Eric L. Bewley

Eric L. Bewley, 30, of Russellville died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at his home.
He was a native of Russellville, 1991 graduate of Russellville High School, an employee of Mike Bewley Construction and attended the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Corbin.
Survivors include his widow, Judy LaRose Freeman Bewley; one son, Caden Bewley of the home; one daughter, Chloe Bewley of the home; parents, Mike and Melody Bewley of London; one sister, Dana Biddle of Centerville; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Betty and Rex Humbarger of Hot Springs; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, David and Pat Bewley of London; and maternal grandmother, Mary Corbin of Russellville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Shinn Chapel with Rev. Terry Latham officiating. Burial will be in the Price cemetery at London.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Hubbard, Tommy Hubbard, Robby Bewley, Mitchell Price, Mike Clober and Doug Biddle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shorty Johnson, Bob Meimerstorf, Ed Harness, Blacky Cossey and Paul Meimerstorf.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Shinn Funeral Service in Russellville.
Memorials may be made to the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, 3580 SR 124, Russellville, AR 72802.

Imogene M. Kenney

Imogene M. Kenney, 90, of Decatur died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Julius and Lizzie Feltnor Williams, member of the Heritage Baptist Church at Gravette, and the widow of Roy Nunley and Aaron Kenney.
She is survived by two daughters, Stella Curtis of Clarksville and Wanda Clinton of Little Rock; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the Lone Pine cemetery with Rev. Burley King officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Larry Dean Smith

Larry Dean Smith, 57, of Clarksville died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at his home.
He was born at Heber Springs, son of the late Elmer and Edith Reynolds Smith, and a retired timber employee.
He is survived by three daughters, Anna Vandergrill of Malden, Mo., and Rebecca Smith and Bobby Smith, both of Clarksville; two sons, Larry Wayne Smith of Malden, Mo., and John Bradley Smith of Clarksville; mother of his children, Martha Umfress of Malden, Mo.; two sisters, Anne Chancelor of Ola and Debora Hall of Cassville; four brothers, Leon Smith, Ronnie Smith and Douglas Smith, all of Ola, and Bobby Smith of Clarksville; and 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Mount Vernon cemetery with Rev. Don Carey officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Virginia Ruth Dorney

Virginia Ruth Dorney, 64, of Hartman died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was born at Denning to John Henry and Glen Smith Stover, member of Liberty Hill cemetery Board, Hartman Volunteer Fire Department, and VFW Auxiliary and a Protestant.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Dorney; two daughters, Cheryl VanAkken of Spadra and Cleta Ralph of Hartman; one son, Jimmy Dorney of Hartman; five sisters, Lorene McClain of Denning, Martha Tillery and Francis Tollison, both of Hartman, and Juanita Walker and Nancy Smith, both of Ozark; three brothers, Sam, Leo and Gary Stover, all of Denning; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial will be in the Kendall cemetery north of Hartman.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Stover, James Thomas, Bud Dixon, Jerry Dorney, John Dorney, and Garry Dorney.

Aubrey D. Mays

Aubrey Dean (Dick) Mays, 81, of Sikeston, Mo., died Saturday, April 12, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Missouri Highway 51 near Puxico, Mo., according to information received from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. His wife, Emogean Bell Mays, 76, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to Three Rivers North Campus Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
A native of Hagarville, he was a son of the late Joe and Robbie Hutchins Mays, member of Masonic Lodge 310 AF&AM, 33rd degree Mason, owner and operator of Mays Garage, member of Miner Baptist Church for 53 years, U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and recipient of the Purple Heart, two Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge and the World War II Victory Ribbon. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Other than his widow, he is survived by three sons, K. Nathan Mays and James Curtis McDaniel, both of Sikeston, Mo., and Ronald Floyd McDaniel of Belvidere, Ill.; four daughters, Carlois Holmes of Bloomfield, Mo., Marcia Beeson of Dexter, Mo., and Mary Ann Crowe and Carolyn White, both of Russellville; three brothers, Bill Mays of Mount Auburn, Miss., Don Mays of Cherokee Pass, Mo., and Basil Mays of Englewood, Fla.; two sisters, Loula Warren of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Christine Godwin of Morley, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronald Shrum officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger Moore, Archie Smith, Martin Allen, Chester Kordahl, Cecil Owens, and Raymond Woollums.

