Michael John Dahlem

Michael John Dahlem, 57, of Many, La., died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at his home.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Alfred and Jackie Edelhuber Dahlem of Many, La., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dahlem of Altus. He was a fighter pilot for 33 years in the 188th Arkansas Air National Guard having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, a Catholic, and employed as a forester by Walsh Timber Company of Zwolle, La.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Junie Dahlem; one daughter, Michelle Bryant of Clemmons, N. C.; two sons, Michael John Dahlem II of San Diego, Calif., and Martin Jefferson Dahlem of Fort Smith; five brothers, Gene Dahlem of Glendale, Ariz., Bob Dahlem of Fort Smith, and Freddy Dahlem, Tommy Dahlem, and Jerry Dahlem, all of Many, La.; two sisters, Mary Callaway of Fort Smith and Kathy Leding of Springdale; and two grandchildren, Jacob Michael Dahlem and Darynne Angelique Dahlem.
Rosary was recited Friday evening, July 23, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle, La., where a memorial mass was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle, La.

Gary Allen Robinson

Gary Allen Robinson, 27, of Clarksville died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Coal Hill.
He was a native of Ozark, graduate of Clarksville High School, U. S. Marine veteran, and an employee of Stapleton Metals Division.
He is survived by one daughter, Savannah Rae Robinson of Clarksville; parents, John D. and Brenda K. Robinson of Clarksville; grandparents, Lola L. Robinson of London and Vernon D. Taylor of Grand Junction, Colo.; great-grandmother, Jewell Taylor of Clarksville; one sister, La Donna Robinson Parsons of Lamar; and one brother, Billy Martin of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Troy Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Parsons, Billy Martin, Troy Turner, Mark Millikan, David Morrow, and Andy Chesser.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Middleton and T. J. Bradberry.

James M. Holben

James M. Holben, 82, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a Methodist, son of the late M. L. and Carrinna A. Dixon Holben, and a member of the National Rifle Association and Johnson County Coon Hunters Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Freda Lough of Clarksville; one son, Bill Holben of Clarksville; three brothers, Efton Holben of Sebastopol, Calif., Roy Holben of Lamar, and Glen Holben of Paris; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Holben, Terry Yancey, Sherman Cole, David Gainey, Mike Morgan, and Gary Ragsdale.

J. G. Morrow

Funeral for J. G. Morrow, 76, of Mulberry, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Crawford County Hospital in Van Buren, was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Liberty Hill Church at Hunt with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Harold Fields officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Morrow, Tommy Williams, Jason Rogers, Junior Patterson, Dean Nichols, and Zachary King.
He was a retired Mulberry Lumber Company employee, member of Calvary Chapel Church at Alma, Army veteran of World War II, son of the late Robert and Birte Fultz Morrow, and was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sharon Noyes, one brother, John Morrow, and four sisters, Iva Smith, Reba Cox, Flornce Giffern and Lois Davidson.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frankie Nichols Morrow; one daughter and son-in-law, Murline and Kenneth Shatwell of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. G. and Nancy Morrow of Mulberry; two sisters, Velma Askins and Ona Cox, both of Hunt; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Morrow, Karen Patterson, J. R. Patterson, Tommy Williams, Tammy Williams, Leanne Rogers and Jason Rogers; six great-grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, Amber, T. J., Sammie, and Daci; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Louise Meyer

Mrs. Louise Katherine Wilson Meyer, 80, of Yucaipa, Calif., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999.
She was a native of Coal Hill, daughter of the late Robert Jerry Wilson and Nola Lowe Wilson Kirkpatrick, former resident of Little Rock, retired bookkeeper for Shelly Rand and Allied Arkansas Bearing Company after 25-years plus, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Jerry Wilson and Kenneth Kirkpatrick, both of Fort Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen John Meyer Jr.; two daughters, Barbara Norton of Yucaipa, Calif., and Sharon Hudgens of Vallejo, Calif.; one son, Stephen John Meyer III of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Fred Kirkpatrick of Fort Smith; one sister, Gail Tompkins of Little Rock; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, in the chapel of Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock with Father Warren Harvey officiating. Burial was at Rest Hills Memorial Park of North Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to Acompano Mission Fund, Notre Dame Seminary, 2901 S. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118 or the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Margaret Phillips

