Elsie Mae Reddell, 85, of Russellville, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at St. Mary's Regional Center.
She was born May 20, 1915, at Mr. Judea to Tom and Ella Guthrie Hefley. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Mitchel Reddell. She was a member of the Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 10 brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.
Survivors include five sons, Clinton Reddell of Dover, Clayton Reddell of Russellville, Wilburn Reddell of Monett, Mo., David Reddell of Russellville and James Reddell of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Julene Via of Dardanelle, and Mary Sue Allen of Charleston, Ark.; three step-sons, Argie and Silver Reddell of Russellville and Junior Reddell of Dover; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grrandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church officiated by the Rev. Lester Chisum and the Rev. Roy Chisum. Burial will be at McFadded cemetery at Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friendsWednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Barbara Reid
Barbara Ann Reid, 58, of Jerusalem died Wednesday, June 20, 2001.
She was born Sept. 17, 1942, in Griffin Flat, Ark., to the late William and Jessie Safley Duvall. She was employed by Tyson Foods. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, C.T. and Norman Duvall.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Reid of Flowermound, Texas; a grandson, Brandon Nahte of Flowermound; one sister, Gladys Archer of Wichita, Texas; two brothers, Oscar Duvall of Russellville and Bobby Duvall of Jerusalem; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 23 at Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial was at Robertsville cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were David Archer, Larry Duvall, Tom Briggs, Jason McGhee, and Joey Duvall. Honorary pallbearer was Earnest McGhee.
Rev. Hearley Reeves
Rev. Hearley O. Reeves, 87, of Atkins, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000.
He was born on July 6, 1913, in Cleveland, Ark. and was the son of the late Bill and Maggie Andrews Reeves. He was a retired minister and farmer. He was a member and former pastor of Pine Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theta Caroline Reeves, and a son, Edward Wayne Reeves.
Survivors include his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roy and Ruby Reeves of Atkins, Bill Reeves of Lindsay, Calif., and Bobby and Venita Reeves of Atkins; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Richard Rondinone of Morrilton and Betty and Jim Hosbach of Atkins; one brother, Bob Reeves of Crescent City, Calif.; one sister, Hazel Mosby of Orland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 22 at Lemley Funeral Service with the Rev. Terry Anthony officiating. Burial will be at Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rondinone, Henry Routh, Junior Reeves, Joshua Reeves, Randy Routh and Eddie Pennington.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21.
Mary Rhynes
Mary Texas Rhynes, 83, of Ashland, Miss., formerly of Dardanelle, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, Miss.
Rhynes was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Newton County, Ark. to the late Henry Monroe and Nora Hulstine Asher. She was a homemaker and mother, and a member of the Glory Bound Pentecostal Church in Dardanelle.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Farrell Bishop and Lee Rhynes; two sons, James Bishop and Thomas Bishop; and one daughter, Mittie J. Bishop.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Ray Bishop of Russellville, and Louie Monroe Bishop of Dover; one daughter, Gloria Taylor of Ashland, Miss.; two brothers, Ranyie Bishop and Turrell Bishop, both of Russellville; two sisters, Lola Schambra of Dover and Melscina Jackson of Russellville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchilren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
Services were held Sunday at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle, with Brother Bennie Sims, and the Rev. Joe Rhynes officiating. Interment was in Pisgah cemetery in Pottsville by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle.
Pallbearers were James and Farrell Bishop, Roger Cuningham, Ronnie Gray, Jessie and Jason Boze and Jimmy Taylor.
Brian Richter
Brian Steven Richter, 34, of Atkins died Sunday, April 8, 2001.
He was born June 23, 1966, in Russellville to Kurt and Kay Kinslow Richter. He was a member of the Palmetto Church and the Pottsville Volunteer Fire Department. He attended Mt. Vernon Free Will Baptist Church and was employed at Americold Logistics, Inc.
Other than his parents, survivors include his wife, Sonya Franks Richter; two sons and a daughter, Eric, Nicholaus, and Natalie; two sisters, Jessica Locke of Mc Kenzie, Tenn., and Robyn Casey of Russellville; maternal grandmother, Dortha Kinslow of Russellville; and maternal great-grandmother, Nona Kinder of Russellville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial was at Palmetto cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, Arkansas Affiliate Inc., P.O. Box 1610, Little Rock, AR 72203.
Pallbearers were Lance Bowden, Danny and David Darter, Christopher Richter, Dusty Locke, Durwin Sewell, Stephen Franks, and Linn Delassus. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Pottsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Lena Roberts
Lena E. Roberts, 76, of Dover, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, in Russellville. A daughter of the late Huey Donly and Vesta Jewel Evans Meadows, she was the widow of Leon Roberts, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons: Wayne and David Roberts, both of Dover; two daughters: Virginia Napier of Russellville; and Jeri Driggers of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; three sisters: Ann Motley of Russellville, Najuana Littlejohn of Marriana, Arizona, and Ruth Whitlock of Alma; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 11, at Bethel Cemetary with Brother Morris Reynolds officiating. Arrangements were by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Wheeler Robertson
Wheeler D. Robertson, 82, of Idalou, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
Born Dec. 3, 1917, at Pottsville, he married
Leota Teeter on Dec. 12, 1936, in Pottsville. He moved to Idalou in 1940. He was a farmer and rancher for many years. He served on the Idalou City Council for eight years. He was a director at Idalou Co-op Gin and Idalou State Bank. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of First Baptist Church of Idalou.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tommy and Charlie, both of Idalou; a daughter, Kay Ellen Phillips of Lubbock; two sisters, Ena Trauer of Plainview and Edna Moore of Idalou; three brothers, W.J. "Dub" of Hemphill, Paul of Cotton Center and Glen of Plainview; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 27, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Gray officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of White Funeral Home.
Claud Robinson
Claud D. Robinson, 78, of Pottsville died Sunday, June 18.
Born Oct. 13, 1921, at Atkins he was the son of the late Thomas and Della Jackson Robinson, a retired treatment technician at Russellville Water Company, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Ralph, Doyle and John Robinson; and two sisters, Ina Hardgraves and Mildred Goines.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Irene Robinson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce and Jim Kelley of Boys Ranch, N.M., and Nancy Qualls of Pottsville; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Keith and Chandra McNutt of Pottsville; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amanda and Victor Runnels of Russellville; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lemley Chapel by the Rev. Wayne Johnson. Burial will be in Atkins City cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers include Donald Roberds, Gary Pettit, Jimmy McClaren, Tommy Rudder, Steve Robinson, and Carrol Goines.
