Michael A. Rail

Michael Anderson Rail, 45, of Bentonville died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville but had resided in Benton County since 1962, member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville, where he was an elder, and 25-year employee of Wal-Mart.
Survivors include his widow, Lisa Ellen Moudy Rail; two daughters, Dristin Noelle Rail and Ashton Nicole Rail, both of the home; parents, William A. and Maxine Rail of Rogers, formerly of Clarksville; one sister, Sue Ellen Rail Wilkerson of Little Rock; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Shirley Moudy of Dardanelle.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville with Pastor William Henning officiating.
Memorials may be made to Michael Rail Memorial Fund for cancer research, c/o of an Arvest Bank in Arkansas.

Norried J. Lee

Norried J. Lee, 84, of Dover died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at his home.
He was a retired farmer, school bus driver, member of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church and the Masonic Lodge, son of the late Homer and Erma Shuffield Lee, and was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lee.
Survivors are his widow, Velma Hardcastle Lee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie and Melvin Robinson of Hot Springs and Monna and Marc Stiles of Little Rock; one brother, Homer Lee of Russellville; seven grandchildren, Hunter Botts of Louisiana, Michael Lee, Jeff Lee and Sonya Gallegos, all of California, and Stephanie Clark, Melissa Stiles and Mike Stiles, all of Arkansas; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Dewayne Holland officiating.
Burial was in Annie's Chapel cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Hunter Botts, Michael Lee, Michael Clarke, Steve Smith, Mike Stiles, Jeff Lee, and Lyndon Lee.
Honorary pallbearers were Sherman Payne, Lester English, Don Freeman, John Pritchard, Paul Pledger, and the nursing staff of the River Valley Kidney Center.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.

Wayne E. Houston

Wayne Eugene Houston, 75, of Altus died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired farmer, son of the late Cabot and Grace Carlton Houston, and Baptist.
Survivors are his widow, Alice Jane Martin Houston; two sons, Don Houston of Coal Hill and Douglas Houston of Cincinnati; one sister, Mary Brasel of Elm Springs; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Richard Mayes, Bill Meeler, Glen Bartlett, Johnny Mayes, Allan Jones, and Don Horn.
Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Houston, Jason Houston, Ray Houston, Larry Sisk and Cecil Zolliecoffer.

Artie Elkins

Artie Elkins, 87, of Clarksville died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, in Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late Dwight and Orda Dake Kendall, widow of Roland Elkins, retired employee of Clarksville Footwear, and member of Harmony Presbyterian Church and Women's Association and past elder of the church.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Kenney and Janet Elkins of Clarksville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Argie Kendall of Clarksville and Orlie and Jeanette Kendall of Tulsa, Okla.; two other sisters-in-law, Ruby Coffee and Bea Elkins, both of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Renae Elkins of Bentonville and Ryan Elkins and Randa Elkins, both of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Harmony Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Woodard officiating.
Burial was in Harmony cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Kenneth Coffee, Harold Hyden, Roy Elkins, Mike Kendall, Steve Kendall, and John Patterson.
Honorary pallbearer was David Kendall.

Calvin C. Reeves

Calvin Coolidge Reeves, 77, of Pea Ridge died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Henry Bennet and Minnie Loy Crisp Reeves, World War II Army veteran stationed in Germany, retired from Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers, attended Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Reeves and Marie Reeves; one half-sister, Clara Reeves; and three brothers, Robert Vance Reeves, William McKinley Reeves, and Herman Eugene Reeves.
Survivors include his widow, Velma Rounds Weaver Reeves; five sons, James Reeves and Marvin L. Weaver, both of Pea Ridge; Terry Reeves of Garfield, and Joel Reeves and Norman R. Weaver, both of Seligman; two daughters, Debbie Hickman of Rogers and Joyce Ivy of Pea Ridge; one sister, Vernie Goldsmith of Russellville; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with Pastor Anthony Lane officiating. Burial was in Mossville cemetery near Jasper.

David E. Cordell

David Eugene Cordell, 67, of Fort Smith, father of Gina Oberste of Clarksville, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Myrtle Ethridge Cordell, carpenter, member of Union 690, and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by one other daughter, Lanesa Cordell of Altus; one sister, Nan Dangers of Ozark; three brothers, Gary Barham of Washington, Butch Cordell of Ozark, and Richard Cordell of North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Chandra Oberste, Nathan Oberste, and Christopher Oberste, and Lakota Cordell.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Dianna Lee Hunt

ianna Lee Hunt, 56, of Lamar died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Berkley, Calif., graduate of John Swett High School in Crockett, Calif., attended the Baptist Church, and former employee of Sara Lee Hosiery.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Gonzales Jr. of Cummings, Ga., John Gonzales of Little Rock, and D. J. Reid of Clarksville; mother, Emogene Hunt of Clarksville; father and stepmother, Otis Lee and Pat Hunt of Sallisaw, Okla.; one sister, Barbara Hunt of Lamar; two brothers, Otis Wayne Hunt of Clarksville and Bob Hunt of Sallisaw, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, at Knoxville cemetery with Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Dothula Stone

Dothula Stone, 86, of Hagarville died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at her home.
She was a native of Malden, Mo., daughter of the late Scott Allen and Dothula Alexander Marshall, 1935 graduate of West Plains (Missouri) High School, widow of Dewey Stone, Baptist, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Don Marshall; one granddaughter, Margie McCraw; and two great-grandchildren, J. T. and Mariam McCraw.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith Terry of Lamar; one son, Paul Allen Stone of Hagarville; six grandchildren, Fred Terry of Lamar, Clara Gordon of Magazine, Frances Terry of West Memphis, and Cheryl, Patricia and Daniel Terry of Lamar; and 11 great-grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Hailey and Hannah Terry of Lamar, Samantha, Emily and Abigail McCraw of Deer, Paige, Shelby and Bryce Gordon of Magazine, and Lakyn Sanders of Lamar.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Fort Douglas cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Winfield, Fred Terry, Daniel Terry, Shane Gordon, Gene McCraw, and David Graves.

Dwayne Tilley

Dwayne Tilley, 67, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, in Springfield, Ore.
A former resident of Lamar, he was a son of the late Freed and Josie Tilley of Lamar, 1954 graduate of Lamar High School, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Tilley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Elbert Tilley of Lamar.
Survivors include his widow, Donna Tilley; one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Gordon Goodell of Cottage Grove, Ore.; three grandsons, Bill and Aaron Hackett and Michael Goodell, all of Cottage Grove, Ore.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Goodell of Cottage Grove, Ore.; three brothers including his twin, Wayne Tilley of Paducah, Ky., Larry Tilley of Granbury, Texas, and Harry Tilley of Lamar; two sisters, Sue Hatchett and Loretta Crotts, both of Lamar; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 23, in Springfield, Ore., and another one will be held in Lamar at a later date.
