Kevin Patrick Crook

Kevin Patrick Crook, 36, of College Station, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001.
He was a native of Little Rock, graduate of Vilonia High School and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, member of Central Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas, and employed as division manager of production for Sanderson Farms.
Survivors include his widow, Paula A. Holt Crook, a former resident of Lamar; two sons, Robert Paul (Bobby) Crook and Benjamin Patrick Crook, both of the home; parents, Bob and Minerva Crook of Vilonia; one sister, Gay Leifer of West Helena; and grandparents, Polly Merrifield and Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Crook, all of Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway with Rev. Joe Engdahl officiating. Burial will be in Vilonia cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Lerah L. Alderson

Lerah Lois Alderson, 73, of Lamar died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Glover and Adelia Anna Loedige Holman, Baptist, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Alderson; two sons, Gene Alderson and Ronnie Alderson; and one brother, Frankie Holman.
Survivors include her husband, James (Son) Alderson; one daugh-
ter, Cheryl Cummins of Clarksville; one sister, Lillian Keith; one brother, Gayland Holman of Lamar; two grandchildren, Lori Dunson of Russellville and Justin Nowotny of Greenbrier; and one great-grandchildren, Austen Basham.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in the Holman cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rick Holman, Larry Holman, William Holman, Jerry Holman, Ronnie Holman, and Timmy Holman.

Lisa Y. Weisenfels

Lisa Yvonne Weisenfels, 36, of Scranton died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, in Fort Smith from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Morrison Bluff, St. Ann's Altar Society, and Scranton PTO, leader of the Scranton 4-H Club, vice president of GT Parents Club, restaurant cook, daughter of the late Richard Allen Adams, and was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Verlie Bales.
Survivors include her husband, Adrain J. Weisenfels; one daughter, Rosa Adams of the home; two sons, Jamie Quarrels and Brandon Quarrels, both of Athens, Ala.; mother, Betty Ruth Lowe of Scranton; and two brothers, Guy Adams of San Diego, Calif., and Glen Adams of Seagoville, Texas.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Peter and Paul cemetery at Morrison Bluff. Servers were Brandon Schluterman, Mitch Wewers, and Jason Frederick. Eucharistic ministers were Mike Frederick, Ruth Beshoner, and Maggie Kleck. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Active pallbearers were John Schluterman, Carl Stehle, Junior Schluterman, Bobby Siebenmorgen, Paul Dean, Craig Harrison, Francis Raible, and Danny Eckelhoff.
Honorary pallbearers were co-workers and friends from Porky's.

Dorothy Sue Brown

Dorothy Sue Brown, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Perkin and Susie Mae Rhodes Wilson, graduate of the Steven F. Austin College in Nacogdoches, Texas, retired school teacher, and member of the Living Church of God in Russellville.
She is survived by brother and sisters-in-law, Billy Barron and Bobbie Wilson of Cleveland, Texas, and Betsy Coody of Texas.
A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Living Church of God in Russellville with Rev. Davy Crockett officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Eva I. Combs

Eva Irene Killgore Combs, 67, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired truck driver, Methodist, daughter of the late Jesse and Viola V. Graham Killgore, widow of James O. (Jim) Combs, and was preceded in death by one son, James Paul Combs; one sister, Cathy Lee; and three brothers, Jay R. Killgore, Harold Killgore, and Lemuel Killgore.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karron and Clifford Herbst of Subiaco and Sherry and Mike Loch of Kimball, Minn.; three sons, Leonard Combs of Clarksville, Frederick Combs of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Warren Combs of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Elsie Mae Hernandez of Loveland, Colo., and Coye Nettles of Stilwell, Okla.; one brother, Jesse Leonard Killgore of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Wares Chapel cemetery at Scranton.
Active pallbearers were Fred Combs, Christopher Nettles, Chris Combs, Steve Combs, Roger Combs, and Donald Lee.

John G. Kremers

John G. Kremers, 88, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Prairie View, he was a son of the late John and Magdalen Anhalt Kremers, retired coal miner, member of the United Mine Workers and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, a graduate of Subiaco Academy and attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville where he played football for both schools.
Survivors include his widow, Dorothy Hilton Kremers; one daughter, Mary Pleva of Clarksville; two sons, Joe Kremers and Tom Kremers, both of Clarksville; two sisters, Elizabeth Schneider of Fort Smith and Theresa Etzkorn of Subiaco; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. William Wewers, OSB, officiating. Burial was in Holy Redeemer Catholic cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Paul Kremers, Larry Pleva, Eric Kremers, Nick Kremers, Kent Kremers, and Keith Kremers.

Mary Frances Bible

Mary Frances Bible, 43, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Frank E. Farris, member of the First Baptist Church, graduate of the University of the Ozarks with a bachelor of science degree, graduate of Webster University with a master of business administration degree, and a college professor having taught at the University of the Ozarks, Webster University and Westark College in Fort Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Bible; one daughter, Lesley Bible of Clarksville; one son, Colin Bible of Fayetteville; mother, Opal Huff Farris Cox; and one sister, Anna Campbell of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Cherry Street First Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Holland and Rev. Billy Usery officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Leon Holt, Stan Einert, Clinton Holland, Sid Hicks, Robert Wofford, Kenneth Herron, Todd Joyner, and Dewayne Over.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Sophia Boles

Sophia Boles, 89, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital.
A native of Austria, she came to America in 1914, was a daughter of the late John and Bozena Bock and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Neil Boles; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill H. and Joe Ann Bock of Pine Bluff; one brother, John E. Bock of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Kellie Bock Cohen and husband, Jeff; Kim Bock Buck, Kraig Bock, and Kirk Bock and wife, Lillian; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Buck, Garrett and Caroline Bock and Katie Cohen.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with burial in Holy Redeemer Catholic cemetery at Clarksville with Monsignor John O'Donnell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Marion Glover, David Mazzanti, Roger Atkins, Mark Jelks, Bill Groves, and Cliff Benedict.
Memorials may be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 103 East Main, Clarksville, AR 72830.
