Steven K. Barfield

Steven Kenneth Barfield, 58, of Lamar died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Petersburg, Fla., son of the late Walter Clayton Barfield, U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, licensed electrician and an employee of Taber Metals.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sharon Kay Drittler Barfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donita and David Perren of Clarksville, Debra and Tim Uhde of Lamar, and Denise and Mike Collins of Hunt; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Valerie Barfield of Rogers; mother, Thelma June Hineline of Oklahoma; one half-sister, Judy Morris of Missouri; one brother, Ronald Barfield Sr. of Oklahoma; one half-brother, Roger Christen of Florida; father-in-law, John F. Drittler of Lamar; 12 grandchildren, Bryan Perren, Rocker, Chaffy and Tamara Uhde, Kari and Cindi Pressley, Trenton and Darian Collins, and Daniela, Amanda, Casey and Steven Barfield; one great-grandchild, Teagan Sheets; step-grandchildren, Melanie and Scott McKay of Dyer, Michael Perren of Clarksville and Tonia and Warren Eliot of Booneville; three step-great-grandchildren, Kerstin McKay, Dalton Williams and Toby Eliot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery at Lutherville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Perren, Rocker Uhde, Chaffy Uhde, Michael Perren, Trenton Collins, and Steven Barfield.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Alta N. Hunnicutt

Alta Naomi Hunnicutt, 89, of Lamar died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired boat factory employee, Methodist, daughter of the late Arthur and Janie Drummonds Burton, widow of Lawrence Hunnicutt, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Margie Chavers, Mary Storms, Helen Ruth Nichols and Jessie Hattabaugh.
Survivors include two brothers, Willard Burton and Joe R. Burton, both of Knoxville; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Glenn Rainey.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers were Matt Nichols, Bob Nichols, Pete Nichols, Danny Hattabaugh, Julius Mayes, Dane Mayes, Bob Waite, Robert Rainey, and William Nichols.

Janice A. Jacobs

anice Ann Ashlock Jacobs, 62, of Hartman died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at her home.
She was a retired superintendent of the Horsehead Water Users Association, member of the Centerpoint Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and daughter of the late Waymon Ashlock.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Jacobs; one daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Philip Taylor of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary Allen and Rhonda Jacobs of Dover; mother, Mabel Ashlock of Clarksville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Kenneth Ashlock of Garland, Texas, and Don and Phyllis Ashlock of Canton, Texas; mother-in-law, Pauline Jacobs of Hunt; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Sandra Jacobs of Clarksville; and four grandchildren, Tegan and Bethany Taylor of Clarksville and Caleb and Ethan Jacobs of Dover.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at the Centerpoint Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Ashlock and Rev. Patrick Trusty officiating.
Burial was in Hogan cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Tim Rountree, Garrett Cole, Steve Jacobs, Blake Tilton, Graham Cole, and Michael Ashlock.
Honorary pallbearers were Conway Jones, Gaylan Williams, Julius Highfill, Cliff Jacobs, Bruce Jacobs, Matthew Jacobs, and the men of the church.

Johnnie Miller

Johnnie Miller, 78, of Coal Hill died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at her home.
A native of Fedders, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Birdie Howell Adams, and widow of Burl O'Strander and Phillip Peter Bono II.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Conway of Bossier City, La., and Doris Vincent of Baytown, Texas; one son, Phillip Peter Bono III of Coal Hill; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Highland cemetery in Ozark with Rev. Pat Wilson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Phillip Bono IV, Cameron Moss, Russell Pregeant, Steven Ray Clark, Joseph Conway and Kim Conway.

OlieLee P. Hamilton

OlieLee Peart Hamilton, born February 4, 1924 in Reesedale, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, October 20, in Clarksville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Burgess Peart of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, mother and stepfather, Alberta Cousins and James Dutchess of Cocoa, Florida. She lived most of her life in Western Pennsylvania, graduating from Arnold High School, Arnold, Pennsylvania. Her career was in credit, founding Credit Collections of Brevard County, Florida, and was named Florida "Collector of the Year" in 1974. She lived along the Indian River, north of Cocoa, Florida for forty years before permanently relocating to Clarksville in 2000. She enjoyed traveling, music, square dancing, and singing and was a member of the Brevard Chorale and church choir for many years. She was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Cocoa, Florida and currently a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Clarksville.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Francis Herbert Hamilton; daughter and son-in-law, Franlee Jo and Robert C. Wise, all of Clarksville; son, David Paul Hamilton of Graysville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Robin and Patrick Milligan of Mt. Home, Idaho, David Neal and Catherine Wise of Melbourne, Australia, Robert and Nicki Wise of Statesville, North Carolina, and Jamie Leanne Hamilton of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Allison Aron and Ida Lee Lewallen of Mt. Home, Idaho, and Ashly Dreuw and Robert Graham Wise of Salisbury, North Carolina.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Herb Swanson officiating. Burial was at Harmony cemetery by Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dusty Talley, Joe Talley, Joe Carter, Virgil Thompson, Michael Parks, Thomas Hunt, and Douglas Hunter.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Expansion Fund, P. O. Box 406, Clarksville, Arkansas 72830.

Raymond B. Dalton

Raymond B. Dalton, 86, of Van Buren died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004.
He was a native of the Spadra Community, retired employee of Whirlpool, an Army World War II veteran and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include his wife, Lida Dalton; two daughters, Wanda Hooley of Rudy and Darline Brewer of Van Buren; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

Tecie H. Ghent

Tecie Hazel Ghent, 89, of Garland, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Senior Care Belt Line Nursing Home.
She was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church in Clarksville and daughter of the late W. T. and Grace Rhine Scott.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dan Glover of Dallas, Texas; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Harold and Clydia Fox of Knoxville, Bobby and Marilyn Fox of Shreveport, La., Billy and Neva Fox of Del City, Okla., and Derrell Fox of Lamar; three sisters, Marybel Bowen, Grace Pitman and Agnes Graham, all of Heavener, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Cherry Street Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Bushong officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ben Williams, Shawn Glover, Tim Fox, Benjy Fox, Hal Jadwin, and David Fox.
Memorials may be made to Cherry Street Baptist Church Building Fund, Clarksville, AR 72830.

C. Harmon Tullos

C. Harmon Tullos, 80, of Hartman died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Enola, he was a son of the late Oscar M. and Artie Stivers Tullos, member of Clarksville Church of Christ and Johnson County Master Gardeners Club, World War II Navy veteran, stationed aboard the USS Halligan, and retired from the Arkansas Highway Transportation Department as an asphalt inspector for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Chrisman Tullos; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Keri Tullos of Searcy and Steve and Enola Tullos of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Richard O. Tullos of Little Rock; and four grandchildren, Dani Tullos of St. Louis, Mo., Jake Tullos and A. J. Tullos, both of Tallahassee, Fla., and Ian Tullos of Searcy.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with John Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.
Pallbearers will be Argus Castleberry, Don Castleberry, Robert Bartlett, John Chrisman, Robert Chrisman, and Jamey Styles.

Carrol D. Allen

Carrol D. (Jack) Allen, 81, of Ozark, brother of Pauline Jacobs of Hunt, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
He was a son of the late William Seldon and Dessie Ogden Allen, retired Boen Aircraft employee, Baptist, and was preceded in death by his wife, Maralyn Allen.
Other survivors are one brother-in-law and one-sister-in-law, Wayne and Bonnie Pyron of Clarksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial with military honors was at the Liberty Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Philip Taylor, Gaylon Williams, Conway Jones, Gary Allen Jacobs, Steve Jacobs, Matthew Jacobs, and Bruce Jacobs.
