Loyd C. Fetters
Loyd C. Fetters, 83, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Dennis and Dora Easley Fetters, Navy veteran, Pentecostal, retired employee of Eureka Brick and Tile Company, mechanic and farmer.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margie Holland Fetters; seven daughters, Mary Woodard, Linda Hutchins, Willa Faye Smith, and Brenda Gilbert, all of Clarksville, Ruby Holman of Coos Bay, Ore., Cathy Kay Denn of Port Orford, Ore., and Audrey Arnetta Scruggs of Hernando, Miss.; five sons, Laudell Fetters, Steve Fetters, Curtis Fetters and Joe Fetters, all of Clarksville, and Earl Fetters of Lamar; five stepsons, John Wayne Wood and Charles Wood Jr., both of Clarksville, Ernie Wood of Springfield, Mo., Fred Wood of St. Louis, Mo., and Paul Wood of Fayetteville; three sisters, Irene Callahan of Lamar, Helen Pruett of Pottsville, and Colleen Wilson of Arley, Ala.; two brothers, Raymon Fetters of Lindsey, Calif., and Floyd Fetters of Arley, Ala.; 33 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Freeman and Rev. Phil Redding officiating. Burial will be in Lamar cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers will be William Smith, Norman Smith, Jerry Woodard, Wendell Woodard, Dalton Fetters, and Brian Fetters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Fetters, Duston Fetters, Jonathon Fetters, Lance Fetters, Dennis Fetters, Daniel Fetters, Tony Holman, Eric Holman, Terry Holman, Curtis Scruggs, Chip Scruggs, and Jared Wood.
Mrs. Leena E. Holcomb
Mrs. Leena Elizabeth Holcomb, 73 of Schofield, Wis., died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at her home.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late George and Merry May Walker, widow of Gilbert Ocie Holcomb, member of Belle Grove Chapter No. 56, Order of the Eastern Star at Ludwig, Thomas Street Baptist Church in Wausau, Wis., and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 215 in Minco, Okla.
Survivors include three children and spouses, Gilbert and Ruth Holcomb of Weston, Wis., Juanita Sue and Richard Van Norman of Dallas, Texas, and Sandra Beth and Steve Sims of Cumby, Texas; four sisters, Jewel Best of Ozone, Jean Daniels of Fayetteville, Marie Bryan of Minco, Okla., and Lee Forest of Tahlequah, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Brashear Baptist Church in Brashear, Texas. Burial was in Brashear Community cemetery in Brashear, Texas. Arrangements were under the direction of Peterson Funeral Home of Wausau, Wis.

Mrs. Luisa Lerma
Mrs. Luisa Lerma, 92, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, daughter of the late Fransisco and Albina Almanza Ochoa, widow of Feliciana Lerma, and member of Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carmen Ponce of Perris, Calif., and Hope Zaragoza of Madera, Calif.; five sons, Manuel Lerma of Norco, Calif., Jose Lerma of San Francisco, Calif., Alfred Lerma of Carson, Calif., Chito Lerma of Pacioma, Calif., and Felix Lerma of Lancaster, Calif.; one brother, Tony Ochoa of Garden City, Kan.; 29 grandchildren including a granddaughter and spouse, Jenny and Chuck Whitson Jr. of Clarksville; 51 great-grandchildren including Jessica and Alex Olmos Whitson of Clarksville; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial will be in Riverside, Calif. Local arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Miss Margaret Sigwalt
Miss Margaret Joyce Sigwalt, 64, of Lamar, daughter of the late R. O. and Ollie Sigwalt, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Elden Neumann of Sarasota, Fla.; and one nephew, Tom, and wife, Melinda, and children, Kate, Erin, Michael and Alexandra, of Chesterfield, Mo.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home with burial in Rosemont cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Namon Manvil Palmer
Namon Manvil Palmer, 98, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was a farmer, Baptist, son of the late Andrew and Vester Davis Palmer and was preceded in death by his wife, Ocra Faye Donaldson Palmer.
He is survived by one son, James J. Palmer of Lamar; two grandchildren, Manvil Palmer of London and Margaret Palmer Cater of Clarksville; seven great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Orville O. Curran
Orville O. Curran, 68, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at his home.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, affiliated with the Assembly of God Church, and son of the late William Earl and Mary Beryl Warren Curran.
Mrs. Anna Lucille Willis
Mrs. Anna Lucille Willis, 91, of Atkins, formerly of Hagarville, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a member of Woodlawn Freewill Baptist Church, daughter of the late Hall and Amanda Bush Johnson, and widow of John Willis.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Stewart of Dover; two sons, Johnny Willis of Tacoma, Wash., and James Willis of Russellville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Latham and Rev. Phil Bozeman officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Nowotny, Chris Lamberson, Eric Hartzell, Vernon Stewart, Bub Pearson, and David Mason.
Carl Holloway
Carl Holloway, 90, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at his home.
A native of Coal Hill, he was a son of the late John L. and Mary Elizabeth Armstrong Holloway, retired coal miner, member of the United Mine Workers of America, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeff Yates, and one son-in-law, Milton Grobe.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jewell Holloway; four daughters, Carlene Grobe of Fredericksburg, Texas, Mary Dewett of Springdale, and Anita Weathers and Rita Yates, both of Coal Hill; one son, John Holloway of Orange, Calif.; two sisters, Ora Vaught of Altus and Ruth Hopkins of North Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Cindy Oehler of Austin, Texas, Edwin Carl Grobe of Fredericksburg, Texas, Lisa Morris and Michael Holloway, both of Orange, Calif., Lee Ann Looney of Columbia, Mo., Darrell Weathers, Cheryl Smith and Steve Weathers, all of Coal Hill, and Donna Bright of Springdale; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Payne officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Esther C. Sams
Mrs. Esther C. Sams, 91, mother of Max Sams of Hartman, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at Newton County Nursing Home at Nail.
She was a lifelong resident of Newton County, daughter of the late Jesse and Cora Strait Coon, widow of Henry Sams, and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness at Deer.
She is survived by one other son, J. R. Sams of Deer; one brother, Rex Coon of Clarksville; one sister, Grace Ashlock of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Hickory Grove cemetery at Nail with Joe Sain officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
