Joy Gayle Bean
Joy Gayle Baskin Bean, 77, of Clarksville died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late Robert Thurlow and Estelle McMillan Baskin, widow of Clarence (Junior) Bean, member of Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian Keith Bean, and one sister, Wilma Baskin.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Hammond of Harrison and Marcia Dean of Tulsa, Okla.; four sons, Dennis Bean and Michael Bean, both of Clarksville, James Bean of Ozone, and Scott Bean of Roland; two sisters, Beth Newton of Clarksville and Alma Ashlock of Fort Smith; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating.
Burial was in Harmony cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were James Darren Melson, David Lasater, Mark Watkins, Bob Bean, Steve Askins, and Steve Thulis.
Honorary pallbearers were grandsons.
James L. Clayborn
James Leonard Clayborn, 89, of Clarksville died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at his home.
He was a son of the late William Raleigh and Ora Virginia Casey Clayborn, a laborer, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Artie Curtis and Effie Clayborn; and two brothers, Lloyd Clayborn and Wilburn Clayborn.
Survivors are his widow, Ruby D. Smith Clayborn; five daughters, Geneva Carlton of Fayetteville, Donnie Helen Bradley and Bonnie Knick, both of Clarksville, Ora Lou Aichele of Charleston, S. C., and Connie Bernier of Rudy; four sons, Jimmy Clayborn of Mansfield, Danny Clayborn and Tommy Clayborn, both of Clarksville, and Fred Clayborn of Russellville; one sister, Billie Jo Enselen of Florida; three brothers, John Clayborn, Roy Clayborn, and U. R. Clayborn, all of Indiana; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Rosetta cemetery with Rev. Danny Knick officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Carlton, Jerry Bradley, Dwaylin Clayborn, Weldon Bradley, Billy Clayborn, David Bernier, Jerimiah Knick, Kevin Carlton, Steven Bradley, Arlis Wise, Bruce Yandell, Erin Clayborn, and Kenneth Bradley.
Louise C. Mobley
Louise Caudle Mobley, 80, of Russellville, wife of Richard Mobley, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at her home.
A native of Russellville, she was a daughter of the late Reece Arnold and May Burgess Caudle, graduate of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and also studied at Middlebury College, McGill University in Quebec, and the University of Paris-Sorbonne. She was a professor of French at Arkansas Tech University for 22 years, member of the Arkansas Tech Dames Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and All Saints Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the St. Elizabeth's Guild.
Other survivors include one daughter, Margaret Burgess of Boulder, Colo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard Reece and Nancy Rossiter Mobley of Westwood, Mass.; one sister, Imo Campbell of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Ben of Boulder, Colo., and Ryan, Sarah and Elizabeth, all of Westwood, Mass.; and two nieces, Carol Fisher and Louise Watkins.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at All Saints Episcopal Church with Rev. Peggy Hays officiating. A private burial was held under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Maxie Elizabeth Sykes
Maxie Elizabeth Sykes, 56, of Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Clarksville, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Maplewood Care Center in Broken Arrow, Okla.
She was a 1963 graduate of Clarksville High School, daughter of the late Edward Cole, and an employee of Avis Car Rental.
Survivors include her husband, David A. Sykes; one daughter, Kimberly Sykes of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one son, Mark A. Sykes of Broken Arrow, Okla.; mother, Juanita Holman Cole of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and one sister, Dorothy Cole of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Holman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

William H. Loedige
William H. Loedige, 96, of Lamar died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Mountain View.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, World War I Army veteran, former owner and operator of a dry cleaning business, son of the late William H. and Rose Schlafke Loedige, and was preceded in death by his wife, Edna S. Smith Loedige.
Survivors include one sister, Theresa Norcross of Lawrence, Kan.; one brother, Frederick Loedige of Los Angeles, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville with Rev. Robert Herring officiating.
Burial was in the St. Paul Lutheran cemetery at Lutherville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gayland Holman, Jerry Holman, Eric Cowell, Rick Holman, Ronnie Holman, and William Holman.
B. Yvonne Neblock
B. Yvonne Neblock, 59, of Russellville died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at her home.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, native of Neelyville, Mo., and daughter of the late George T. and Hattie B. Williams.
She is survived by one son, Robin Neblock of Russellville; two daughters, Joyce Weaver of Clarksville and Jody Blair of Russellville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Williams of Rockford, Ill.; three sisters, Mary King, Joan Blackburn, and Lois Winter, all of Rockford, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville with Rev. Vernon Long and Rev. Don Rose officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn cemetery in Russellville.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville.
Buster H. Harris
Buster Herbert Harris, 83, of Hartman died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Russellville Nursing Center.
He was a son of the late Pete and Loutisha Gibson Harris, Pentecostal, retired union employee, member of Laborers Local 107 and VFW, and was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Newberry Harris; one son, George William Harris; one granddaughter, Johnna Kay Willcutt; and two sisters, Anna Mae Drewery and Jewel Drewery.
Survivors are two daughters, Shelia Willcutt of Clarksville and Loutisha Dalton of Dover; one son, Billy (Bear) Harris of Altus; one brother, John Harris of Shafter, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Mark, Steve, and Geoffery Dalton, all of Dover, David Dalton of London, Sara Willcutt of Clarksville, Damon Willcutt of Mulberry, April Collins of Lamar, and B. J. Harris of Clarksville; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Burial will be in Hartman cemetery.

James Edward Moss
James Edward Moss, 64, of London, grandfather of Dakota James Moss of Clarksville, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at his home.
He was a son of the late Oscar H. and Cora Jones Moss, retired factory employee, and a Southern Baptist.
Other survivors include his widow, Wanda Moss; one daughter, Gayla Miller of London; one son, Dewayne Moss of Little Rock; six sisters, Wanda Coats, Dorothy Hoskins and Cathy Dornan of Locust Grove, Okla., Vera Cameren and Thelma Vanducen of Preug, Okla., and Linda Landreth of Bethany, Okla.; one brother, Franklin Moss of Harper, Kan.; and three other grandchildren including a granddaughter, Tayla N. Miller of London.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial was in Knoxville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Miller, Reese Harrel, Al Youhanna, Travis Rutledge, David Mason, and Paul Whorton.
Josie W. Robinson
Josie Emaline Willis Robinson, 95, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late John William and Mary Alice Burton Willis, widow of George Robinson, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Melvin, Thurman and Leon Robinson; one daughter, Eula Faye Robinson; six sisters, Evy Farmer, Eddie Euel Reynolds, Jewel Ship, Hattie Dunn, Delphia Ship and Rosie Harmon; three brothers, Vurn Willis, Felix Willis, and Robert Willis; and one grandson, Ronald Joe Greenhaw.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Junior Young of Clarksville, Glenda and Bill Greenhaw of Harrison, and Hazel and Gaylon Madewell of Lamar; one son, Lawrence Robinson of Coal Hill; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Leon Ketcherside officiating. Burial will be in Porter cemetery at Hunt.
Active pallbearers will be Everett Willis, James Willis, Bill Willis, Claud Willis, Larry Willis, and George Willis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Young and Billy Joe Gipson.
