Sedric Epperson

Sedric Horner (Pete) Epperson, 78, of Hartman died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired Ford Lumber Company employee, Army veteran, member of the Assembly of God Church, Mason, son of the late W. C. and Myrtle Farley Epperson, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Westover and Emmy Cline; and one brother, James Epperson.
Survivors include his widow, Inez Morrow Epperson; five daughters, Janet Burton of Hartman, Judy Handley of Clarksville, Marsha Ragsdale of London, Teresa Carlisle of Coal Hill, and Pam Musgrove of Ponca City, Okla.; four sons, Floyd Gene Epperson of North Carolina, Jamie Epperson of Clarksville, Joe Epperson of Fort Smith, and Jody Epperson of the home; three brothers, Jack Epperson of Hartman, Bill Epperson of San Diego, Calif., and Benny Epperson of Florida; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Hartman cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Donald Ragsdale, Joe Epperson, Erick Erickson, Jimmy Bateman, Mike Ragsdale, and Jimmy Meyer.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Handley, Samuel Burton, James Epperson, Kevin Epperson, Brandon Epperson, Floyd Epperson, Darion Epperson, and Martin Handley.

Sara Jane Meeler

Sara Jane Meeler, 64, of Altus died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Alix, daughter of the late Cecil Wathern, and a registered nurse.
She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Holman of Altus, Tammy Bohannon of Coal Hill and Jamie Edgar of Alix; mother, Claudia Higdon Wathern of Alix; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Bonnie Jean LeBlanc

Bonnie Jean Tabor LeBlanc, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at The Exeter House in Seattle, Wash.
She was a native of Dale, daughter of the late Chester F. and Esther Melson Tabor, attended school in Ozone, former resident of Wyoming, former resident and co-manager of an apartment house, and was an employee of a printing firm in Seattle, Wash., until her retirement in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Charles LeBlanc; three brothers, Leslie Tabor of Everett, Wash., Wesley Tabor of Rawlins, Wyo., and Conley Tabor of Auburn, Wash.; and eight sisters, Betty Glenn, Myrtle Russell, Junita Sue Cureton and Virginia Autio, all of Rawlins, Wyo., Lois Seldomridge and Catherine Lawrence of Layton, Utah, Lynda Brown of Sacramento, Calif., and Robbie Evelyn Zeiger of Montrose, Colo.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at The Exeter House Chapel in Seattle, Wash.

Edna E. Marsh

Edna Edwards Marsh, 85, of Russellville, mother of Robert Marsh Jr. of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at her home.
She was a native of Russellville, daughter of the late Samuel and Willie Green Edwards, member of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Eloise Wilson and Elizabeth Perry; one brother, Russell Edwards; and one nephew, Charles Wilson.
She is survived by one other son, Wallace Marsh of Russellville; five grandchildren, Eric Stanley Marsh of Maumelle, Marquita Marsh of Russellville, Valerie Marsh of Los Angeles, Calif., RoxAnne Marsh of Clarksville, and Amy Marsh of the U. S. Navy in Italy; six great-grandchildren; three nieces, Wanda Peevy, Margaret Ross and Josephine Nichols, all of Russellville; one nephew, Paul Wilson; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alex D. Bray, Rev. Jerry Linton, and Rev. Tyrone Williamson officiating.
Burial was in the Reed cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Honorary pallbearers were J. B. Jackson, James Jackson and Crettes Wilson.

Hazel Ira Taylor

Hazel Ira Bean Taylor, 93, of Springdale, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at Northwest Regional in Springdale.
She was a daughter of the late Ira Clarence and Charlie Dessie Bean, widow of Vester H. Taylor, a Baptist, 20-year employee of Clarksville Hospital, and was preceded in death by one son, Harold Wayne Taylor.
She is survived by three sons, V. H. Taylor, Billy C. Taylor, and Tommy Joe Taylor, all of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Delbert (Louise) Turner of Clarksville; one brother-in-law, John Woodard of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Mrs. Bill (Marilyn) Harris of Van Buren, Mrs. Brian (Sandra) Wilt of Siloam Springs, and Lonnie Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Lance Taylor, all of Springdale; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Airy cemetery.
Active pallbearers were D. J. Turner, Bob Bean, Jimmy Bean, Mike Bean, and Earl Toombs.
Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Holland and Ronnie Wagner.

Iva Price

Iva Price, 78, of Lamar died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Lamar.
She was a native of Pope County, daughter of the late Richard and Clara Trapp Cochran, widow of Ira Price, member of the Order of Eastern Star, retired Tyson Foods employee, and was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Rebecca and Bobby Golden of Clarksville and Karen Bridges of Lamar; two brothers, Richard (Gub) Cochran and Charles Cochran, both of London; four sisters, Nellie Vinson, Mamie Smith, and Anne Graham, all of London, and Dorothy Harmon of Dover; three grandchildren, Alison Daniel, Pamela Davis, and Brock Bridges; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Shook and Colton Davis.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville with burial in the East Point cemetery at Russellville.

Lucille B. Partin

Lucille Byers Partin, 81, of Lamar died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a daughter of the late John Albert and Ludie Burt Byers, school teacher at Hector for one year, employee of Frank's Cafe for 20-plus years, South Park Restaurant for six years, and Teeters Family Steakhouse for nine years, and was preceded in death by one son, Robert Partin.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Jerry Ogden of Lamar; one sister, Julia Singleton of Chandler, Ariz.; and two grandsons, Jimmy Ogden and Michael Ogden, both of Lamar.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Lamar cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Billy Richardson, Marty Tumbleson, Jason Wadley, Alvie Joe Hollon, Ryan Ragsdale, and Drew Ragsdale.

Mary Jane Selby

Mary Jane Selby, 95, of Lamar died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a daughter of the late Edwin O. and Emma Lowther Selby, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Carothers and Marjorie Selby; and three brothers, Eddie Selby, George (G. T.) Selby, and Wallace Selby.
Survivors are one sister, Virginia Matthews of Chantilly, Va.; and two brothers, John Selby of Clarksville and Dell Selby of Lakewood, Calif.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Lamar Church of Christ with Paul Farrar officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Cox, William Cagle, Selby Brown, Charles Over, Don Cochran, and Verlon Harris.

Philip S. Young Jr.

Philip Samuel Young Jr., 81, of Oark died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, in a Little Rock hospital.
He was a retired minister of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, son of the late Philip Samuel and Sarah Alma Brinegar Young, served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was preceded in death by one sister, Alma Lucille Young.
Survivors are his widow, Louise Dalton Young; one son, Dave Young of Oark; one sister, Mary Jo Daily of Kannapolis, N. C.; one half-sister, Mary Phyllis McGill of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one brother, Harold Cope Young of Joelton, Tenn.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Pastor Ken Blundell officiating followed by private burial.