Albert Ray Rinke

Albert Ray Rinke, 71, of Altus died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
He was a retired machinist with Trans World Airlines after 30 years of service, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1650 in Riverside, Mo., and member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3455 in Altus.
Survivors include his widow, Nina Collene Ross Rinke; two daughters, Annetta Raye Baker and Rhonda Kaye Holder, both of Altus; one son, Timothy Alan Rinke of Rogers; four sisters, Doris Oberste of Belton, Mo., Pat Briggs of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mary Carter of Kansas City, Mo., and Josephine Zey of Odessa, Mo.; three brothers, Gerald Rinke of Kansas City, Mo., Richard Rinke of Rogers, and Vincent Rinke of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Joseph Samarin, Neil Haney, Adam Schluterman, Aaron Straub, Lee Ericson, and Alain Bourdages.

Albert Schluterman

Albert Schluterman, 72, of Subiaco died Wednesday, April 30, 2003.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, farmer, member of St. Benedict Catholic Church at Subiaco and St. Benedict Men's Society, and son of the late Ben and Mary Forst Schluterman.
Survivors include his widow, Adelie Blaschke Schluterman; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Cindy and Randy Vire of Clarksville, Kathy and Ronnie King, Mary and Phillip Robberson, and Karen and Keith Willems, all of Paris, and Jeanne Huck and Patty and Brian Bazyk, all of Subiaco; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Martin and Barbara Schluterman, Will Schluterman, Chris and Cindy Schluterman, and Ronnie and Carol Blaschke, all of Subiaco, Bobby and Debbie Schluterman of Greenwood, and Tom and Pam Schluterman of Midway; two sisters, Margaret Binz and Mary Ann Komp, both of Paris; two brothers, Bernard Schluterman of Paris and Eugene Schluterman of Subiaco; 28 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, at St. Benedict Catholic Church at Subiaco.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial in St. Benedict cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Active pallbearers were Scott King, Cody Schluterman, Robbie Cope, Ben Schluterman, Fred Schluterman, and Randy Blaschke.
Honorary pallbearers were Pat Etzkorn, Bobby Sewell, Tim Tencleve, Donald Hixson, and Randy Vire.

Buddy Rogers

Buddy Rogers, 72, of Clarksville died Monday, May 5, 2003, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Frank Freeman and Helen Guthrie Rogers, graduate of Hartman High School, member of the Goose Camp Assembly of God Church, and retired wildlife officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Rogers Lee of Clarksville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jim and Nancy Rogers, Jack and Dolores Rogers, and Robert Rogers, all of Clarksville; one sister, Lanelle Russell of Hartman; two brothers, George Rogers of Clarksville and Charles Rogers of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Derek Rogers, Caitlin Rogers, Austin Lee and Kristin Lee, all of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Usery officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Warren, Carl Kirshberger, Wesley Kendrick, Mark Simpson, Gabe Kirshberger, Larry Gould, and Jack Cecil.

Christene B. Hatchett

Christene Buchanan Hatchett, 78, of Clarksville died Friday, May 2, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Mary Elizabeth Sisco Buchanan, member of the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by three grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton and Jasper Buchanan; and three sisters, Alta Bowen, Clara Sanders, and Johnnie Ogden.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Burl Hatchett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Sparks and Will Pizzotti and Joan and Jim Rigsby, all of Clarksville; three sons, Gary Don Hatchett, Ronnie Dean Hatchett, and Burl David Hatchett, all of Clarksville; three sisters, Hester Bowen of Mountain Top, Ruth Harris of Clarksville, and Amanda Hatfield of Fresno, Calif.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Mt. Vernon cemetery with Rev. Don Carey officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
