Mrs. Imojean Stauffer
Mrs. Imojean Hardcastle Taylor Stauffer, 79, of Ozark, sister of Odys Hardcastle of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
She was a retired employee of Cargill Inc.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Stauffer; two daughters, Shelba Jean Tucker and Glaedean Parker, both of Ozark; two sons, Jerry Don Taylor and Jimmie Ray Taylor, both of Ozark; three sisters, Mary Opper and Lena Parker, both of Ozark, and Ocene Sutliff of Paris; one other brother, Edward Hardcastle of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial in Gar Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Tucker, Donald Tucker, Stevie Tucker, Robert Parker, Craig Parker, Marty Taylor, and Jimmy L. Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Cowan, David Howe, Bobby Graham, Don Hardcastle, Terry Hardcastle, Kenneth Hardcastle, and Larry Hardcastle.
Milton Edison Turner
Milton Edison Turner, 74, of Lamar died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Deval, Okla., son of the late Oloes and Vivian Mae Hastings Turner, member of the Clarksville Nazarene Church, and retired in 1972 after 24 1/2 years with the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gisela Turner; one son, David Marshall Turner of Lexington, Ky.; and one step-grandson, Rickie Lee Hawkins of Lamar.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Newton officiating. The body was cremated.
Mrs. Stella Otwell
Mrs. Stella Otwell, 88, of Fort Smith, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Sparks Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Georgetown, Texas, daughter of the late Robert Travis and Emma Lenora Galloway Arnold, widow of Robert E. Otwell, member of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by a son, R. Stanley Otwell, and a daughter, Venita Jo Otwell.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Otwell of Lubbock, Texas, and Blake Otwell of Clarksville; two daughters, Elaine Wilhelm of Fort Smith and Ruth Gagliardi of Trinidad, Colo.; one brother, Oscar Arnold of Seminole, Okla.; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.
Burial was in Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Mrs. Velna M. Bean
Mrs. Velna M. Bean, 92, of Clarksville died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Dr. Steven Monroe and Mary Isabel Warren Graves, widow of Lawrence Richard Bean, member of the Church of Christ, and a retired school teacher having taught in public schools for several years prior to opening a private kindergarten in Clarksville. She was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Jean Graves of Mountainburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Horn, Jim Clark, Ewell Sexton, Flynn Kinman, Duane Steele, and Elvin Brown.
Mrs. Charlie F. Buckner
Mrs. Charlie Frances Buckner, 86, of Van Buren, formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Brownwood Manor in Van Buren.
She was a daughter of the late Charles Edmond and Maude Jones Self, widow of Otis James Buckner, and member of the Church of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Laverne Snow of Fort Smith; two sons, Lee James Buckner of Van Buren and Michael Don Buckner of Clarksville; three sisters, Esma Simmons of Emmett, Idaho, Gladys Worth of Brogan, Ore., and Emma Land of Randall, Wash.; one brother, Ferrell Self of Scotsburg, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Redding officiating. Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Buckner, Gary Buckner, Tim Harris, Joe Fonville, Jeff Dale, and Brian Box.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Betty M. Sparks
Funeral for Mrs. Betty M. Bradley Sparks, 69, of Grove, Okla., who died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at Grove General Hospital will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Hinderliter-Woodard Chapel in Grove, Okla., with Rev. Leo Culver officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Holman cemetery near Lamar.
She was a daughter of Nealy and Vannie Harmon Bradley, member of the Grove First United Methodist Church and the Iris Garden Club of Grove, Okla., and was preceded in death by one sister, Marveline Jones of Vallejo, Calif., and stepmother, Lucille Link of Bixby, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, Rowland Sparks; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gary Harris of Independence, Mo.; two brothers, Gene Bradley of Concord, Calif., and James Bradley of Turlock, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Reagan and Alissa Harris of Independence, Mo.
Edward Lloyd Mauldin
Edward Lloyd Mauldin, 69, of Springdale, son of Mrs. Ollie Ragan Mauldin of Clarksville, died March 2, 1999, in Springdale.
He was a native of Tinsman, son of the late Rev. Clece Fuller Mauldin, and had taught school for 25-plus years.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lavelle Mauldin; two sons, Kerry Mauldin of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Michael Mauldin of Fayetteville; four daughters, Sheri Quin and Lori Mauldin, both of Springdale, Daunelle Bishop of Siloam Springs, and Erin Deleeuw of Fort Hood, Texas; one brother, Cecil Mauldin of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Doris Pitts of Clarksville and Bessie Spurgin of Panama City, Fla.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville with Kerry Mauldin and Rev. Don Evans officiating.
Burial was in Zion cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.
Hoyt Jackson Campbell
Hoyt Jackson Campbell, 71, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at his home in Smyrna, Tenn.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late Grover Lee and Etta Sara Jones Campbell, U. S. veteran of World War II and the Korean War, member of the Baptist Church and a retired jig builder at Textron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Virginia Creager Campbell; and four brothers, Clyde Campbell, Eldon Campbell, Edgar Campbell, and Claude Campbell.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marla Kim and Ray Mullins of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Christina and Steve Neal of Smyrna, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Lani Marie Davis Harris of Purvis; two sisters, Betty Fay Schmidt of Tacoma, Wash., and Amanda Ray Wilson of Columbus, Miss.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Larry J. Rogers
Larry J. Rogers, 52, of Hope died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at Wadely Regional Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Estle and Ethel Scott Rogers, and employed as an equipment operator for Bobo and Bain Construction.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pat Rogers; two sons, Joe Sasser of Stafford, Va., and Tony Sasser of Manassas, Va.; one sister, Carol England of Lonoke; three brothers, Sonny Rogers of Dover, Jerry Rogers of Houston, Texas, and Ronnie Rogers of Morrilton; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Bland and Daniel Bland, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Brittney Thomas of Virginia.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Goodin officiating. Burial will be in West Mt. Zion cemetery near Hartman.
