Conrad U. Stouffer, 79, of Coal Hill died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a native of Hartman, son of the late David Wesley and Eleanor Pick Stouffer, Navy veteran of World War II, and member of the Hays Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Joe K. Stouffer of Butler, Mo.; one sister, Phyllis Barger of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Marce Stouffer of Chino Hills, Calif., Aaron Stouffer of Abilene, Texas, and David Stouffer of Rogers; and one great-grandchild, Gabriel Conrad Stouffer of Abilene, Texas.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at Hays Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in West Mount Zion cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Glen L. Yeager
Glen L. Yeager, 82, of Tulsa, Okla., died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Parks Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Tulsa, Okla.
He was a native of Johnson County, son of the late Vester and Pairlee Tipton Yeager, preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Hudson Yeager, World War II Air Force veteran, member of Hays Chapel United Methodist Church, American Legion Bunch Walton Post No. 22, Franklin Lodge No. 9, Fort Smith Consistory and the University of the Ozarks Booster Club, Clarksville chief of police in the early 1960s and retired as a data processor with the Arkansas State Police after 28 years.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Pauline Yeager and Gene and Barbara Yeager, all of Tulsa, Okla.; and three nephews, Kevin Yeager of Longview, Texas, Kendall Yeager of Tulsa, Okla., and Stephen Yeager of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Phillips, Charles Callahan, Wendell Self, Bill Coats, Bobby Cooper, and Joe Carter.

Lawrence Winterbottom
Lawrence Winterbottom, 54, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, May 14, 2004, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La.
He was a native and resident of Lake Charles, La., graduate of Lake Charles High School, attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., and recipient of the Purple Heart during the Vietnam War where he served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his widow, Linda Faye Fontenot Winterbottom; one son, Jason W. Winterbottom of Lake Charles, La.; one daughter, Kelly Ann Winterbottom of Lake Charles, La.; one stepdaughter, Tammy F. Yarbrough of Clarksville; one stepson, Ray A. Barger Jr. of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Brooke Yarbrough and Job R. L. Yarbrough; and three brothers, Erric V. Wilkerson of Lake Charles, La., Walter Winterbottom III of New Orleans, La., and Tim Winterbottom of Sulphur, La.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, May 17, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, La., with Dr. David Dewitt officiating. Burial was in Benoit cemetery in Lake Charles, La.
Miriam Hope Amos
Miriam Hope Amos, 63, of Hagarville died Friday, May 21, 2004, at her home.
A native of Burley, Idaho, she was a graduate of Freemont High School in Freemont, Neb., pianist and organist for several churches during the past 30 years and presently at Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Clarksville where she was a member. She was active in Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and Good News Club work, and a supporter of the Pregnancy Help Center.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Glen Amos; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Larry Peterson of Russellville and Gina and Jason Remer of Fairfax, Va.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Glen (Jack) Amos of Hagarville and Michael David and Kristen Amos of Hanover, Md.; parents, Dwight R. and Edith Pauline Humbert Droz of Poulsbo, Wash.; one sister, Deanna Thome of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Dennis Droz of Bothell, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Owens officiating.
Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Virgie Jane Mills
Virgie Jane Mills, 91, of Clarksville died Friday, May 21, 2004, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, daughter of the late Sam Brady and Alvira Willison Rosell, widow of Linneus E. Mills, and was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Alline Wheeler of Paragould and Pauline Ballard of Clarksville; one son, Leon Mills of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with David Coats officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at 4 p.m. at Kansas cemetery in Kansas, Okla. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Galen Ballard, Brett Ballard, Kyle Green, Gary Ballard, Dennis Hanes, and Mike Brown.
Zachary Lee Boswell
Zachary Lee Boswell, 2, of Altus, brother of Chelsie Boswell of Coal Hill, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
He was born Jan. 1, 2002, at Clarksville and was the son of Jeremy Boswell of Berryville and Jennifer Parrish of Ozark.
Other survivors include his custodial grandparents, W. H. and Becky Boswell of Altus; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Cheryl Parrish of Ozark; paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Lavonia Graham of Waterloo, Iowa; and maternal great-grandparents, Henry and Inez Parrish of Ozark.
He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandmother, Peggy Russell of Ozark and paternal great-grandfather, William Boswell Sr. of Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Kendrick officiating. Burial was in Nichols Chapel cemetery at Altus.
Pallbearers were Jeremy and Scott Boswell, Joe Nichols and Jason Holman.
Anthony Taylor
Anthony (Nick) Taylor, 48, of Little Rock, a native of Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004.
He was a North Little Rock office manager and an ABC certified technician with The Snell Prosthetic and Orthotic Laboratory.
Survivors are his widow, Shay Taylor; parents, Howard and Dorcas Middleton Taylor of North Little Rock; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy Taylor of Little Rock, and Chris and Lisa Taylor and Jason and Kristen Taylor, all of Sherwood; one stepdaughter, Dawna Felton of Little Rock; one brother, Dale Taylor of Little Rock; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Rice officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at 2 p.m. at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Vernon Long officiating.

Beulah Tumbleson
Beulah Tumbleson, 91, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Mo.
She was a native of Hagarville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elihu (Bethany McAlister) Jones Sr., widow of Victor Tumbleson, moved to Missouri in 1942 and then to Essex in 1967 and was a member of the Taylor General Baptist Church near Essex, Mo. She was preceded in death by two sons, Burl A. and Bill Tumbleson; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Tumbleson of Sikeston, Mo., Howard Ray Tumbleson of Albuquerque, N. M.; one daughter, Sharon Null of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ira Jones and Elihu Jones Jr., both of Clarksville; three sisters, Eula Owen of Lamar, Iva Rushing of Clarksville and Earlene Davis of Russellville.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Mountain Home Freewill Baptist Church near Lamar. Burial was in the Minnow Creek cemetery under the direction of Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo.
Geraldine H. Fisher
Geraldine Houston Fisher, 80, of Oak Harbor, Wash., died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville, Wash.
A native of Hartman, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson Davis and Pearl Mae Wooden Houston, widow of George Ernest Fisher, former employee of a Van Buren furniture manufacturing plant, member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Auxiliary, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Edith Leilani Fisher; and two brothers, J. D. and Paul Odell.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Timothy Ninneman of Kent, Wash., and Ruth and George Alexander of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two brothers, Alva Houston and Maxie Don Houston, both of Fort Smith; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at West Mount Zion cemetery near Hartman with Rev. William Wewers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Kevin Dean Case
Kevin Dean Case, 42, of Charlottesville, Va., formerly of Fallsville, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the University Medical Center in Virginia.
He was a self-employed carpenter and son of the late Eldean Timms Case.
Survivors include two daughters, Katy Qualls of Clarksville and Samantha Muller of San Antonio, Texas; father, Dean Case of Catalpa; four sisters, Missy Bridges and Michelle Case, both of Clarksville, and Carla Burns and Debra Kame, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Travis Timms of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Mikaela Qualls and Joshua Qualls, both of Clarksville, and Kristen Muller of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at the Oark Community Church. Burial will be in Oark cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stepp, Odell Boen, Roger Bridges, Cory Bridges, Carl Easley, and Terry Stewart.
