William C. Key Sr.
William Clark Key Sr., 60, of Knoxville died Sunday, March 10, 2002, in North Logan County Memorial Hospital.
He was a son of the late I. C. and Elizabeth (Dib) Moore Key, native of Jackson, Tenn., retired Oster-Sunbeam Appliance employee, and was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Key Bond.
Survivors are his widow, Jessica Kirkpatrick Key; one daughter, Debbie Key of Jackson, Tenn.; one son, Clark Key of Jackson, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Angela Hughes of Clarksville and Leah Smith of Knoxville; five grandchildren; and one niece, Libby Wade Grisham of Rogers.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
W. B. (Bill) Waldo
W. B. (Bill) Waldo, 78, of Ozone died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at his home.
He was a retired CPA, Methodist, Mason, Navy veteran of World War II and Korean War, son of the late Roy and Martha Boley Waldo, and was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Waldo.
Survivors are his widow, Butch Cowan Waldo; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Harold Copeland of Fort Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Sharon Waldo of Lamar; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Art Anderson of Flushing, Mich.; one brother and sister-in-law, Gaylon and Pat Waldo of Granite City, Ill.; two grandsons and spouse, Jody and Donna K. Copeland of Clarksville and Richard Copeland of Fort Smith; one granddaughter, Tara Copeland of New York City, N. Y.; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Carly Copeland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Col. Bill Murray officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenny Milam, Mike Asbury, Loyd George, Bill Downham, Hurlon Moore, and Brit Yount.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Harderson, Doug Carey, and Varnell (Dub) King.
Ada M. Barclift
Ada Mae Barclift, 81, of Ozark died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, in Ozark Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late James R. and Sally Ramsey Barclift and a native of Ozark.
Survivors are one sister, Ruth Guess of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Ashlynn McKnight
Ashlynn Heaven McKnight, infant daughter of David and LaKisha McKnight of Coal Hill, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Other survivors include grandparents, David and DeLayne McKnight of Clarksville, Allen Farris of Hartman, and Jennifer and Jerry Morgan of Coal Hill; and great-grandparents, Mervin and Hazel Farris and Bill and Edna Woods, all of Clarksville, Elmer Whitson of Knoxville, and L. G. Tumbleson of Kent, Wash.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at West Mt. Zion cemetery near Hartman with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Arthur Ruston
Arthur E. Ruston, 74, of Ozark, brother of Betty Plugge of Hartman, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Ozark Nursing Home.
He was a World War II Army veteran, a retired 32-year employee of Arkhola Sand and Gravel, native of Ozark, son of the late C. T. and Dora Almond Parrish, and was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; and one son, Lloyd.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice Mainini of Tahlequah, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Sue Chiolino of Russellville; one son, David (Red) Ruston of Ozark; one other sister, Odell Jones of Vicksburg, Miss.; two grandchildren, Bronson Ruston and Jill Millsap, both of Ozark; and one great-grandchild, Johnathan Millsap.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Cecil cemetery with Rev. Gerald Parrish officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Joe McClellan Sr., Danny Jones, Dale Harris, Bud Turk, Jim McClellan, and Frank Medlock.
Cora Frazier
Cora Bell Frazier, 83, of Van Buren died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in a Van Buren nursing home.
A native of Coal Hill, she was the widow of James Frazier, former resident of Mulberry, and a Pentecostal.
Survivors include four daughters, Irene Cowan of Mulberry, Betty Moore and Sylvia Frazier, both of Van Buren, and Louise Richey of Indiana; three sons, Raymond Frazier of Alma, Carroll Frazier of Van Buren, and Shirl Frazier; two stepdaughters, Wanda Murphy of Van Buren and Lois Welch of Calif-
ornia; two stepsons, Von Frazier of Van Buren and Delmer Frazier of Tulsa, Okla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at New cemetery in Mulberry.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Curtis and Billy Cowan, James, Oliver and Troy Frazier, and Todd Richey.
Della Dickerson
Graveside services and burial for Della Marie Dickerson, 83, of St. Paul, who died Friday, March 1, 2002, at her home, were at 3 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the Oark cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
She was a daughter of the late Harrison and Julia Emeline Bohannon Melson and widow of Ellis Dickerson.
Survivors are two brothers, James F. Melson of Pettigrew and O. Z. Melson of Strickler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dollie Hundhausen
Dollie Mae Hundhausen died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in a hospital in Wharton, Texas.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are her husband, Paul; one daughter, Marilyn Brooks of Bay City, Texas; two sons, Jimmy Hundhausen of Raleigh, N. C., and John Michael Hundhausen of Hot Springs; two sisters, Pat Brasher of De Soto, Mo., and Betty Clenny of Tennessee; four brothers, Billy Flynn, Charles Flynn, Don Flynn, and Johnny Flynn, all of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Shaffer Chapel with burial in Highland cemetery at Ozark.
Gary Van Anderson I
Gary Van Anderson I, 48, of New Blaine died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at his home.
He was a native of San Jose, Calif., graduate of Arkansas Tech University at Russellville and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he received a master's degree in speech pathology and taught for several years in the Lamar School District. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Delaware, member of the Elizabeth Hall Masonic Lodge No. 215, and an accomplished musician having the ability to play many different instruments and at the age of 15 started a band with a group of friends.
Survivors are his widow, Deanna Underwood Anderson; one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Van (Trisha) Anderson II of New Blaine; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gwedelyn and Mike Lawrence of Clarksville, Mary and Jeffery Brown of Scranton, and Kerri Anderson of New Blaine; parents, Van and Mary Evelyn Wurst Anderson of Delaware; three brothers, Kirby Anderson and Daniel Anderson, both of Delaware, and Timothy Anderson of Tracy, Calif.; two grandsons, Mychal Austin Lawrence and Malachi Aaron Lawrence, both of Clarksville; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the First Baptist Church in Delaware with Rev. Wiley Jones officiating.
Burial was in Anderson cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home at Dardanelle.
Pallbearers were Paul Farnam, Mitch Farnam, Shawn Miner, Andy Pemberton, Sonny Davis, Casey Foster, Kenny Whorton, and Bobby Whorton.
Hazel Johnson
Hazel Johnson, 92, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, daughter of the late Jasper and Leona Lee Clinton, and widow of Whitney Johnson.
She is survived by one brother, Howard Clinton of Hunt; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were W. J. Rimmer, Dayne Phillips, Jim Helms, Wendell Lee, Burley King, and Don Brown.
