Kenneth S. Davis

Kenneth S. (Bo) Davis, 74, of Richmond, Calif., died June 1, 2003.
He was a native of Coal Hill and U. S. Army Korean War veteran.
Survivors include two sisters, Janice Cardova of Tracy, Calif., and Mary Ellen Perry of Clovis, Calif.; one brother, Donald L. Davis of Clovis, Calif.; one nephew, Kevin Cardova of San Jose, Calif.; one niece, Karen Ortega of Manteca, Calif.; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.
Funeral and burial were Tuesday, June 24, at the Coal Hill cemetery.

Lucile King Huie

Lucile King Huie, 91, of Destrehan, La., died Thursday, July 10, 2003, in River Parish Hospital in LaPlace, La.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Robert Newton and Mary Lavinia Taylor King, and retired psychiatric technician. She lived and worked in Little Rock most of her life prior to moving to Destrehan, La., five years ago.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Pettigrew of Westville, Ill., Lucy Causey of Destrehan, La., and Susan Franklin of Fayetteville; four grandsons; and four granddaughters.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Stillwell cemetery with Lang Causey officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Patsy J. Reynolds

Patsy Justice Reynolds, 78, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at home in Conway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. Reynolds, was a graduate of Clarksville High School, attended The College of the Ozarks, and was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Trisha and Mike Moore of Conway and Kathy and Bruce Holbrook of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Ruby Bailey of Clarksville; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were Saturday, July 12, at Roselawn cemetery in Little Rock with Rev. Clif Springr officiating.

Ruby Adams Timmons

Ruby Adams Timmons, 90, of Clarksville died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Spadra, daughter of the late Will N. and Edith Mae Johnson Adams, widow of Charlie Timmons, and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Clarksville.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Lou and Edd Young and Jeannie and Norman Crowden, all of Clarksville; two granddaughters and spouses, Lisa Jean and Ronald Perry of Fort Smith and Robin and Mike Rice of Springdale; two great-grandchildren, Edye Alicia Perry of Fort Smith and Alex Rice of Springdale; and one great-great-grandchild, Maliq JeRon Perry of Fort Smith.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dade Kindrix and Rev. Terry Cameron officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Johnson, Don Johnson, Wesley Kendrick, Carl Williams, Mark Simpson, and Billy Simpson.

Vicy Jane Case

Vicy Jane Case, 57, of Ozark died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital.
She was born at Mountain Top to H. P. and Eva Willis Farmer, poultry grower for Cargill for 20 years, and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her husband, J. C. Case; one daughter, Vickie Lantz of Altus; one son, Jerry Case of Coal Hill; seven sisters, Lillie Keech of Van Buren, Lois Martin and Pauline McCartney, both of Mountain Top, Dean Davis of Ozark, Ollie Pledger of Kibler, Mary Whitehead of Kansas City, Kan., and Faye McGuire of Clarksville; two brothers, Donald Farmer of Ozark and Rev. Ronnie Farmer of Aurora, Mo.; and seven grandchildren, Danielle Rinke, J. W. Case, Nick Case, Madeline Case, Crystal Lantz, Rachelle Lantz, and Rusty Lantz, all of Altus.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. D. Ellison and Rev. Sammy Alverson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery at Mountain Top.
Active pallbearers will be Worley Ellerbee, Ray Young, Pete Williams, Randy Markes, Danny Markes, and Kenneth McGuire.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Preston Whitehead, Benny Whitehead, Cletus Davis, Ronald Cowan, Hank Keech, and Kenneth McGuire.

Doris H. Watkins

Doris Houston Watkins, 93, of Clarksville died July 2, 2003, in Tulsa, Okla., where she had resided the past 48 years.
She was a native of Morrilton, daughter of the late John W. and Edna Houston, graduate of Clarksville High School, and attended the University of the Ozarks before graduating in 1933 from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Kansas City, Mo. She was employed as a registered nurse in Clarksville prior to moving to Tulsa, Okla., in 1955 where she worked at St. John Hosptial and later served as resident nurse at the University of Tulsa.
Survivors include one son, Steve Houston Watkins of Houston, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Stuart of Tulsa, Okla., and Athline and William Cates of Bella Vista; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Woodard officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wendell Riddell, Lynn Reynolds, John Howell, and Phillip Lamb.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 1068, Clarksville, AR 72830 or the charity of the donor's choice.

F. L. Halmes

Francis Lowell Halmes, 77, of Ozark, brother of Lillian Blackard and Howard Halmes, both of Hartman, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
He was a cattle rancher, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Cattleman's Association and Texas Feeder's Association. He was a native of Ozark and son of the late Nicholas Fuller and Euna Mae Chandler Halmes.
Other survivors include his widow, Dennie Durning Halmes; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Sarah Halmes and David and Paula Halmes, all of Ozark; one brother, J. E. Halmes of Ozark; six grandchildren, Heidi Halmes, Callie Halmes, Kristopher Halmes and wife, Char, Justin Halmes, Tyler Halmes, and Levi Halmes; and one great-grandson, Tyler Morris.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coyce Couch officiating. Burial was at Jackson cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Justin, Tyler and Kris Halmes, Mike Durning, Randy Hillard and Bruce Haney.
Honorary pallbearers were Frank Sutherland, Joe Halmes, Buel Swaim, L. D. Holland, Willie Davis, Sterlin Bramlett, Kenneth Wheeless and Jimmy Waits.

Laura G. Sisk

Laura Gelene Sisk, 63, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Free Jesus Name Church in Coal Hill, daughter of the late Johnny and Dora Patterson Williams, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Williams, Bill Williams, Nobel Williams and Riddle Williams; and three sisters, Willie Mae Williams, Sula Williams and Johnnie Lee.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Ray Sisk; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Jeanette and Jimmy Dwayne Parker of Coal Hill; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy Ray Sisk of Hartman and Kenneth Wayne and Irene Machele Sisk of Coal Hill; three sisters, Isabell Grayson and Wanda Rice, both of Altus, and Lois Ellison of Ozark; one brother, Paul Wesley Williams of Ozark; and six grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Free Jesus Name Church with Rev. Gerald Morris and Rev. David Zeiler officiating.
Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Clifton Ellison, Paul Lee, Ronnie Lee, Jackie Ray, Johnny Harold Williams and Alfred Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were J. D. Ellison, Sonny Williams, Kenneth Williams, Johnny Williams, and Billy Gene Williams.

Martha Jane Geer

Martha Jane Owen Geer, 77, of Park Hills, Mo., died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Alfred M. and Grace Snow Owen, widow of Homer Raymond Geer, Baptist, and was preceded in death by one sister, Vida Lowers; and one brother, Arthur Owen.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Terry Trumbull of French Village, Mo.; one son and daughter-in-law, David Ray and Judy Geer of St. Louis, Mo.; seven sisters, Vivian Courson of Clarksville, Ruby Esterline of Santa Cruz, Calif., Eltrie Smith of Greenbrier, Rachel Nemitz, Mary Lin, and Fayma Nelson, all of Minnesota, and Grace Young of Russellville; one brother, Arnold Owen of Tacoma, Wash.; two grandchildren, Rose White and husband, Jerry, of Park Hill, Mo., and Nichols Geer of St. Louis, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ken Young, Arron Arnold, Terry Trumbull, Thomas Courson, Curtis Fetters, and Matthew Keylon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Courson, Melvin Keylon and Nichols Geer.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