Mrs. Margaret Victoria Rutledge Phillips, 97, of Houston, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, widow of John A. Phillips, and member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Geneva Faye and George W. Shook of El Paso, Texas, Julia Opal White of Houston, Texas, and Gladys Marie Harris of Nebraska; three sisters, Esther Phillips of Van Buren, Lola Phillips of Clarksville, and Ertie Light of Romona, Calif.; nine grandchildren and spouses, Karen Shook, Lisa and Steve Corley, Stephen and Beth Shook, Mr. and Mrs. James N. (Barbara) White Jr., Naomi Marie Henderson, Norma Faye Patton, Vickie Mae and Bruce Williamson, Rebecca Ann Boulter, and Norman Rex and Lori Harris; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at North Central Assembly of God Church in Houston, Texas, with Rev. Paul Emmerson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cremation Service International.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at the Freewill Baptist Church on Highway 64 in Clarksville with burial to follow in Oakland cemetery.

Michael Allen Rink

Michael Allen Rink, 17, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on Hudson Springs Road.
He was a native of Juneau, Alaska, member of the Clarksville First United Methodist Church, National Beta Club, Bible Club, Science Club, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a 1999 honor graduate of Westside High School at Coal Hill where he played football and baseball, vice president and district officer of United Methodist Youth Fellowship, and a UMYF leadership scholarship recipient from Hendrix College in Conway where he planned to play baseball after enrollment in September.
Survivors include his fiancee, Lesley Krohn of Clarksville; father and stepmother, Rev. D. Chris and Gladys Rink of Clarksville; mother, Vanda Hawkins of Fayetteville; three brothers, Christopher Rink of Fayetteville, and David Drueckhammer and John Drueckhammer, both of Denton, Texas; and grandparents, Fred and Rev. Sammye Rink of Mansfield, Ray and Winnie Carthel of Texarkana, Texas, and Thelma McCutchen of Waxahachie, Texas.
A memorial service was held at noon Friday, Aug. 6, at the Clarksville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lewis See Jr. officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Hard-
wicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dan Benton, Dave Williams, Bruce Dunlap, Kyle Farrar, and members of the Westside High School football and baseball teams.
Memorials may be made to Michael Rink Memorial Scholarship, % Hendrix College, Conway, AR.

Russell E. Dillingham

CW4 Russell Eugene Dillingham, 67, of Scranton died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Scranton.
He was a retired chief warrant officer having served in the U. S. Army 32-plus years including one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam, an Airborne Rigger who served in several airborne units including the 101st and 5th Special Forces, was the recipient of 39-plus awards and made over 8,000 parachute jumps during his career. He was a member of Moose Lodge, American Legion, VFW, Retired Officers Association, Airborne Association, and AUSA, and was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Dillingham.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Patti Lee Dillingham; one daughter, Laura Dillingham of Tempe, Ariz.; four sons, Thomas James Dillingham of Scranton, Russell E. Dillingham II of Phoenix, Ariz., Scott Dillingham of Chandler, Ariz., and Sean Dillingham of Tempe, Ariz.; one sister, Joy Dillingham of Taos, N. M.; seven grandsons; and one granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Roller Chapel in Paris. The body was cremated with burial to be in Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Mo., at a later date.

Mrs. Thelma N. Barham

Mrs. Thelma Nadine Barham, 74, of Ozark, mother of Linda Price of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, in a Hot Springs hospital.
She was a Methodist, retired Singer Corporation parts assembly employee, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Dean Neissl and Zetta Ruth Hirtler.
She is survived by one other daughter, Brenda Gilbreath of Hot Springs; three sisters, Dorothy Neissl, Verlene Sharp, and Mildred Dixon, all of Charleston; two brothers, Jerry Sanford of Ozark and Eugene Sanford of Grand Island, Fla.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Ruth Bradley of Charleston.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Hess cemetery near Coal Hill.
