Daisy Mae Rowbotham

Daisy Mae McCarley Rowbotham, 81, of Hagarville died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late William Sanford and Ossie Belle Jones McCarley, graduate of Lamar High School, member of the Hagarville Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Pierce, Thomas (Buck), John Frank, and Joe McCarley.
Survivors include her husband, Ocil Rowbotham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Leland Bean of Lamar and Nedra and Larry Bacchus of Hagarville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Noel and Charlotte Rowbotham, Dale and Dee Rowbotham, and Dale and Pat Rowbotham, all of Hagarville; one sister, Nannie Belle Hughes of Knoxville; one brother, Gayland McCarley of Russellville; 15 grandchildren, Greta Marlow, Cara Flinn, Andrea Little, Theron Rowbotham, Kim Burnett, Klay Rowbotham, Clint Bacchus, Larra Bacchus, and Chris Bacchus, all of Hagarville, Tagert Rowbotham of St. Louis, Mo., Dayla Weisler and Kirk Bean, both of Russellville, Danna Fudge of Dover, Tyler Bean of Louisville, Ky., and Kane Rowbotham of Sedalia, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Hagarville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating.
Burial will be in Hagarville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Erik Simon

Erik Simon, 32, of Lamar died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Boxley.
He was a native of Kansas City, Kan., attended Cabin Creek Baptist Church, and was a truck driver for Curbow Inc., at Ratcliff and Tyson Foods at Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Linda Simon; two stepdaughters, Rena Stackley of Kansas City, Kan., and Andrea Arrieta of Lamar; one stepson, Tico Arrieta of Lamar; two sisters, Jenny Black and Natalie Wrigley, both of Kansas City, Kan.; one brother, John Simon of Norman, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ira Taylor officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers were Coy England, Eric Haulmark, Shawn Stathis, Chuck Curbow, Edgar Henson, and Jeremy Wood.

Gerald B. Adams

Gerald B. Adams, 81, of Ozark, brother of Stella Harmon of the Batson Community, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Ozark Nursing Home.
A native of Reeds Spring, Mo., he was a son of the late Thomas and Eva Jenkins Adams, a retired carpenter and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Ozark.
Survivors include his widow, Ruby Nichols Adams; one son, Wayne Adams of Pendleton, Ind.; one other sister, Lois Bounds of Woodford, Va.; one brother, Robert Adams of Anderson, Ind.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Faith Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Kerry England and Rev. Hank Weaver officiating.
Burial was at Mountain View cemetery near Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Adams, Ronnie Adams, Kenneth Sturdivant, Dwight Stepp, Greg Gortemiller and Donald Watson.
Honorary pallbearers were Milton Strong, Bobby Adams, H. B. Bowman, Delorn Cooper, Lee Brown, Rickey Bowman, Robbie Adams, Kenny Warden, and Dustin Gortemiller.

Larry Joe Kimbriel

Larry Joe Kimbriel, 52, of Oark died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Vollie and Hattie Ritchie Kimbriel, labor employee, and was preceded in death by one sister, Deloris Cummins of Oark; and two brothers, Gary Kimbriel (twin) and Mervin Kimbriel.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Aaron Kimbriel and Mike and Jean Ann Kimbriel, all of Clarksville; two sisters, Joyce Reynolds and Dorothy Criss, both of Oark; and three brothers, Melvin Kimbriel of Oark and Doy Kimbriel and Eddie Kimbriel, both of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Clayton Rylee officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Teddy Bohannon, Jacky Kimbriel, George Hampton, Glenn (Diddo) Stepp, Alfred West, and Steve Cummins.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.

Melissa Lynn Reynolds

Melissa Lynn Reynolds, 27, of Russellville died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was a native of Artesia, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Lynn Reynolds; one son, Austin Glade Reynolds of Russellville; parents, Roy L. and Patricia A. Yates of Russellville; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Paula and Ronald G. Latham of Dardanelle and Stephen Reynolds of Conyer, Ga.; three nephews, Steven, Justin, and Trent Latham; and several aunts, uncles and cousins of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Joe Yates officiating. Burial was in Moores Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gene Sax, Victor Loyd, Jamie Chesser, William Henderson, and Danny Duvall.

Rose Swain

Rose Swain, 105, of Hartman died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Lamar.
She was a Baptist, daughter of the late Alex and Mary Poland Marcotte, widow of Leslie Swain, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Gladys Larue; and one son, Richard Swain.
She is survived by four daughters, Hazel King of Clarksville, Marion Critchfield of Hartman, Rose Hurd of Chipley, Fla., and Dorothy Hicks of Charleston, N. H.; three sons, Clarence Swain of Walpole, N. H., Robert Kenney of Vernon, Vt., and John Swain of Spring Hill, Fla.; 31 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Old Walpole cemetery in Walpole, N. H.
Memorials may be made to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, P. O. Box 589, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Samuel Gibson

Samuel Gibson, 69, of Dover died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
A native of London, he was a Korean War Navy veteran, an employee of McDonald Douglas Missile and Space in Huntington Beach, Calif., for 37 years where he supervised the construction and assembly of the launch/retrieval arm of the Space Shuttle which remains in operation, a former member of the Russellville Kiwanis Club where he was voted Kiwanian of the year in 1992-93, and was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Gibson; and one sister, Lillian Koneski.
Survivors include his widow, Lois Gibson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Terry Oge of Russellville and Debra and Randall Slack of Conroe, Texas; one brother, Gary Gibson of Russellville; two sisters, Lorraine Lindquist of Norco, Calif., and Wanda Logan of Fredricksburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Roy Oge and Una Oge, both of Russellville, and Rachel Slack and Naomi Slack, both of Austin, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Shinn Funeral Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Randall Slack officiating. Burial was in McFadden cemetery at Dover.
Active pallbearers were Arnold Bowden, Otis Hibbard, Martin Revis, Jim Bentley, Bill Murdock, and Charlie Cravens.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Russellville Kiwanis Club, the Linker Mountain Fire Department, and the MARVA Board.

Velma Alston

Velma Alston, 88, of Ozark died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was born at Watalula to Thomas Jefferson and Joanne English Hobbs and was a Baptist.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Carson of Clarksville and Melba Mershon of Fort Smith; one son, Sonny Alston of Ozark; one brother, Carl Hobbs of Lindsey, Calif.; six grandchildren, Terry Carson, Pam Smith, Debbie Kremers, Jan Wilson, Martin Mershon and Donna Stewart; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pond Creek cemetery east of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Wallace G. Alston, Robert Jones, Vernon McDaniel, Porter Hillard, Jack Alston, and Bill Hudspeth.
The family will visit with friends the hour prior to the service.
