Mrs. Lisa D. Harmon

Mrs. Lisa Davis Harmon, 31, of Clarksville died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at her home.

She was a member of Spadra Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Kevin Harmon; one daughter, Megan Nicole Harmon of the home; parents, Charles and Weda Davis of Clarksville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Teresa and Mark Hubbard of Davenport, Iowa, Linda and Allen Griffith of Greenfield, Ind., and Patricia Chuculate of Clarksville; five nieces; five nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Oden and Rev. David Qualls officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Allen Griffith, Mark Hubbard, Lee Reichert, Ken Carter, J. T. Barber, and Greg Freeman.

Mrs. Linda L. Whorton

Mrs. Linda Louise Whorton, 66, of Lamar died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Piney, daughter of the late Will and Linnie Harless Elam, a Protestant, and was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Wayne Whorton and Paul Allen Whorton.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth F. Whorton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Nick Mullings and Della and Larry Freeman, all of Lamar; three brothers, Dan Elam of Knoxville, Richard Elam of San Diego, Calif., and Ray Elam of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Mamie Mannings of Alma; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Brock cemetery at Piney. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Wayne Wheeless

Wayne Wheeless of Ozark, brother of Eunice Highfill of Hartman, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at his home.

He was a member of Ozark First Baptist Church and a self-employed livestock dealer.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Doris Wheeless; one daughter, Marilyn Frazier of Ozark; one other sister, Venice Kirby of Ozark; one brother, Ken Wheeless of Ozark; and one grandchild, Johanna Frazier of Ozark.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Ozark First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Highland cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Pallbearers will be Michael Durning, David Davidson, James Ford, Charles Barham, Ronald Patterson, and Kent Reading.

Adam Jarred Harris

Adam Jarred Harris, 16, of Lamar died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at his home.

He was a native of Stigler, Okla., member of Pittsburg Baptist Church in Lamar, junior at Lamar High School, and attended Russellville Vo-Tech.

Survivors include his parents, James Alvin and Carolyn Jean Clayborn Harris of Lamar; two brothers, Rodney Harris and Joshua Harris, both of Lamar; one sister, Desiree Harris of Lamar, two half-brothers, Clifford Harris of Fort Lewis, Wash., and James Harris of Tulsa, Okla.; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Mary Harris of Lamar; maternal grandparents, Henry and Shirley Clayborn of Knoxville; two uncles and one aunt, John Harris of Lamar and Michael and Mary Buckner of South Carolina.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Pittsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Milloway officiating.

Burial will be in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Pallbearers will be Duane Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds, Darrin Reynolds, Jason Buckner, James Casey and Willie Baxter.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Donna Ailene Bell

Mrs. Donna Ailene Bell of Ozark died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at Ozark Nursing Home.

She was a member of Ozark Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Berry of Ozark; two sisters, Sally Buttler of Tulsa, Okla., and Anna Kissinger of Pocola, Okla.; three brothers, Vaughn Thomas and Tom Thomas, both of Clarksville, and Jackie Thomas of Hartman; one grandchild, Michael Berry of Ozark.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial in West Mt. Zion cemetery near Hartman.

Pallbearers will be Steve Outlaw, Ricky White, Nelson Wheeler, Wade Clark, Gary LaRue, and Jonah Bell.

Rev. Archie D. Boone

Rev. Archie D. Boone, 73, of Clarksville died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, at his home.

He was a son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Nona Ester Franklin Boone, World War II veteran, carpenter and minister having served as pastor of Clarksville Christian Church for four and one-half years and the Indian Mission at Henryetta, Okla., for 16 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Doris Harris Boone; three daughters, Jo Ann Hill, Doris Jean Clark, and Catherine Sue Allen, all of Clarksville; one son, Charles Ray Boone of Clarksville; one brother, Ben Boone Jr. of Spiro, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Clarksville Christian Church with Rev. Jeff Doherty and Rev. Sam Howell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kimberly Callahan

Mrs. Kimberly Sue Callahan, 36, of Clarksville died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Fayetteville.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Callahan; one daughter, Tracie Callahan of the home; one son, Jeffery Callahan of the home; father, Olen Freeman of Clarksville; mother, Jessie Callahan of Clarksville; grandparents, Clifford and Mae Freeman of Clarksville; and two brothers, Harley Freeman of Little Rock and George Freeman of Clarksville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lone Pine cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Oscar James Griffith

Oscar James Griffith, 90, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of Oakland Street Church, son of the late Nathan King and Mandy Callahan Griffith, a retired farmer, coal miner, and laborer, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Susie Eastep Griffith.

He is survived by three sons, James R. B. Griffith, Kenneth Edward Griffith and Vernon Lee Griffith, all of Clarksville; four sisters, Ollie B. Phillips of Clarksville, Eva Terry of Hagarville, Francis Lannie of Morrilton and Olzetta Steward of Milwaukee, Ore.; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and several step great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Salus cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Tollison, Robert Griffith, Roy Goodin, Dennis O'Neal, Levi Willis, and Kenneth Edward Griffith Jr.
