Paul Byrne

Paul Byrne, 92, of Savoy, Texas, father of Pat Westbrook of Clarksville, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, in Mullican Retirement Center in Savoy, Texas.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from REA of Lamb County, Texas.
Other survivors are his wife of 70 years, Nina Ranne Byrne; one son, Gary Byrne of Savoy, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kris Westbrook and Kit Westbrook, both of Clarksville, Ed Westbrook and Lisa Adair, both of Ignacio, Colo., Regan Westbrook of Fort Smith, Lana Siemens of Carthage, Tenn., and Cheryl Byrne and Melanie Gaddy, both of Savoy, Texas; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Savoy, Texas, with Keith Avaritt of Clarksville and Kenneth Avaritt of Benton officiating. Burial was in Dixie cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas.
Active pallbearers were Ed Westbrook, Regan Westbrook, Kit Westbrook, Kris Westbrook, Dean Siemens, and Isaac Westbrook.
Honorary pallbearers were Blaine Westbrook, Daniel Siemens and Caleb Siemens.

Shelby Johnson

Shelby (Shep) Johnson, 59, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003.
He worked 20 years until his retirement with 3M as a maintenance supervisor and also for the city of Little Rock as an equipment operator. He was a son of the late Ed and Zona Johnson and was preceded in death by one sister, Zella Mae Witham; and two grandchildren, Angel and Richard Whitfield.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Johnson; three children, Glen and Brenda Johnson of Alexander, Lu and Doug Vaughan of Scranton, and Stacy and Rick Whitfield of Benton; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Johnson, Gail Vaughan, and Cody Whitfield; four brothers, Edward and Ronnie of Little Rock and Bill and Charles of Prattsville; two sisters, Gloria Jean Howerton of Alexander and Inez Brown of Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Blakley officiating. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
Active pallbearers were David Himes, Jeff Huckaby, Charles Prewett, Lamar Johnson, Dennis Vaughan, and John Norris.
Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Witham, Ricky Witham, and Jackie Farner.
Memorials may be madet to Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1119 Alcoa Road, Benton, AR 72015.

Adalene F. O'Leary

Adalene Fern O'Leary, 92, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 13, 1912 in Porter, Ind., and was the daughter of the late Hjalmer and Esther Anderson Olson. She was a graduate of Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Ind., was the widow of William Bert O'Leary and attended Grace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Omer and Aarol Olson, and one sister, Melba Dille.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Dennis Rood of Clarksville; one granddaughter and spouse, Melanie and Bill McGaughey of Clarksville; and two great-granddaughters, Haily and Sarah.
The body was cremated. A private graveside service and burial of cremains were Monday, Sept. 20, at Hartman cemetery with Rev. Hubert Swanson officiating.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 406, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Cecil P. Clayborn Sr.

Cecil Paul Clayborn Sr., 59, of Clarksville died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was of the Assembly of God faith, a former brick mason, and son of the late Claude Cecil Clayborn and Bula Ada Laneer Clayborn.
Survivors include his widow Clara Jo Marvel Clayborn; one daughter, Paula Jo Foster of Clarksville; two sons, Cecil Paul (Bo) Clayborn Jr. and Keith Douglas Clayborn, both of Clarksville; and three sisters, Lola Mae Douglas of Fort Smith, Reba Faye Flemmings of Tulsa, Okla., and Brenda Jane Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Woodland cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Pallbearers were Bob McMurtree, James Walker, Danny Hern Jr., Doug Crosley, Danny Hern, J. W. Sears, Frank Sears, Jimmy English and Junior Ashlock.

Dester O. Baxter

Dester O'Dean Baxter, 70, of Coal Hill died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at his home.
He was a retired labor employee, member of the Clarksville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, son of the late Mitchell Collins and Nora Mae Bailey Baxter, and was preceded in death by three brothers and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his widow, Charlene Rae Sorensen Baxter; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathy and Ordell Ringling of Wendel, Idaho, Katy and Danny Martinez of Rupert, Idaho, and Kristi Baxter of Coal Hill; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Danny Baxter of Twin Falls, Idaho, Michael and Sarah Baxter of Rupert, Idaho, Shane and Della Ralls of Jasper, Rick and Patricia Ralls of West Jordan, Utah, and Robbie and Monica Ralls of Ozone; two sisters, Betty Jo McFadden of Hunt and Virginia Henson of Clarksville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Debbie Baxter of Ozone, Doren (Butch) and Cheryl Baxter of Lamar and Lewis Baxter of Burley, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Clarksville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Daniel T. Farrer officiating.
Burial was in Cassville cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Victor Gerleman, Ronnie Bohannon, Willie Baxter, Mitchell Baxter, Shane Ralls, and Robbie Ralls.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Danny Bolin

Danny Lee Devoe Bolin, 47, of Mt. Judea died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.
He was a native of Kansas City, Mo., truck driver for Clarksville Refrigerated Lines, and member of Mt. Judea Bass Association and Piercetown Youth Center.
Survivors include his widow, Sherry Campbell Bolin; four children, Heath Bolin and Amy Bolin of Rogers, and Daniell and Eveia Bolin of Mt. Judea; parents, Delmar and Norma Jean Middleton Bolin; one sister, Brenda Evans of Dover; two brothers, Allen Bolin and Cameron Bolin of Piercetown; and five grandchildren, Logan and Brittney Jackson, Holly Holcomb, Kylan Christopher Bolin and Alex Emerson.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with David Cross officiating. Burial was in Carver cemetery at Hasty.
Active pallbearers were David Middleton, Calvin Bolin, Clifton Flud, Ricky Bruce, Harold Smith, and J. H. Middleton.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Crawford, Delbert Taylor and Cameron Bolin.

