Mrs. Marie Guckenburg
Mrs. Marie Guckenburg, 82, of Ozark, sister of Reba Wall of Coal Hill, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Coal Hill.
She was a native of Alix, daughter of the late William Franklin and Gracie Nichols Williams, widow of August Guckenburg, and member of the Church of the Nazarene in Ozark.
She is survived by one other sister, Louise Pesterfield of Hemet, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Monday, Dec. 13, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusty Pearson officiating. Burial was in Nichols Chapel cemetery near Altus.
Pallbearers were Rube Hunt, Bob Nichols, Terry Nichols, Art Hill, Jim Hill, and Bob Terry.

Mrs. Maudie Pannell
Mrs. Maudie L. Pannell, 85, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of the Spadra Community, daughter of the late William Sidney and Laura Melissa Brown East, and a member of the Hays Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy E. Pannell; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Masingale of Shawnee, Kan., Lynda and Jimmy Tipton of Clarksville, Francene and Darrel Freeman of De Soto, Kan., and Peggy and Patrick Spindler of Fort Smith; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Nancy) Pannell Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Glen (Sheila) Pannell, all of Shawnee, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. Riley (Vicki) Pannell of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Nell Snider of Monroe, La., and Mamie Armstrong of Pasadena, Texas; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Hays Chapel Methodist Church with Mike Eppinette officiating.
Burial will be in Hays Chapel cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Richard Lee Bradley
Richard Lee Bradley, 45, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a self-employed automobile mechanic and member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sara Anne Letson Bradley; four daughters, Evelyn Mechelle Lovell of Scott City, Kan., Deanna Marie Vines of Canadian, Texas, Traci Lynn Snyder of Lamar, and Joni Lee Gillispie of Clarksville; five sons, Marvin Ray Kirkland of McLean, Texas, Johnny Thomas Kirkland of Scott City, Kan., Richard Wayne Bradley of Deshler, Neb., and Charles Lee Bradley and Shane Weldon Bradley, both of the home; parents, Jesse Earl Latham and Phyllis Jean Wheatley, both of Republic, Kan.; one sister, Jeanne Lynn Latham of Cave Creek, Ariz.; four brothers, Donald Earl Latham of San Jose, Calif., and Stephen George Latham, Darrell Gene Latham and Jesse Stuart Latham, all of Republic, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Lone Pine cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Roller-Cox Chapel.
Richard A. Honson
Richard A. Honson, 84, of Russellville died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
He was a native of Mediapolis, Iowa, son of the late Albion and Flossie Callaway Honson, retired owner-operator of Senor Bob's Taco Hut in Russellville, member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Russellville and Gideons International and also worked in the Pope County Detention Center with the Russellville Chapter of the Gideons. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Mendenhall, and one son-in-law, Larry Ward.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances Lohmann Honson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce and Raymond Raines of Martinez, Calif., and Jeraldine Ward of Atkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Kathy Honson of Siloam Springs; one brother, Robert Honson of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Marcella Myers of Mediapolis, Iowa, and Marjorie Dodds of Burlington, Iowa; eight grandsons; 16 great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; five step-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Russellville with Rev. Larry Jeffries officiating.
Burial was in Kossuth cemetery at Mediapolis, Iowa, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Sam Sexton Jr.
Sam Sexton Jr., 75, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at a Fort Smith hospital.
He was a businessman and attorney and had practiced law for 45 years and continued to actively practice law until the time of his death. He graduated as valedictorian of the 1955 class of the University of Arkansas School of Law and was founder and senior member of the Sexton and Fields Law Firm in Fort Smith. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a 32nd degree Mason, member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, numerous civic and charitable organizations, and was also instrumental in establishing numerous residential living facilities for the elderly and handicapped.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Donna Sue Sexton; two daughters, Diane Sexton of Little Rock and Sherrye Demi of Fort Smith; three sons, Sam (Chip) Sexton III, Farrell Sexton, and Powell Sanders, all of Fort Smith; two brothers, Don Sexton of Booneville and Bill Sexton of Paris; one sister, Mary Ann Brody of Fort Smith; and nine grandchildren.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Putman Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Charles Ledbetter, Doug Smith, Dr. Kemal Kutait, John Sullivan, Bobby Stephens, Omar Zufari and Dr. Munir Zufari.

Mrs. Barbara Hutchins
Mrs. Barbara Ann Hutchins, 51, of Lamar died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Ministries A Flame Church and daughter of the late Oscar E. McAlister and Gracie A. Clayborn McAlister.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. Hutchins; two daughters, Connie A. Porter of Clarksville and Mary L. (Sissy) Kaylor of Ward; two sons, Jimmy D. Hale of Clarksville and Billy J. Hale of Lamar; two sisters, Linda A. Bruton and Mary Lou McAlister, both of Lamar; two brothers, Everett Ray McAlister of Clarksville and Bobby Joe McAlister of Lamar; and six grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Ministries A Flame Church with Edna Burnett, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Holt, Josh White, Ronnie White, William Palmer, Billy Ray Parker, and Joe McCarley.
Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Wood, Bobby Dean Duff, and Danny Clayborn.
