Don A. Vick Sr.

Don A. Vick Sr., 66, of Biloxi, Miss., died Sunday, March 26, 2000, in Vancleave, Miss.

A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late William and Edythe Dobbs Vick, former resident of Alexandria, Minn., and the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was an owner-operator in the trucking industry and a member of VFW Post No. 6731 in D'lberville, Miss.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Stanley Tanner of Vancleave, Miss.; two sons, Kenneth Allen Vick and Don Allen Vick Jr., both of Alexandria, Minn.; one sister, Lalia N. Vick Leslie of Conway; two brothers, William Vick of Olathe, Kan., and Curtis Vick of Gulfport, Miss.; and two grandsons, David Dossett and Patrick Dossett of Vancleave, Miss.

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Stanley Tanner residence in Vancleave, Miss. Arrangements were under the direction of the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, Miss.

Eugene D. Barber

Eugene D. (Biggin) Barber, 77, died March 27, 2000, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Charles Issac and Stella Mae Stepp Barber, retired employee of Paul Montgomery Construction Company, a Baptist, an Army veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal and an Oak Leaf Cluster, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Barber and Clinton Barber.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alva Asher Barber; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Neal and Jeanie Barber of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Donnie Barber of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Charlotte Toben of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four brothers, J. C. Barber of Essex, Mo., Seaborn Barber of Sikeston, Mo., Bob Barber of Morehouse, Mo., and Jerry Barber of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Avis Hupp of Sikeston, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Danielle Barber, Rachel Barber, Stephanie Barber and Katherine Barber, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, Mo., with burial in the Cochran cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Houston

Mrs. Emma Houston, 94, of Clarksville died Monday, April 3, 2000, at her home.

She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Joe and Nora Smith Laugwitz, widow of George P. Houston, and a member of the Clarksville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, James Houston; and one daughter, Burnell Masterson.

Survivors include one son, Bill Houston of Clarksville; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with Mike Eppinette and John Ballard officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ewell Sexton, James Horn, Elvin Brown, Bob Frost, Malvern Gray, and Flynn Kinman.

Memorials may be made to the Clarksville Church of Christ, P. O. Box 117, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Mrs. Inez Neihouse

Mrs. Inez E. Foulke Neihouse, 92, of Salina, Kan., died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Salina Regional Health Center.

A former resident of Clarksville, she was a native of Zurich, Kan., widow of John B. Neihouse, member of Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish, Sacred Heart Ladies Guild, Legion of Mary, American Association of Retired Persons, and Women of the Moose. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Bruce and Mary Louise Neihouse; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons, John R. Neihouse of Salina, Kan., and Jim Neihouse of Downs, Kan.; nine daughters, Marie Lewis, Joan Lust, Judy Wooldridge and Gerry Parker, all of Salina, Kan., Kate Billinger of Topeka, Kan., Sr. Pat Neihouse of Brazil, South America, Betty Hoggatt of Clinton, Ind., Jan Neihouse of Denver, Colo., and Virginia Gross of Tucson, Ariz.; 40 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kan., with Msgr. James Hake and Fr. Fred Gatschet officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery in Salina, Kan., under the direction of Ryan Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral of Sacred Heart Junior/Senior High School, both in Salina, Kan.

Jun Sandy Myers

Jun Sandy Myers, 62, of Clarksville died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Fort Smith.

He was a son of the late Lawrence and Margaret Moore Myers and a rancher.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susan Chung Myers; two daughters, Doris Chun and Lisa Chun, both of New York; two sons, John Chun of Los Angeles, Calif., and Young Chun of Maumelle; one brother, John Lawrence Myers of Baltimore, Md.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Chun, Young Soo Chun, Rusty Taylor, Roger Tomlinson, Koo H. Chung, and Koo B. Chung.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lois Cowan Davis

Mrs. Lois Belle Cowan Davis, 75, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, in Redding, Calif.

She was a native of Salus, daughter of the late Albert (Ab) and Pearl Rhoades Cowan, and widow of Samuel Earl Davis.

She is survived by five daughters, Joan Burbank, Joie Orr, Brenda Neal, Judy Martin and Peggy Woods, all of Redding, Calif.; one son, Samuel Davis of Eugene, Ore.; one brother, Lowell Cowan of Cottonwood, Calif.; one sister, Iuta Pittman of Redding, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending. Burial will be at the Happy Valley cemetery in Anderson, Calif.

Noah W. Daniel Sr.

Noah W. (Bill) Daniel Sr., 72, died Jan. 22, 2000, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R. I.

He was a native of Nampa, Idaho, son of the late Robert Lee and Pearl Overbey Daniel, and grandson of the late Will and Carrie Overbey and Noah L. and Catherine Hankins Daniel of Johnson County. He had been a machinist in California for many years prior to moving to Caldwell, Idaho, and then to Providence, R. I., 11 years ago. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert D. Daniel of Palo Alto, Calif.

Survivors include one son, Noah W. Daniel Jr. of Norfolk, Neb.; one daughter, Elizabeth L. Cogean of Providence, R. I.; one stepdaughter, Laura Rego of Providence, R. I.; one brother, Earnest Daniel of New Mexico; two sisters, Kathleen Daniel of Nampa, Idaho, and Majorie Finley of Caldwell, Idaho; and four grandchildren.

The body was cremated.

Mrs. Opal N. Peavler

Mrs. Opal Nioma Peavler, 80, of Dardanelle, mother of Ann Eichenberger of Clarksville, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Lamar.

She was a native of Wynona, Okla., daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Wright Carr, widow of Laurence Peavler, and attended the Pisgah Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Charles Peavler of Ponca City, Okla., one other daughter, Marie Hopson of Dardanelle; two sisters, Beth Loflin and Maryann Jamison of California; ten grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, at Brearley cemetery with Roland Green officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle.

Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Pisgah Methodist Church, Route 1 Box 1085, Dardanelle, AR 72834-9751.
