Jewell E. Holloway

Jewell E. Holloway, 93, of Coal Hill died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Coal Hill, daughter of the late Johnie and Belle Spicer Williams, widow of Carl Holloway, Methodist, and a graduate of Hartman High School, where she was an all-American basketball player. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey Yates; son-in-law, Milton Grobe; four brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Carlene Grobe of Fredericksburg, Texas, Mary and Louis Dewett of Springdale, and Anita and Bob Weathers and Rita and Don Yates, all of Coal Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Brenda Holloway of Orange, Calif.; one sister, Janis Woods of Orange, Calif.; one brother, Wilson Williams of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Louis Dewett officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Darrell Weathers, Steve Weathers, Eddie Grobe, Joe Smith, Stacy Looney, Dean Bright, and Jerry Oehler.
Honorary pallbearers were Michael Holloway and Damon Morris.

Minnazelle Danley

Minnazelle King Danley, 96, of Bakersfield, Calif., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Joe B. and Kate Clark King, widow of Thomas Campbell Danley, member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a former resident of Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado Springs, Colo. She was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine King Sefcik; one brother, Joe B. King Jr., and two nephews, Joe Ben King and William M. Hardwicke III.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Sandidge of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Anna K. Tressider of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren and spouse, Stuart and Rosemary Sandidge of Reno, Nev., Kate Rosenlieb of Sacramento, Calif., and Jeffrey and Jonathan Sandidge of Bakersfield, Calif.; three great-granddaughters, Staci, Trisha, and Lisa Sandidge; one niece, Sharon King Bosworth of Palm Dessert, Calif.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Rosewood Activity Center in Bakersfield, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary Funeral Directors. Interment will be at a later date at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Bakersfield, 1705 17th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.

Randy E. Stewart

Randy Eugene Stewart, 36, of Clarksville died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at his home.
He was an employee in the food service of Conagra and son of the late Robert Earnest and Frances West Stewart.
Survivors are his widow, Dawn Renee Roberts Stewart; one stepdaughter, Megan Dawn Brown of Clarksville; one stepson, James Daniel Stewart of Clarksville; two sisters, Ruby Heil of Clarksville and Becky Brown of Hunt; three brothers, John Stewart of Jonesboro and Willis Stewart and Jack Stewart, both of Clarksville; 13 nieces; and 13 nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Kotch, Jamie Kotch, Gary Yarbrough, Billy Heil, Jack Heil Jr., and Donavon Stewart.

Rosemary Thomas

Rosemary Thomas, 76, of Hartman died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Free Jesus Name Church and daughter of the late William and Margaret Berry Carmen.
Survivors include her husband, Carlton Thomas; seven daughters, Sharon Liles and Lillie McMillian, both of Coal Hill, Margaret Race of Crystal, Mich., Jean Oaks of Harrison, Dawn Patillo of Kansas City, Mo., Kathaleen Coffman of Little Rock, and Rena Gaston; three sons, Richard Thomas of Corpus Christi, Texas, Llewelelyn Frank Thomas of Harrison, and William Thomas of Hartman; 27 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Free Jesus Name Church in Coal Hill with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Amma E. Garland

Graveside services and burial for Amma Eudean Garland, 78, of Anaheim, Calif., who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in Anaheim, Calif., were at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
She was a daughter of the late Roy and Minnie Ross Foshee and widow of Roy Baxter Garland.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Garland and John Garland, both of Anaheim, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Amber Dawn Decoteau