Darren E. Parker

Darren Eugene Parker, 32, of Lamar died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 359.
He was employed as a pipe-fitter and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Estel B. Noyes, Mary Miller, and Raymond and Katie Parker.
Survivors include his widow, Carmen Parker; two sons, Darren Robert Parker and Landon Lee Parker, both of Lamar; parents, Robert and Kathryn Parker of the Flat Rock Community; one sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Leon Gibbons of the Flat Rock Community; one niece, Brittany Ahrens; and two nephews, Kevin Ahrens and Cody Gibbons.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. A. Berg and Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial was in East Point cemetery at London.
Active pallbearers were Raymond Parker, Russell Parker, Jeffrey Noyes, Ronnie Parker, Anthony Davis, and David Noyes.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Freeman, Anthony Freeman, Glen Freeman, and Doy England.

Gladys G. Williams

Gladys Grace Williams, 94, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was born in the Bethlehem Community of Johnson County, daughter of the late Walter Cyrus and Rosalia Eunice (Tiny) Wellborn Swift, widow of E. H. (Ell) Williams, Baptist, 50-year plus member of the Sulphur Springs Extension Homemakers Club, former employee of Clarksville Footwear and served as jailor with her husband at the Johnson County Jail for several years. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Benita and Ray Maddoux of Claremore, Okla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl Dean and Wanda Williams of Clarksville; five grandchildren and spouses, Robin and Carol Maddoux of Chelsea, Okla., Sandra Jarrett of Inola, Okla., Jackie and Britt Day of Inola, Okla., Sharla and Eden Norris of Clarksville, and Kelly and Kim Maddoux of Skiatook, Okla.; 11 great-grandchildren, Autumn Stout and husband, Jim, of Chelsea, Okla., Ryan Maddoux and Casey Maddoux, both of Chelsea, Okla., Kendra Jarrett, Brandon Jarrett, Brittney Day and Bobbi Day, all of Inola, Okla.; Trey Norris of Clarksville, and Kelsey Maddoux, Keaton Maddoux and Karly Maddoux of Skiatook, Okla.; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ethan Stout and Emily Stout, both of Chelsea, Okla.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Cameron officiating.
Burial will be in Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Don Dougan, Fred Dougan, Donald Meek, Dale Meek, C. O. Blackard, and Pat Blackard.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church Sign Fund, 2126 West Main Street, Clarksville, AR 72830, the Alzheimer's Foundation and/or Hospice.

Kathy C. Eichenberger

Kathy Colleen Sullivan Eichenberger, 58, of Russellville died Sept. 21, 2004, at her home.
She was a native of Sikeston, Mo., member of Russellville Missionary Baptist Church, retired employee of Entergy at Arkansas Nuclear One, practicing nurse at Millard-Henry Clinic and was preceded in death by her mother, Vida Louise Varner of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Edna Marie Reeves of Memphis, Tenn., and Brenda Gail Sullivan of Sikeston, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Joshua Van Fincher and Minnie Bell Fincher of Hayti, Mo.; granddaugher, Miranda Rae James of Fort Smith; nephew, John David Eichenberger of Morrilton; maternal uncles, Verlon Lee Fincher of Hayti, Mo., and Charles Paul Fincher of Sikeston, Mo.; and maternal aunts, Edna Gordon of Miner, Mo., and Virgie Mae Fincher of Lacenter, Ky.
Survivors include her husband, David Carl Eichenberger; one son, Michael Scott James (Staci) of Fort Smith; one daughter, Amy Lynn Collins of Russellville; two step-daughters, Jamie Suzanne Eichenberger of Russellville and Frankie Dawn Damon of Ola; three granddaughters, Tara Brooke Collins of Russellville, Rachael Faith James and Kristin Hope James of Fort Smith; two step-grandsons, Donte Eichenberger and Jayden Gilbert of Russellville; one brother, Jim Rupe (Margaret) of North Fort Meyers, Fla.; one sister, Carolyn Greenway (Robbie) of Marquette Heights, Ill.; one uncle, Willard Fincher (Lois) of Sikeston, Mo.; one aunt, Barbara Fincher of Wardell, Mo.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Sue Eichenberger of Morrilton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Tracy Eichenberger of Russellville and Earle and Pat Eichenberger of Morrilton; two nieces, three nephews and many cousins.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Morrilton.
Pallbearers will be Oscar (Bud), John, Mike, Ken Johnson, Nick Fincher, and Les Miller.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church, 210 John Trusty Lane.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
