Maxine M. Boswell

Maxine M. Boswell, 68, of Floral, mother of Michael E. Boswell of Clarksville, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000.
She was a native of Pleasant Plains, daughter of the late Clarence and May Wood, widow of Samuel Boswell, and member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one other son, Dr. Clifford A. Boswell of Batesville, formerly of Clarksville; two brothers, Jerldean Wood of Floral and Lowell Wood of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Vera Gay and Avis Gay, both of Batesville, and Lola Reaper of Pangburn; and four grandchildren, Zachary, Micah, Jacob and Leah Boswell, all of Batesville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Union Grove cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob-Judsonia.

Goald Eugene Skaggs

Goald Eugene Skaggs, 87, of Hagarville died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000.
He was a son of the late James Tobb and Abbey Jane Edgmon Skaggs, retired sawmill employee and farmer, and was preceded in death by two sons, Argus F. Skaggs and Roy L. Skaggs; three sisters, Sarah Sherrill, Jewel Price, and Onva Burns; and five brothers, Roscoe Skaggs, Anderson Skaggs, Jim Skaggs, Charlie Skaggs, and Henry Skaggs.
Survivors include his widow, Audrey Estellene Morrison Skaggs; six daughters, Edra King of Jones-
ville, N. C., Geneva Morland and Robbin Clark, both of Lamar, Linda K. Clayborn of Clarksville, Debbie Bjorgum of Hagarville, and Donna Roddy of Barling; three sons, James Skaggs of Knoxville, Kenneth Skaggs of Wynne, and Chester Skaggs of Lamar; one sister, Pearl Beebe of Cornville, Ariz.; one brother, Olen Skaggs of Bella Vista; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Hagarville cemetery with Rev. Danny Knick officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Hilde I. Scheller

Hilde I. Scheller, 62, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at her home.
She was born in Germany, a daughter of the late Willie and Hegwig Huebner Hoffman, and member of Scranton Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Scheller of Clarksville and Han Scheller of Minnesota; and one sister, Edith Beck of Indiana.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Scranton Methodist Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Hard-
wicke Funeral Home. The body was cremated.

Janice V. Casey

Janice V. Casey, 61, of Clarksville died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was retired, a member of the Salus Free Holiness Church and Order of Eastern Star, and daughter of the late Norman Ned and Elease Voy Murray Henderson.
She is survived by three sisters, Sherry Boen, Pamela Terry and Kutrenia Turner, all of Ozone; one brother, Jay D. Henderson of Clarksville; and several nieces, nephews great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Salus Free Holiness Church with Rev. Robert Boen and Rev. Larry Willis officiating.
Burial will be in Wayton cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Jordan, Wesley Turner, Donnie Terry, Everett Turner, Mike Goni, and Terry Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Henderson, Jeff Carlton, Steven Carlton, Michael Carlton, and Jeremy Boen.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

John C. Rofkahr

John Conrad Rofkahr, 88, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at his home.
He was a son of the late John J. and Mary Ann Griggs Rofkahr, member of New Life Christian Center, a farmer, coal miner, factory employee, and was preceded in death by one sister, Cristine Richmond; and one brother, Lawrence Rofkahr.
Survivors include his widow, Laverne E. Garrett Rofkahr; one daughter, Jane Winsell Paramore of Clarksville; two sisters, Annie Dahlem and Marie Lingar, both of Hartman; two brothers, Frank Rofkahr and Clarence Rofkahr, both of Hartman; three grandchildren and spouses, Jon and Dona Winsell of New York City, N. Y., Kevin Winsell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kimberly (Winsell) and Robert Mullins of Claremore, Okla.; and four great-grandchildren, Julia Winsell of New York City, N. Y., and Grey Mullins, Grant Mullins, and Garrett Mullins, all of Claremore, Okla.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Dr. Jack E. Glaze officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jim Dahlem, Dane Lingar, Bill Rofkahr, Max Rofkahr, Michael Dahlem, Wayne Lingar, Bob Rofkahr, Ron Rofkahr, and Tom Rofkahr.
Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Auterson, Ron Harvey, Cecil Rhodes, Amsey Garrett, and Beryl Wolfson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and/or New Life Christian Center in Clarksville.

Michael C. Cleveland

Michael Christian Cleveland, 34, of Vallejo, Calif., a former resident of Johnson County, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000.
He was a self-employed auto dealer with Cleveland and Sons Auto Sales for the past ten years, a native of Downey, Calif., served in the U. S. Air Force, and was preceded in death by one brother, William Cleveland III.
Survivors include his parents, William and Kathryn Cleveland of Carson City, Nev.; grandparent, William J. Cline of Hemet, Calif.; great-grandparents, Samuel and Marjorie Stokes of Hemet, Calif.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cynthia and Scott Gemmett of San Jose, Calif., Jennifer Cleveland of Lamar, and Rebecca Cleveland of North Carolina; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Joan Cleveland of Vacaville, Calif., and Greg and Stephanie French of Kansas.
A private burial service will be held at Sunrise cemetery under the direction of Wiggins Knipp Funeral Home of Vallejo, Calif.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Ruby Mae Faulkner

Ruby Mae McGuire Faulkner, 89, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000.
She was a Baptist, daughter of the late George Walter and Florence Elizabeth Smith McGuire, and widow of Morris Faulkner.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and June Faulkner of Clarksville and Gary and Cheryl Faulkner of Hayward, Calif.; two sisters, Alean Gross of Clarksville and Lavone Marcurm of Des Arc; one brother, Carrol McGuire of Des Arc; one grandson, Mark Faulkner of Hayward, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Sam Howell and Rev. Mike Sawyer officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Grissard cemetery at El Paso.

Robert E. Syfert

Robert E. Syfert, 58, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.
A native of Russellville, he was a son of the late Leon and Eddith Parrish Syfert, 1960 graduate of Russellville High School, retired owner and operator of Syfert Oil Company for 16 years, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Fort Smith Consistory Club, First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years prior to retirement, Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 9, and the Johnson County Boys Club Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Hayley Syfert; and one brother, David Syfert.
Survivors include his widow, Barbara Shepherd Syfert; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Mike Young of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Johna Syfert of Clarksville; one sister, Linda Lawrence of Melbourne; one brother, Gary Syfert; four grandchildren, Tara and Blake Young and Saylor and Hunter Syfert, all of Clarksville; several nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Alma Leach of Pine Bluff.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Pyron, Larry Griffin, Mina Teal, James Jaggers, Donnie Anderson, Bill Stewart, Floyd Pledger, and Larry Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were members and retired members of the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department.
Memorials may be made to the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1400 West Cherry Street, Clarksville, AR 72830.
