death of Mr. Hagans she moved to Fort Smith in 1979 and has been a resident until the death.
She is survived by her daughter Gail M. Newlin and her husband Ed of Fort Smith and a brother Gerald A. Rogers of Rapid City, S.D., two grandchildren, Susan Newlin and Chris Newlin and his Beth and two great grandchildren Kyle and Zackery Newlin.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19th, 2005 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial on February 22, 2005 in the Killeen Memorial Park, Killeen Texas under the direction of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home with local arrangements under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2005 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Helen J Suter
Helen J. Suter, 61, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, February 18, 2005 in Fort Smith. She was former waitress at Bollin?s Restaurant, and of Protestant faith.
Memorial Service will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons: Thomas W. Suter of Fort Smith and Ronnie Dale Suter and wife Robin of Fort Smith; two sisters; Sharon Rempert of Lake Du Flambeau, WI and Barbara Vitha of Woodruff, WI; four grandchildren: Thomas W. Suter, JR., Justin M. Suter, Kristi N. Suter and Lacy D. Suter all of Fort Smith.
Family will visit with friends following the memorial service at Edwards Funeral Home.

Mary Elizabeth Charles
Mary Elizabeth "Meb" Charles, 78, of Quittman, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 in Conway, Arkansas. She was a former administrative assistant for University of Arkansas at Fort Smith formerly Westark Community College.
She was preceded in death by her husband James T. "Jim" Charles and a son Lon Charles.
Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with cremain burial at Roselawn cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter Lee Vernon of Conway, Arkansas and two sons Jon Charles of Kempner, Texas and James Michael Charles of Quittman, Arkansas; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends following the memorial service.

Andrew Nathaniel Moates
Infant Andrew Nathaniel Moates of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Fort Smith.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Community Bible Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his parents John and Vanessa Moates of Fort Smith, Arkansas and two brothers James Kendrick Moates and Ethan Thomas Moates; Grandparents William Moates Sr. and Shirley of Fort Smith and Gary and Amelia Hamm of Fort Smith.
Memorials may be made to The Community Bible Church "Jam Ministry" 9201 South Dallas, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903.

Darrell Rantz
Darrell Rantz, 60, of Roland, passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 in Fort Smith. He was a retired car inspector for Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a Scout Leader, member of the Railroad Union and the Methodist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Rantz of Roland; daughter, Suzanne Rantz of Fort Smith; sons, Nathan and Kenny Rantz of Roland and Patrick Rantz of Boley, OK; sister, Carol Taylor of Elizabeth, AR; brother, Randall Rantz of Dunn, NC and one grandchild, Winton Rantz of Locus Grove, OK. And several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 21, 2005 in Edwards Funeral Home. Interment will be in Roland City cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
