Sandor Toth
Sandor Toth, 72, of Lamar died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Hungary, he was a son of the late Zoltan and Rosie Nagy Toth, a retired tool and dye maker, former director of New Jersey Credit Union, and a member of the machinist union.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Josee Toth; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Heather Toth of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother and sister-in-law, Zoltan and Rosa Toth of Hungary; and four grandchildren, Karlee Toth, Hannah Toth, Sandor Toth, and Seth Truby, all of Las Vegas, Nev.
Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Father Victor Gillespie officiating.
Mrs. Theresa Gregory
Mrs. Theresa Irene Gregory, 39, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a member of Faith Christian Center of Clarksville.
Survivors include her husband, Gary B. Gregory; two sons, Eric Scott Gregory and James Robert Gregory, both of the home; parents, James D. Callahan of Ozark and Zella Fay Bean Callahan of Ratcliff; four sisters, Aleta Holman and Tina Cowell, both of Ozone, Darlene Schuwaller of Paris and Joey Gonzalez of Clarksville; and two brothers, Mark Callahan and Craig Callahan, both of Ratcliff.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wooters officiating. Burial was in Yale cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Brad Pearson, Greg Cox, Geoffrey Gregory, Nathan Stillwell, Matt Yates, and Jeffery Callahan.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Warren, Mark Yates, Jimmy Gregory, and Anthony Acord.
Charles Truman Leavell
Charles Truman Leavell, 77, of Lamar died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at his home.
He was a retired saw mill employee, member of Holman Freewill Baptist Church, veteran, son of the late Gilbert and Vera Deep Leavell, and was preceded in death by one son, Calvin L. Leavell.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lahoma Brisco Leavell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Della and Aubry Williams and Frankie and Ricky Luningham, all of Dover; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Carla Leavell of Clarksville, Ronald Leavell of Muldrow, Okla., and Sonya Leavell of Dover; five sisters, Juanita McDormatt of Louisville, Ky., Norma Lee Wood of St. Louis, Mo., and Pearl Knight, Bobbie Jean Black and Jeannette Watson, all of Clarksville; four brothers, Gerald Leavell, Donnell Leavell, and Riley Leavell, all of Clarksville, and Finis Leavell of Dover; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Miller officiating. Burial was in Adams cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jeremy Freeman, Billy Hubbard, Steve Leavell, Hoyt Knight, Kenneth Knight, and Dennis West.
Honorary pallbearers were Son Alderson, Bobby Joe Wilkins, and Arnold Turner.
Lillie Jane Cowan
Lillie Jane Cowan, 89, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late William Riley and Millie Hignite Cowan and a Protestant.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the Oark cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nanette R. Luke
Mrs. Nanette Resimont Luke, 78, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of Taylorville, Ill., she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine Bianco Resimont, former resident of California, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Luke; one son, Gregory Luke of Southern California; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie Luke of Southern California; one sister, Mary Korpi of Laguna Hills, Calif.; and several cousins including Stanley Resimont, Betty Resimont, Jeff Resimont and Jim Resimont, all of Arkansas, and Bill Resimont of Georgia.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Daniel Farrer officiating. A second service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Redlands, Calif., with burial in Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands, Calif.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Audie Edgmon
Mrs. Audie Carlton Edgmon, 92, of Mossville, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Deer.
She was a native of Pettigrew, daughter of the late Theo and Etta Hammond Carlton, widow of Ell Edgmon, and charter member of the Mossville United Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Bennett of San Lorenzo, Calif., Modena Stevens of Stilwell, Okla., Betty Liggett of Deer, and Effie Gilmore of Ozone; one son, Jim Edgmon of Clarksville; two sisters, Elva Shelton of Fayetteville and Jewell Edwards of Santa Maria, Calif.; three brothers, Leonard Carlton of Cane Hill, Loren Carlton of Stilwell, Okla., and Robert Carlton of Wesley; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Mossville United Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Young and Rev. Dorlen Sparks officiating.
Burial will be in Mossville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Carlton, Elza Carlton, Randy Carlton, Reggie Carlton, Russell Sparks, and Robert Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters.
Albert J. Newman
Albert Joe (Dutch) Newman, 78, of Scranton died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, in Clarksville.
He was a son of the late Alphones and Pearl Hanks Newman, member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church at Scranton, retired cattle farmer, former Scranton School Board member, former owner and operator of the Albert Newman Winery, and retired owner and operator of the Friendly Tavern at Scranton after 36 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bobbye Walker Newman; two daughters, Patty Adams of Paris and Susan Linker of Vilonia; one son, Mike Newman of Lavaca; one foster son, Ronnie King of Subiaco; one brother, Phillip Newman of Prairie View; four grandchildren, Chris Adams and Michelle Adams, both of Paris, Angela Adams and Melonie Newman, both of Conway; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Adams of Paris.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at St. Ignatius Church with burial in St. Ignatius cemetery at Scranton. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Pallbearers will be Joe Koch, Gerald Geels, Larry Kern, Kenny Tencleve, Paul Newman, and Tom Newman.

Allen H. Robinson
Allen Henry Robinson, 35, of Batson died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a member of Sherrellville Church and Oark School Board, Master Mason of Spring Hill Lodge 118 at Hartman, waste water operator for Honeysuckle White in Ozark, and native of Russellville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Robyn Sherrell Robinson; three daughters, Lauren Robinson, Lakyn Robinson and Laryn Robinson, all of the home; parents, Billy and Judy Robinson of Coal Hill; and four brothers, Mike Robinson of Lamar, Greg Robinson and Lewis Robinson, both of Hartman, and Bryan Robinson of Coal Hill.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Eddie Birdsong and Rev. Don Wright officiating. Burial was in Sherrellville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Luttrel, Gary Dickerson, Steve Farrell, Mark Hatchett, Steve Gailey, and Donnie Wright.