Jessica Renee Cantrell
Amber Dawn Decoteau, 22, and her sister, Jessica Renee Cantrell, 19, both of Red Star, sisters of Derek Cantrell of Salus, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Fallsville.
Both are natives of Harrison but had lived most of their lives in this area. Decoteau attended the Assembly of God Church and Cantrell attended the Full Gospel Church.
Decoteau is survived by two children, Mikiah Decoteau and Damianna Eckland, both of Red Star; father James Stanford of Compton; stepfather and mother, Terry and Barbara Renee Cross Tilley of Dover; one half sister, Bridgette Stanford of Compton, and three other brothers, Travis Cantrell of Harrison, Jerry Don Cantrell Jr. of Ohio, and Colton Don Cantrell of St. Paul.
Cantrell is survived by her father, Jerry Don Cantrell of Ohio; stepfather and mother, Terry and Barbara Renee Cross Tilley of Dover; and three other brothers, Travis Cantrell of Harrison, Jerry Don Cantrell Jr. of Ohio, and Colton Don Cantrell of St. Paul.
A double funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Gerry Bryant officiating. Burial was in Plumlee cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Tilley, Steve Parker, JoeJoe Case, Jared Pelfry, George Davidson, Eugene Case, Cecil Case, Justin Pelfry, Rex Davidson, Joe Case, Larry Case, and Colby Bolen.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Case, Billy Case, and Kevin Case.

Juanita D. Beaupre

Juanita D. Beaupre, 83, of Nowata, Okla., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, in Bartlesville, Okla.
She was a former resident of Clarksville and widow of William M. Beaupre.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Beaupre of Nowata, Okla.; and two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Debbie Beaupre of Clarksville and Bill and Stella Beaupre of Los Angeles, Calif.
The body was cremated.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

John David Smith

John David Smith, 68, of Hartman died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at UAMS in Little Rock.
He was retired, son of the late Newton Jesse and Virgie Othel Nuckols Smith, and was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Kimbrel; two brothers, McKinley Smith and Hurshel Smith; and one granddaughter, Deanna Plank.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Louise Tumbleson Smith; four daughters, Donna Faye Plank of Washington, Texas, Deborah Kaye Patterson of Clarksville, Diana Lynn Rainey of Knoxville, and Anna Louise Holman of Lamar; two sons, David Lee Smith of Clarksville and Danny Ray Smith of Paris; three sisters, Martha Ellen Woods of Springdale, Lillie Mae Dukes of Dyer, and Brenda Sue Barners of Rogers; two brothers, Newt Junior Smith of Clarksville and Richard Leon Smith of Lamar; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Travis George and Rev. John Price officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alex Choate, Jacob Rainey, Josh Patterson, Jeremy Smith, Larry Turner, John Patterson, Zachary Fox, Ethan Plank, and Dyllanjer Choate.

Leroy A. Lukins

Leroy A. Lukins, 59, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, from injuries sustained in a mobile home fire.
He was a native of Sacramento, Calif., son of the late Bert and Ethel Anderson Lukins, Vietnam Army veteran, diesel mechanic, and preceded in death by one son; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter and fiance, Glenda Lukins and Jason Williams of Clarksville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Leroy and Karla Lukins of Paris and Cecil Lukins of Atkins; three sisters, Bonnie Waddell of Van Buren, Rosie Blaker of Clarksville and Myrtle Kitching of Lavaca; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Liberty Hill cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Leo Stover

Leo Stover, 70, of Denning, brother of Martha Tillery and Francis Tollison of Hartman, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at his home.
He was a native of Denning, son of the late John Henry and Glen Smith Stover, former member of the Denning City Council, retired master sergeant in the United States Air Force, Vietnam veteran, member of Coal Hill VFW Post No. 8532, Pentecostal, and a brother of the Knights of the Blue Nose.
Survivors include his widow, Quita Lois McCartney Stover; one daughter, Rose Rinke of Ozark; two sons, Daniel and Anthony Stover, both of Ozark; three other sisters, Lorene McClain, Juanita Walker and Nancy Smith, all of Ozark; two brothers, Sam and Gary Stover, both of Denning; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Houston cemetery with Rev. J. W. McEntyre officiating.
Active pallbearers were Robert Rofkahr, Travis Gentry, Calvin and Scott Stover, Lee McCartney and Bryan Rinke.
Honorary pallbearers were Earl Wyers, Randy Harris, Matthew Rinke, Charlie Walker, Dale Pyron, Dale Brown, and Bill Pannell.
