Austin Lynn Vannoy

Austin Lynn Vannoy, infant son of Thomas Eric and Cynthia May Vannoy of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Other survivors include one sister, Katelyn Marie Vannoy of Clarksville; grandparents, Lois and Darry Reynolds of Clarksville and Wilma and Dennis Vannoy of Missouri; and great-grandmother, Jo Reynolds of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Loren E. Famuliner officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery at Lutherville.

Mrs. Alene Dawson

Mrs. Alene Dawson, 79, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Spadra, daughter of the late Jim and Rose Ladd Howard, widow of Howard Dawson, graduate of Clarksville High School, retired USDA government inspector, and a member of Spadra Methodist Church and Clarksville Chapter No. 172 Order of Eastern Star for 54 years.
She is survived by one sister, Mattie Shaffer of Clarksville; one brother, Morgan Howard of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Hearrell officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Morgan Earl Howard, Bill Scarbrough, Wendell Howard, Dutch Houston, Larry Chronister, and Dave Harp.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Gideons, and/or Hospice.

David Evan Williams

David Evan Williams, 8, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a third grade student at Pyron Elementary School in Clarksville.
Survivors include his father, Eddie Williams of Russellville; mother and stepfather, Donna Williams and Don Warren of Clarksville; grandparents, Ann Skiles of Clarksville, and Pat Williams and Bill Williams, both of Lamar; great-grandmother, Realon Bean of Clarksville; two sisters, Tuesday Willis of Clarksville and Amanda Warren of Tacoma, Wash.; and two brothers, T. A. Willis of Oark and Eric Warren of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. George Willis officiating.

Fred G. Kasper

Fred G. Kasper, 25, of Hartman died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Highway 352 on Wednesday, Aug. 18.
He was a native of Ozark, member of Union Grove Baptist Church, 1992 graduate of Westside High School at Coal Hill, and was preceded in death by grandfathers, Wendell Cook and John Kasper.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pam Kasper; one daughter, Kimberly; two sons, Nathan and John; parents, Ray and Debbie Kasper of Hartman; grandmothers, Beverly Cook of Hartman and Luella Kasper of Clarksville; one sister, Tanya; two brothers, Chad and Matthew; one niece, Deanna Jane; and one nephew, Nicholas Blake.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Burnett King officiating.
Burial was in Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Travis Kasper, Nicholas Kasper, Gary Lust, Dwight Warren, Wesley Warren, and Keith Morrow.

Gregory Wayne Umholtz

Gregory Wayne Umholtz, 37, of Ozark died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, in Ozark.
He was a member of the Army National Guard and the Ozark Country Club, a truck driver, and Pentecostal.
He is survived by one daughter, Sommer Umholtz of Lamar; two sons, Britten Umholtz of Lamar and Dustin Jones of Ozark; parents, Jerry and Sharon Umholtz of Ozark; maternal grandmother, Faris Walls of Ozark; one sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Tim Cline of Ozark; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Clay and Christy Umholtz of Ozark and H. P. Black of Bentonville; and four nieces.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark.
Burial was in Morgan Hill cemetery at Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Charlie Harless, Mike Ivy, Harold McFadden, Mike Kueffner, Bill Brockett, Mike Walker, Mike Wright, Tim Cline, Steve Easom, Junior Wright and Don O'Neal.

Mrs. Izada Ann Crum

Mrs. Izada Ann Crum, 85, of Clarksville died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of the Hickeytown Community, daughter of the late Thomas and Jonnie Valeria Franklin Jones, widow of Denver Crum, and former resident of Springfield, Mo.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Denise Hickey of Clarksville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Kraft officiating. Burial was in Engelwood cemetery in Clinton, Mo., on Aug. 24.

Mrs. Louise (Peg) Hogue

Mrs. Louise (Peg) Hogue, 83, of Hartman died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late William and Helena Theresa Jane Crowder Walston, a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie L. Hogue; and one sister, Faye Flowers of Saratoga, Texas.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Broussard's Funeral Chapel in Kountze, Texas with burial in Guedry cemetery at Batson, Texas. Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mildred M. Sims

Mrs. Mildred McCarley Sims, 70, of Earle died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at her home.
She was a retired employee of Kimco Auto Parts, widow of B. D. Sims, and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of West Memphis.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Aldridge of Marion and Gayle Berry and Deborah Helms, both of Earle; one son, Carroll Dee Sims of Earle; four sisters, Amy Kerr and Bonnie Holmes, both of Houston, Texas, and Bertha Korenek and Dean McCarley, both of Sunnyvale, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at Sardis General Baptist Church at Gravesville with burial in Copper Springs cemetery at Guy. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.

Nicholas D. Williams

Nicholas D. Williams, 30, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tonia McCune Williams; one daughter, Ashley Williams of Clarksville; one son, Dalton Williams of Clarksville; father, Jerry Williams; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Donald Oliger of Clarksville; grandparents, Thomas and Argie Williams and G. W. and Betty Vaught, all of Clarksville; and two brothers, Jim Ed Williams of Clarksville and Tony Williams of Florida.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dion Morgan, Tanif Crotts, Steve Black, Billy Nobles, Eric Teague, Brian Woodard, Rick Vaught, and Ed Williams.
