Robert L. Wilson, 84, of Sandy Hook, Miss., formerly of Russellville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, Miss.
Born Sept. 4, 1915, at Pottsville, a son of the late William J. and Nancy Morphis Wilson, he was a retired dairy farmer, automobile salesman and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a former member of First Assembly of God in Russellville.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred L Wilson; two sons, Larry Joe Wilson of Texarkana, Ark., and Harry Lee Wilson of Sandy Hook; two daughters, Shirley Ann Hardesty of Okla., and Patty Sue Sampler of Russellville; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family members served as pallbearers.
Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 24, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. J.B. Rye officiating. Burial was at Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Lester Williams
Lester Lee Williams, 93, of Russellville, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born on Oct. 29, 1906, at Jerusalem, Ark. to George and Ellie Beavers Williams. He married
Lena Overton on Oct. 28, 1927 at Jerusalem. He was a retired custodian, having worked in the public schools in Wyoming and People's Bank in Russellville. He was a member of the West Side Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and one daughter,and by seven of his siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Williams of Russellville; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Barbara Williams of St. Joseph, Mo; a sister, Perlene Brents of Morrilton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service was held Monday, July 24, at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Mr. Dan Lightfoot and by Mr. Bruce Grice. Burial was at the Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the West Side Church of Christ, P.O. Jimmy Williamson
Jimmy Dean Williamson, 41, of Pottsville died Monday, July 24, 2000.
He was born Oct. 23, 1958, in Dover and was the son of Myrtle and the late Charles Williamson. He was a carpenter in the poultry industry.
Survivors include his wife, Althea Williamson of Pottsville; his daughter, Melissa Hutchison of Dardanelle; his mother, Myrtle Williamson of Atkins; three half-brothers, James R. Duvall of Atkins and Tommy and Ronnie Williamson of Dover; two sisters, Christine Harris and Mary Lou Hampton of Clarksville; two half-sisters, Carolyn Frady of Russellville and Marilyn Cemental of Hartman, Ark.; two grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren.
Grave side service and burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at North New Hope cemetery in Dover with the Rev. Kenneth Partain officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Scott Christenson, Jr., Eugene and Jeffery Spencer, Boyce Boyd, Rick Frady, and Paul Heflin.

Leonora Wilcox
Leonora Falls Wilcox, 89, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Saint Mary's Medical Center at Russellville.
Born June 11, 1911, at Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Sallie Evans Falls, and widow of the Rev. J. Clarence Wilcox. She was a member of P.E.O., First United Methodist Church, the Power Circle and Fellowship-Powers-Spars Sunday School Class of the church, and Partners In Ministry of the Fort Smith District of United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Thomas and Laura Lee Wilcox of Rogers; two brothers, the Rev. William Nale Falls of Little Rock and Thomas Bunn Falls of North Little Rock; two sisters, Hazel Hamaker of Pottsville and Patsy Barrett of Clarksville; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lowell Eaton. Burial will be in Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville by Hardwicke Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were Dylan Hawkins, Cleve Reasoner, Mike Falls, Max Falls, John Falls and J.J. Wilcox.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Fellowship-Powers-Spars Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at Hardwicke Funeral Service.
Vida Sue Whitney
Vida Sue Whitney, 75, died on Nov. 15, 2000, at the Enloe Hospital in Chico, Calif.
She was a resident of Corning, Calif. for 11 years. Vida was born in Pottsville on Jan. 8, 1925, to Jonah and Rhoda Williams.
She married
Frank Erwin Cook in 1940, and they had two sons. They came to California in 1945. They went first to Tulare, and by the early 50's had made their way to the Yuba City area, where they made their home. In 1964 she married
Harold Whitney. Their last home was in West Sacramento. In her early years, along with raising a family, she worked in retail and bookkeeping. Her later years were focused on family, gardening, sewing and cooking. She truly had a green thumb and her flowers were a source of joy and pride.
She was preceded in death by Frank Cook, Harold Whitney and five brothers, Roy, Floyd, Ralph, Howard and Pete. Friends are invited to attend services at the Hall Brothers Corning Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Brothers Corning Mortuary.
She is survived by two sons, Fieldon Monroe Cook and Robert Frank Cook, both of Corning; step children, Barbara Doles and William Whitney, both of Olatha, Kan., and Bo Whitney; brothers, Marvin Williams of Huga, Okla.; Chester Williams of Winston, Ore.; and Dean "Hoppy" Williams of Bishop, Texas; sisters, Ethel Beckes of Plymouth, Calif. and Arvelle Carey of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Cindee Lynn Bair of Camarillo, Calif., and Cheri Lynn Tenney of Indian Rock Beach, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
George Wheatley
George M. Wheatley, 74, a resident of Pottsville, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Little Rock to Walter and Effie Collier Wheatley. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a truck driver for many years, and was a member of the Russellville Foursquare Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ethel Marie Renfroe Wheatley.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Renfroe of Pottsville, Gary Renfroe of Dardanelle, and Doug Wheatley of Russellville; one daughter, Cynthia Nelson of Pottsville; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and close friends, Leon, Wilma and Ronnie Sims of Centerville.
Grave side service and burial were Feb. 5 at the Moore cemetery at Ben Hur, Ark., and were officiated by the Rev. Ray Boyd.
Active pallbearers were Gary Renfroe, Dylan Wheatley, Larry Don Massie, Lewis Roberts, Ronnie Sims, and Ricky Mahan. Memorials may be made to the Russellville Foursquare Gospel Church, 1203 S. Glenwood, Russellville, Ark., 72801.
Marvin Wells
Marvin Wayne Wells, 65, of Danville died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. Mr. Wells was born May 25, 1935, in the Riley Creek Community, Yell County, Ark., to the late Thomas Aaron and Ida Estelle Jean Wells.
He was a retired truck driver for Tyson and a Korean Army Veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Alice Bean Wells; two daughters, Sharon Chance of Atkins, Maunette Gateley of Crestwood, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jamie Chance of Atkins, Robert Gateley and Micheal Gateley of Crestwood, Ky.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 29, at the Cornwell Chapel in Danville with the Rev. David McLemore officiating. Interment was at the Russell cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home in Danville.
Charlie Watkins
Charlie Mack Watkins, 59, of Russellville died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 6, 1941, in Valleyview, Texas, the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Taylor Watkins, he was employed by Ed Short Poultry Catchers.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Watkins, and two sisters, Barbara Burt and Dean Austin.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Elese Watkins of Russellville; three sons, Charlie Watkins and Glendon Watkins, both of Russellville and Kelly Watkins of Hector; seven daughters, Lillie Taylor, Dorothy Taylor, Pamela Kendall, Hattie Bacdla, Sealina Blackwell, Patricia McDaniel, and Linda Watkins, all of Russellville; two brothers, Bruce Watkins of Atkins and Bert Watkins of Texas; two sisters, Christy Davenport of Dardanelle and Patsy Morgan of Oklahoma; and 23 grandchildren.
Graveside Service was Saturday, Aug. 19 at Shiloh cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Coffman officiating.
Pallbearers were Joe Taylor, Bennie Taylor, Larry Kendall, Matthew Blackwell, Gary McDaniel, and Damond Jackson.
