Kenneth Ray McCarley
Kenneth Ray McCarley, 58, of Lamar died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late Thomas (Buck) McCarley and a supervisor for Big Mack Tank Truck Company.
He is survived by one daughter, Gina Lax of Knoxville; one son, Brian McCarley of Knoxville; mother, Ellen McCarley of Lamar; two brothers, Tom McCarley of Conway and Roy McCarley of North Little Rock; and one grandson, Thomas McCarley of Knoxville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blair officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Frank Killough, John Belcher, George Wyles, Jerry Ogden, Bobby Joe Wilkins, and Rick Harmon.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike West, Bud Burgess, Mike Harvey, Jeff Callahan, John Kalcich, and Bobby Garrison.
Bobby D. Lee
Bobby D. Lee, 62, of Hot Springs died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at his home.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Audie and Juanita Phillips Lee, a 1955 graduate of Clarks-
ville High School, Air Force veteran, and a retired car dealer.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura Pifer of North Little Rock, Lisa Renfrow of Little Rock, and Le Anne Freeman of Houston; two brothers, Bill Lee of Van Buren and Mike Lee of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Christine Pifer of North Little Rock and Robert Lee Renfrow and Julie Renfrow, both of Little Rock; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Cummins, Mark Freeman, Rick Hastings, Robert Renfrow, Mike Pursel, and Carl Hill.

Mrs. Biddie O. Hoover
Mrs. Biddie O. Hoover, 78, of Hartman died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
A native of Hartman, she was a daughter of the late George and Florence Bell Evans, widow of Ray Hoover, graduate of Hartman High School, member of the Hartman Methodist Church and Coal Hill VFW 8532, and was a nurse in the Waves during World War II stationed in Hawaii. She was preceded in death by one son, Duell, three sistes, and four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Flo Ann and Don Highfill of Hartman; one sister, Wanda Hook of Hartman; one brother, Doyle Evans of Hartman; and three grandchildren, Cory Highfill, Jeff Highfill, and Reagan Highfill, all of Hartman.
Graveside services and burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Hess cemetery with Rev. Phil Sturdy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Don Highfill, Larry Carter, Stanley Carter, Randy Carter, Earl Carter, and Robert Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Evans, Jimmy Evans, David Evans, George Evans, Larry Evans, James Evans, James Carter, Bob Emery, and Randy Salinero.
Bill Russell
Bill Russell, 80, of Demming, N. M., died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, in Demming, N. M.
He was a former resident of Clarksville and son of the late Andy and Belle Garland Russell.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bobbie Russell; one daughter; two sisters, Ruby Carter Tyner of Clarksville and Georgia Smith of Conway; and two grandchildren.
Funeral and burial were Tuesday, Nov. 16, in Demming, N. M.
Gilbert (G. G.) Carter
Gilbert (G. G.) Carter, 74, of Fresno, Calif., died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999.
He was a native of Texas, former resident of Madera, Calif., installation supervisor, member of the Fig Garden Golf Course in Fresno, Calif., was active in Boy Scouts where he was Wood badge holder and a Thunderbird training chairman in the Sequoia Council District, and founder of the first Explorer Post at the Methodist Church in Madera, Calif.
Survivors include one son, Gilbert Carter Jr. of Fresno, Calif.; two daughters, Susan Harris and Sandy Smith, both of Madera, Calif.; five grandchildren, Melissa, Melinda, Kymme, Travis and Jenna; one great-grandson, Andrew; and the mother of his children, Pauline Mayfield of Coal Hill.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Jay Chapel in Madera, Calif., with burial at Arbor Vitae cemetery in Madera, Calif.
James I. Elmore
James I. Elmore, 44, of the Gilkey Community in Yell County died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
In June 1994 he became a probation-parole officer for the Arkansas Department of Community Punishment Area 7 serving Johnson, Pope, Yell, Conway and Franklin counties.
A native of Russellville, he was a 1973 graduate of Plainview High School and a 1977 graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville where he received a bachelor of science degree in history and political science.
He was a licensed minister and member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he served as youth minister and the teenage Sunday school class teacher.
A former employee of the Yell County Sheriff's office, he had been a supervisor, radio dispatcher, deputy and investigator for the prosecuting attorney's office, a former constable for Gilkey Township, past member of the Rover Volunteer Fire Department, past PTO president for Plainview Rover schools, a ham radio operator, member of the Nuclear Response Team for Yell County and the coordinator for the Yell County Nuclear Planning and Development Team.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Lorene Hunt Elmore, one brother, and one sister.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Debbie Ann Hamley Elmore; two daughters, Sarah Ann Elmore and Rebekah Lorene Elmore, both of the home; father, Obie Madison Elmore of Russellville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Pat Hamley of Brockwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Travis and Rhonda Frisbee of Batesville; one nephew, Kevin Frisbee of Batesville; and several cousins.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Danville First Baptist Church with Brad Finkbeiner and W. K. Roach officiating.
Burial was in New Bethel cemetery near Plainview under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.

Mrs. Mary G. Larison
Mrs. Mary G. Larison, 76, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Jessie and Louise Bond Wright, widow of Howard Larison, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Haberlein, and one sister, Pauline Taylor.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Sue Cowell of Clarksville and Janie Silvey of Lamar; two sons, Donald Guinnip and Frank Jessie Guinnip, both of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister, Ester Russo of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Charles Wright of Jefferson City, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Annie's Chapel cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Wesley Walker, Tim Schultz, Larry Skidgel, Jerrold Cowell, and Jay Haberlein.
William Miner
William Ralph Miner, 74, of Selma, Calif., brother of Tom Miner of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, in Fresno, Calif.
A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a board member of the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Miner Sr. and Goldie Stafford Miner.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gellila Miner; three daughters, Donna Bolin of Fresno, Calif., Janice Miner of Sacramento, Calif., and Brenda Jenkins of Redmond, Calif.; one son, Larry Miner of Yucaipa, Calif.; three sisters, Irene Dearing of Indiana, Gerri McCartney of Ozark and Joyce Miner of Yellville; two other brothers, Fred Miner of Ozark and Glen Miner of Yellville; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Williams Ceme-
tery near Ozark with Rev. John Martin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Greg Miner, Chris Jenkins, Billy Jenkins, Brian Pelletier and Steve Frost.
