Johnny L. Justice
Johnny Lee Justice, 34, of London died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He attended the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church and was employed in the dietary department at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his widow, Shamra Mueller Justice; one daughter, Rachel Justice of the home; one son, Jonathan Justice of the home; parents, J. R. and Bessie Philpot of Pottsville; six sisters, Cindy Hedrick of Hattieville, Dawn Haught of London, Malinda Ford of Dover, Christy Johnson of Atkins, Randy Brandol of Jacksonville, Fla., and Destine Philpot of Russellville; and one brother, John Philpot of Mountain Home.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ronnie Birge and Bill Phelps officiating.
Burial was in East Point cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Gary Ford, Mark Brown, Joe Villalobos, Robert Hedrick, Gary Hiland, and Marty Tumbleson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Justice, Matthew Hedrick, and Chad Hedrick.
Leona Patton
Leona Patton, 104, of Stigler, Okla., died Sunday, July 20, 2003.
She was a native of Winslow, daughter of the late Jim and Martha Winkle McDonnor, widow of Prosper Jerome Patton and was preceded in death by one son, James Patton of Clarksville.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Mayberry of Whitefield, Okla., and Helen Honeycutt and Mona White, both of Stigler, Okla.; five sons and three daughters-in-law, J. C. and Velma Patton of Van Buren, Charles and Jerrie Patton, Raymond Patton and Jim Bill and Morine Patton, all of Stigler, Okla., and Virgil Patton of Eureka, Calif.; two sisters, Rosie Wallace and Juanita Hattabaugh, both of Alma; 34 grandchildren including Dennis Patton of Hartman, and Roger and Anita Patton, both of Clarksville; several great-grandchildren including Bobby Patton and Tammy Epperson, both of Hartman, and Deanna Patton Teague of Clarksville; and several great-great-grandchildren including Justin Patton of Lamar, D. J. Teague of Clarksville and Adrianna, Brittney, James and Amanda Epperson, all of Hartman.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler, Okla., with Rev. Tommy Honeycutt and Doug Honeycutt officiating. Burial was in Stigler City cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Kates, Gary Don White, Billy Tom White, Steve Hendrix, Kevin Hendrix, and Keith Hendrix.
Mary Ellen Lemarr
Mary Ellen Lemarr, 66, of Knoxville died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired Tyson Foods employee, Baptist, daughter of the later Barger Montelle and Johnnie Ellen Fox Cagle, and widow of Loyd Leon Lemarr.
She is survived by four daughters, Loretta Sue Cummisky and Linda Elaine Freeman, both of Flat Rock, Beverly Diane Olinger of Mt. Vernon, and Benita Joy Foreman of Knoxville; one son, Jerry Dewayne Dale of Knoxville; one sister, Alpha Mae Tice of Clarksville; three brothers, William Howard Cagle of Knoxville, and Wilburn Ralph Cagle and Robert Edward Cagle, both of Tulsa, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Roller-Cox Chapel with burial in Knoxville cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Don Cagle, Kevin Brents, Gordon Olinger, Greg Cagle, Gary Wilson, and Ben Allison.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Cummisky, Tony Dale, and Billy Drummond.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Von Thomas
Von Thomas, 77, of Hartman died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a native of Hartman, son of the late Howard and Ellie Howe Thomas, retired truck driver, and preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Thomas Jr., Harry Thomas, and Jetty Lee Thomas.
