Billy C. Wade

Billy C. (Bill) Wade, 79, of Scranton died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Scranton.
He was employed by Area Agency on Aging, member of the United Methodist Church in Scranton and was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 378 in Paris.
Survivors include his widow, Sidola Jones Wade; three sons, Brock Wade of Fort Smith, Bruce Jones of Derby, Kan., and Jackie Jones of Bixby, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial in the Coop Prairie cemetery at Mansfield.
Active pallbearers were Neal Wade, Jackie Jones, Lance Jones, Johnnie Blamey, Tracey Pearce, and Jervis Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Masonic Lodge No. 378.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church, 112 S. 12th St., Scranton, AR 72863.

Cecilia Ann French

Cecilia Ann French, 55, of Russellville died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Hot Springs National Park Hospital.
She was a nurse, daughter of the late Lawrence A. Bright and Anna L. Rogers, and affiliated with the Nazarene Church.
Survivors are her husband, Michael (Mickey) French; two daughters, Dana Stone of Noblesville, Ind., and Kim Chavez of Russellville; two sons, Joseph Robbins of Noblesville, Ind., and Micah French of Russellville; one sister, Dawn Miller of Pascagoula, Miss.; one brother, Lawrence Bright of Indianapolis, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial were at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Crestlawn cemetery in Conway with Pastor Ken Carney officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Joseph Robbins, Jim Miller, James Gray, Danny Housley, Micah French, and Brian Stone.

Jessie Wayne Spencer

Jessie Wayne Spencer, 89, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his home.
He was a son of the late James Thomas and Mary Arzella Barr Spencer, Baptist, retired from Hiran-Walker Company, saw filer, and was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Thomas Spencer.
He is survived by one daughter, Dean Grissom of Knoxville; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Beverly Spencer of Dardanelle; one sister, Mary Edgmon of Jasper; one brother, Jim Spencer of Rogers; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Mossville Church with Rev. Bobby Young officiating.
Burial will be in Mossville cemetery in Newton County under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Steven Willis, Brad Rocole, Jeff Noyes, Ernest Ward, Barry Grissom, Kevin Reynolds, and Dennis Rocole.

Joseph Vozel

Joseph Vozel, 81, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was a native of Jenny Lind, member of Saints Mary and Sabina Catholic Church in Jenny Lind, retired farmer, 60-year member of SNPJ, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Vince and Bill Vozel; and one sister, Jessie Walters.
He is survived by ten nieces and nephews.
Rosary was at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. William Wewers, O.S.B., officiating. Burial was in Calvary Catholic cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Jack Walters, Jim Walters, Micky Patterson, John Vozel, Frank Vozel, and Brad Brown.

Kenneth T. Wallis

Kenneth Tracy Wallis, 45, of Fort Smith, brother of Donna Garrison and Julie Parker, both of Coal Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001.
He was employed as a forklift operator by Braden Inc.
Other survivors include two daughters, Tracy Wallis of Auburn, Calif., and Autumn Wallis of Oregon; mother, June Peters of La Puente, Calif.; and three brothers, Terry of Oroville, Calif., Tom of Fontana, Calif., and George of Oceanside, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.

Neva L. Reynolds

Neva Lavern Hodges Reynolds, 83, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at her home.
She was a member of the Clarksville Church of Christ, daughter of the late John Wesley and Winnie Elizabeth Bean Hodges, 10-year owner and operator of Gran and Neva's Grocery Store at Lamar, superintendent of Sallis School Cafeteria for 19 years, Johnson County Deputy Tax Assessor for 10 years, and a retired Clarksville Footwear Employee.
Survivors include her husband, Gran M. Reynolds; two daughters, Winnie McReynolds and Karen Johnson, both of Clarksville; one sister, Lucille Faucett of Everette, Wash.; four grandchildren, Roy Slocum Jr. of Branson, Mo., David Slocum of Shreveport, La., and Craig Parks and Kim Shook, both of Clarksville; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Mike Eppinette officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Roy Slocum Jr., Craig Parks, Norman Reynolds, Harold Johnson, David Slocum, and Lloyd Reynolds.

Ronald D. Broomfield

Ronald Don Broomfield, 49, of Benton, formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Saline Memorial Hospital.
He was a son of the late George E. and Annie Lorene Harris Broomfield and was preceded in death by one sister, Joann Taylor.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, George B. and Mary Broomfield of Little Rock and Gary W. and Leta Broomfield of Meadview, Ariz.; and two uncles and one aunt, Clarence and Joyce Lewis and H. E. Harvey, all of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Lewis, Mathew Thomasson, John Lewis, Ben Harris, and Vernon Harris.

Robert James King

Robert James King, 54, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at his home.
A native of Portsmouth, Va., he was a graduate of Clarksville High School, where he was a member of the band, veteran of the Vietnam War, and was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Smith King.
Survivors include his father, Paul King of Clarksville; four sisters, Paula Norwood of Princeton, N. J., Margie King of Fairfield, Calif., Diane Gist of Sobrante, Calif., and Betty Buginas of El Cerrito, Calif.; and one brother, John Alfred King of Vallejo, Calif.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chris Rink officiating. The body was cremated.

Dwaine B. Johnson

Dwaine B. Johnson, 67, of Clarksville died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Spadra, son of the late Homer and Erie Freeman Johnson, 1953 graduate of Lamar High School, Navy veteran, attended First Baptist Church, and past president and member of Johnson County Peach Festival Board and Association.
Survivors include his widow, Catharine Standen Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Hotsenpiller of Lowell; one son, Darel Johnson of Clarksville; one sister, Velma Whitbey of Russellville; one brother, James Johnson of Tulsa, Okla.; one step grandson, Matthew Hotsenpiller of Springdale; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Seth Arnold, Norman Reynolds, Vaughnon Freeman, James Freeman, Don Bridges, and Alex Choate.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 525, Clarksville, AR 72830.
