Mrs. Mary E. Parsons

Mrs. Mary Emma Parsons, 70, of Lamar died Monday, June 26, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of the Lamar Assembly of God Church, daughter of the late Lee C. and Myrtle Anthony Nordin, and was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Keith Parson; one sister, Mildred Kirkpatrick; and one brother, Rev. R. L. Nordin.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. T. Edward Parsons; three daughters, Susan Graves and Rebecca Stoker, both of Lamar, and Sharon Hogue of Clarksville; three sons, Tommy Parsons, Donald Parsons, and Gary Parsons, all of Lamar; two sisters, Betty Caudell of Dardanelle and Iva Lou Eddings of Springdale; one half-sister, Carolyn Cossey of Dover; three brothers, Harold Nordin, David Nordin, and Rev. Euel Nordin, all of Dardanelle; one half-brother, Bobby Nordin of Branson, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Lamar Assembly of God Church with Rev. Don Nordin officiating.
Burial will be in the Hickey cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Birdsong, Tim Goodman, Barry Grissom, Bud Masterson, Dan Duff, and Raymond Hogue.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Holt, Bob Holt, Jeff Holt, and Kyle Holt.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

William S. Lewis

William Seaborn Lewis, 75, of Tulsa, Okla., died June 19, 2000, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late William S. and Jewel Carter Lewis, attended Clarksville Schools having graduated in 1942, a World War II veteran having served two and one-half years in the Navy, a retired employee of American Airlines after 32 years of service as a mechanic, and a member of Rose Hill Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Virginia Crowley Lewis; one daughter, Judy Elizabeth Lewis; one brother, Douglas R. Lewis; one brother-in-law, Art Crowley; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Blackard Crowley and Eloise Crowley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Oliver-Whisenhunt Funeral Services Chapel with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Tulsa, Okla.

Charles H. Ritchie

Charles H. Ritchie, 64, of Clarksville died Thursday, June 1, 2000.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator, son of the late Toy and Ethie Ward Ritchie, and was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Sullivan; and two brothers, Argus Ritchie and Ray Ritchie.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bobbie Jo Mickey Ritchie; two daughters, Sandy L. Tarwater and Bonnie L. Hopkins, both of Clarksville; three sons, Lonnie Ray Ritchie of Paso Robles, Calif., Timothy G. Ritchie of Los Angeles, Calif., and Billy J. Ritchie of Clarksville; three sisters, Laverne Ellsberry of Paso Robles, Calif., Evallyn Castillio of Boise, Idaho, and Thelma Arbaugh of Clarksville; six brothers, Theodore Ritchie of Hartman, Robert Ritchie of Paso Robles, Calif., Fred Ritchie and Kellawain Ritchie, both of Clarksville, Kenneth Ritchie of Bakersfield, Calif., and Lonnie Ritchie of Lewiston, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Lone Pine cemetery with Robert Johnson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Steven Arbaugh, Mike Arbaugh, Bobby Ritchie, Ronnie Ritchie, Boyd Arbaugh, and Doyle Arbaugh.

Duane Edward Leding

Duane Edward Leding, 42, of Ozark, brother of Martin Leding of Hartman, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in Ozark.
A native of Ozark, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, and owner and operator of Anderson Heating and Air Conditioning Company in Ozark.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth of Altus; parents, Richard and Geraldine Rofkahr Leding of Altus; three sisters, Judy Helmert and Roberta Dorrough, both of Ozark, and Janice West of Altus; and three other brothers, Rickey Don Leding and Albert Leding, both of Altus, and David Leding of Yukon, Okla.
A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark. Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Father Hilary Filiatreau, O.S.B. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
Active pallbearers were cousins, Kenneth Leding, Larry Leding, Bill Leding, Mark Leding, Mike Leding, and Jim Rofkahr.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Flegel, John Elser, Herb Holloway, Chris Eveld, Kevin Eveld, Phillip Duncan, Kale Rudolph and Brian Owens.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Education Fund, 5118 St. Mary's Lane, Altus, AR 72821.

