Beatrice Robertson

Beatrice Robertson, 78, of Carmichael, Calif., formerly of Hartman, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, in Carmichael, Calif.
A native of Ozark, she was a daughter of the late William and Vinnie Clare Edgitt McCartney, and widow of Clarence Robertson.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Onita Robertson of Sparks, Nev.; two grandchildren, Clint Robertson and Stan Robertson, both of Reno, Nev.; and great-grandchildren, Brexton Robertson and Kailin Robertson, both of Reno, Nev.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randall Ray officiating. Burial was in Kendall cemetery.
Pallbearers were Benny Hardgrave, Ben Alfred Hardgrave, Tommy Foster, and Guy Foster.

Clennon S. Dillaha

Clennon Sherwin Dillaha, 76, of Jacksonville, father of Kerry Lunn of Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at his home.
He was retired from the military where he was a Navy World War II and Air Force veteran, retired civil service employee, member of the First Baptist Church of Greenbrier, and was born in Sallisaw, Okla., to William Arvil and Pearl Leona Reynolds Dillaha.
Survivors include his widow, Ruth Martin Dillaha; three other daughters, Diane Kemple and Sherry Madden, both of Jacksonville, and Mary Hale of Mena; one son, George Dillaha of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Betty Welsh of Mary Esther, Fla.; one brother, William Dillaha of Naples, N. C.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Bill Clites officiating. Burial will be in East Shady cemetery in Greenbrier.
Active pallbearers will be Zack Hale, Josh Hale, Christopher Dillaha, Michael Lunn, Kenley Rands, Mickey Cole and Sam Pharr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Guerreau, Patrick Guerreau, Tommy Cole, and Justin Lunn.

Clinton Wayne Smith

Clinton Wayne Smith, 72, of Lamar died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at his home.
He was retired, a Boy Scout leader, Methodist, and son of the late Wallace Hale and Aurelia Merrill Smith.
Survivors include his widow, Althea L. Lundgren Smith; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Dorsett of Rogers and Karen Diane Smith of Salem, Mo.; one son, Gordon Wayne Smith of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Brandon Smith and Racheal and Anna Sullivan.
The body was donated to medical sciences.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Delphia Boen

Delphia Boen, 88, of Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in Kansas City, Mo.
She was a former resident of Johnson County, daughter of the late George and Nancy Stone Davis, widow of Earl Boen, and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Wayne Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., and Joy and Harold Scrivner of Paris; one son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Norma Boen of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Ola Mae Hill of Springdale; one brother, Frankie Davis of Springdale; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Wylie Davis and Paul Hill officiating. Burial was in Yale cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Stephen Boen, Bill Farrar, Rick Creach, Lance Creach, Randy Boen, Joe Farrar, and Nick Macaluso.
Honorary pallbearers were George Wayne Stewart, T. L. Hill, Billy Joe Davis, Jerry Hill, Terry Littrell, and Tim James.

Genaro Torres

Genaro Torres, 43, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000.
A native of Durengo, Mexico, he was a son of the late Elemente and Rosa Quinones Torres, member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and owner of LaEstrellita Grocery Store in Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Esperanza Torres; two daughters, Marine Lozano and Anacaren Torres, both of Clarksville; one son, Genaro Torres Jr. of Clarksville; and three brothers, Jose A. Torres of Ozark and Armando Torres and Enrique Torres, both of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Wewers, O.S.B., officiating. Burial was in Holy Redeemer Catholic cemetery.

Imalee Madewell

Imalee Madewell, 71, of Lamar died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Shatwell; and one brother, Ray Shatwell.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Madewell; two daughters, Geraldine Madewell of Lamar and Karen Patterson of Clarksville; mother, Ora Shatwell of Clarksville; three sisters, Emogene White of Lamar and Marie Lindsey and Linda Cowell, both of Clarksville; six brothers, Delmar Shatwell of Lamar, Kenneth Shatwell, Freddie Shatwell, and Dean Shatwell, all of Clarksville, Redell Shatwell of Knoxville, and Leroy Shatwell of Independence, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Valerie Patterson and April Patterson, both of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Holman Baptist Church with Rev. Clymoth Madewell and Rev. Kenneth Madewell officiating.
Burial will be in Holman cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel.

Joseph Park Marcum

Joseph (Jody) Park Marcum, 26, of Little Rock, grandson of Tom and Lucy Park of Perryville, formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at his home.
He was a native of Little Rock, graduate of Kansas City Academy of Learning and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he studied astronomy and physics which led to an assignment at the University of Tucson and related observatories including Steward and Kitt Peak. He had served as a volunteer with Earth Watch in the Brazilian Forest and was also a founding member of the Academy of Youth Theatre Artists in Kansas City where his work included the building of a community theatre. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Arthur Marcum; and paternal grandfather, Virgil Harold Marcum of Nimrod.
Other than his maternal grandparents, he is survived by his mother, Sharon Park Marcum of Little Rock; one sister, Shannon Marcum of Little Rock; paternal grandmother, Donna Lee Marcum of Nimrod; stepmother, Vickie Hooker of Pine Bluff; uncles and aunts, Tommy and Debbie Park of Heber Springs, John and Cindy Hopper of Perryville, Iona and Jim Young of Fort Smith, and Danny Marcum of Nimrod; cousins, Kristie and Gretchen Weiss of Little Rock, Hannah Park of Heber Springs, Brooke Hopper of Perryville, John Young and Donna Ruth Dutton, both of Fort Smith, Stephen Young of Wyoming, and Sarah Marcum Sutherland of Conway.
Local survivors include great-uncles and aunts, Bill and Ann Park, Bob and Betty Park, and Henry and JoAnn Walton, all of Clarksville; and cousin, Gretchen Park Gilbert of Clarksville.
A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at the United Methodist Church in Perryville.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or the environmental organization of the donor's choice.

James S. Wohlford

James S. Wohlford, 43, of Scranton died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Memphis, Tenn.
He was a mechanic and a member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include his widow, Robin Wohlford; three daughters, Jenna Wohlford of Bethel, Calif., and Nicole Connor and Clarissa Connor, both of the home; parents, Richard L. Wohlford and L. Janet Crozier; and one sister, Kathryn Ryan of San Jose, Calif.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Roller-Cox Chapel with private burial.
Memorials may be made to the James S. Wohlford Fund, P. O. Box 348, Clarksville, AR 72830 or the charity of the donor's choice.

L. D. Bales

L. D. Bales of Destin, Fla., formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000.
He was a son of the late Jesse H. Bales, served in the U. S. Air Force and retired from Rockwell Inc., of California.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Bellar of Tacoma, Wash.; three sons, David Bales of Seagrove Beach, Fla., Greg Bales of Panaman City Beach, Fla., and Larry Bales of Tacoma, Wash.; mother, Ocie Walter of Clarksville; one sister, Thelma Clark of Clarksville; one half-sister, Golden Christian of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 15, in Destin, Fla. Burial was Monday, Sept. 18, at East Mt. Zion cemetery.