Survivors are his widow, Patricia Thomas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Teresa and Ernie Gaddy, Mary Ann and Robert Brown, and Lavonda Thomas, all of Tulsa, Okla.; three sons, Eddie Thomas, Timmy Thomas, and Otis Todd Thomas, all of Tulsa, Okla.; one stepson and wife, Michael and Joyce Hendricks of Clarksville; one stepdaughter, Michelle Jewett of Owasso, Okla.; two sisters, Anna May Kissinger of Pocola, Okla., and Sally Thomas of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Jackie Thomas of Hartman and Tommy Thomas of Clarksville; six grandchildren, Donnie Cox, Jerry Jewett, Shannon Hendricks, Hannah Newman, Jake Newman, and Anna Marie Newman; one great-grandchild, Daniel Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Cameron officiating. Burial will be in West Mount Zion cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kyle Thomas, Ashton LaRue, Gary LaRue, Tom Fowler, Bobby Rofkahr, and David Rayburn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Snapper Houston, Frank Rofkahr, Paul Lee and Ronald Rofkahr.
Bobby Casey
Bobby Casey, 65, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Fort Smith.
He was a retired security officer with Industrial Security Services of Houston, served in the Navy, Baptist, son of the late Grady P. and Thelma Casey, and a native of Wharton, Texas.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Casey of Clute, Texas; one sister, Nell Craig of Hitchcock, Texas; and two brothers, Wilson Casey of Splendora, Texas, and Danny Casey of Houston.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the U. S. National cemetery in Fort Smith with Rev. Jay Wells officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Carrie Jean Wilson
Carrie Jean Wilson, 49, of Satellite Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, graduate of Clarksville High School and Capital City Business College in Russellville, member of the Clarksville First United Methodist Church, daughter of the late Ed Noel Blackard, an insurance adjustor, and had resided in Florida since 1987.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Stephen Wilson; two daughters and one son-in-law, E. Rachard and Phillip Andrews and Ragon Jean Wilson, all of Satellite Beach, Fla.; one son, Parker W. Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Fayne Blackard of Clarksville; two sisters, Sandra Bryan of Tucson, Ariz., and Cheryl Coffman of Russellville; and one grandchild, Taylor J. Andrews of Satellite Beach, Fla.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Donald W. Frederick
Donald Wayne Frederick, 60, of Clarksville died July 29, 2003, at his home.
He was a truck driver, Baptist, son of the late Chester Frederick, and was preceded in death by one sister, France Navine Frederick.
Survivors include his widow, Janet Meyer Frederick; three daughters, Sara Hinds, Marla Blivenn and Donitta Frederick, all of Springdale; three stepdaughters, Janet Miciotto of Louisiana, Vickie Kane of Springdale, and Robin Oziah of Fayetteville; two stepsons, Brian Smith of Clarksville and Carl Dodd of Louisiana; mother and stepfather, Ruby and Glen Head of Rudd; one sister, Anna Loftin of Springdale; one brother, Greg Head of Rudd; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Big Sandy Church in Marble with Rev. Darrell Wilson and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial was in Big Sandy cemetery at Marble under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Dovie Kinnard
Dovie Rue Kinnard, 91, of Fort Smith, mother of Ray Alston of Clarksville, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital.
She was a member of Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Newton of Ozark; three other sons, Jesse Kinnard of Chester, Harold Kinnard of Fort Smith, and Ersie Kinnard of Gans, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Gray Rock cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were James Kinnard, Curtis Kinnard, Mark Kinnard, Che Kinnard, Tracy Christian, and Cedric Marbles Jr.
George E. Becker
George Edward Becker, 77, of Fort Smith died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at his home.
A native of Altus, he was formerly of the Hartman area, son of the late Frederick John and Rosie Marie Elser Becker, 1944 graduate of St. Anne's Academy, served in the U. S. Navy, retired employee of Becker Foundry and retired assistant fire chief having served as a firefighter at Fort Chaffee. He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Becker; and one sister, Dorothy Szcezerba.
Survivors include his widow, Pat Martin Becker; one sister, Margaret Ann Bartley of Fort Smith; three brothers, Mike Becker and Bob Becker, both of Fort Smith, and John Becker of Palm Springs, Calif.; five nephews; and ten nieces.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Funeral mass was recited at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Fort Smith by Father Bill Elser. Burial was at Holy Cross cemetery.