Hithia Hartsel Blaylock

Hithia Hartsel Blaylock, 87, of Hunt died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a retired coal miner, son of the late William R. and Mollie Poteet Blaylock, and a Methodist.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pearl Mooney Blaylock; three daughters and sons-in-law, Eurena and L. D. Holland and Mereta (Evans) and Alonzo Mefford, all of Hartman, and Madeline and James Morris of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, June 5, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Sally Ladd officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ryan Maxwell, Mike Morris, Gerry Demaray, Terry Evans, Mac Everett Turner, and Dennis Morris.
Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Foster, Owen Marler, Wayne Turner, L. D. Holland, James Morris, Lonzo Mefford, Clark James, Keith Evans, Brian Evans, and Kevin Sparks.

Mrs. Judy Kay Bauer

Mrs. Judy Kay Bauer, 59, of Russellville died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Clarksville Retirement Center.
She was a native of Indianapolis, Ind., daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Carter Woodruff, and a Protestant.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and D. H. Pellham of Dover; two grandsons, Chad Pellham and Cannon Pellham, both of Dover; two sisters, Carole Woodruff of Lamar and Julia Walters of New Palestine, Ind.; great-uncle, Charles A. Carter and wife, Betty, of Elkhart, Ind.; one niece, Linda McElhiney of Mooresville, Ind.; one nephew, John Walters of Fairland, Ind.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, June, 2, at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jesse B. Rye officiating. Burial was in Pollard cemetery at Dover.
Pallbearers were Brandon Pellham, Glen Rye, and Bobby Joe Wilkins.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Russellville.

Robert C. Zimmer

Robert C. Zimmer, 55, of Dardanelle, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Arkansas Heart Hospital at Little Rock.
A native of Paris, he was a son of the late Clem and Elizabeth Rotert Zimmer, a retired machinist at Southwest Centerless Grinding at Centerville, member of the Dardanelle Volunteer Fire Department for many years, the Dardanelle VFW Post No. 3141, and St. Augustine Catholic Church of Dardanelle, U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Barnett Zimmer; and one stepson, Gregory K. Bradley.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kathy Gray Zimmer; one son, Robert Wayne Zimmer of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tim Tharp of London; five grandchildren, Justin Bradley and Brittney Bradley, both of Clarksville and Chelsie Tharp, Timothy Tharp and Gordon Tharp, all of London; two step grandchildren, Brad England and Josh England, both of Clarksville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mar-tha Zimmer of Paris and Harold and Carolyn Zimmer of Dardanelle; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Cletus Geels of Morrison Bluff and Barbara Standridge of London; two daughters-in-law, Belinda Bradley of London and Sherri England and husband, Greg, of Clarksville; father-in-law, Elvin Virl Bradley and wife, Virginia, of Dover; and mother-in-law, Ila Grace Barnett of Paris.
Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with Rev. David Zeiler and Rev. C. R. Young officiating. Burial was in Brearley cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Childress, Brian Whitson, Jim Hodges, Jim Millard, Sidney Ward, and Lee Broadstock.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Dardanelle VFW Post No. 3141.

Mrs. Virgie B. Thornton

Mrs. Virgie Belle Thornton, 84, of Clarksville died Thursday, June 2, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Sidney M. and Dora E. Cowan Vaught, widow of Cyril W. Thornton, and a Baptist.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Thornton of Clarksville; one son, Wayne Thornton of Clarksville; three sisters, Alma Gill of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lois O'Kelly and Lillie Lea Long of Bell Gardens, Calif.; one brother, Dub Vaught of Clarksville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.
Active pallbearers were J. T. Chesser, Jesse Donaldson, Wendell Lee, Wayne Vaught, Mike Cox, and Robert Vaught.
Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Bauman, Betty Bauman, Mary Frances Glass, Carla Donaldson, Maxine Chesser, Pam Cox, and Margaret Vaught.
