Barney "Jim" Petty
(October 4, 1934 - November 4, 2011)
U.S. Veteran - Barney “Jim” Petty, 77, of Harrisburg, Arkansas died Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Harrisburg for over 25 years. Jim served his country in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired after 26 years, 4 months and 9 days. He was active in the ASU Booster Club, the VFW in Harrisburg, and the Disabled American Veterans. Jim was preceded in death by his wife.
Survivors include his son, James Petty and wife Sherry of Harrisburg; daughter, Jackey Randol and husband Mark of Austin, Texas; one brother, five sisters and grandchildren, James Michael Randol, Christina Randol, MaryKatherine Randol.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Mitchell cemetery near Greenway, Arkansas. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5-7 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.

Mark T. Davis
(June 4, 1973 - October 31, 2011)
Mark T. Davis, 38, of Jonesboro died Sunday October 30, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born and had lived in Jonesboro for 24 years, moving here from Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was a crop consultant for Davis Agri Consulting Services and a member of the Shepherd’s Heart Church. He loved fishing, hunting and especially his son, Ethan who was the love of his life.
Survived by his parents, Tom and Linda Davis of the home. Son, Ethan Thomas Davis of Bryant, Arkansas.
Sister, Kellie Marie Hutchinson and husband Aaron of Goodman, Missouri.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday November 2, at Pleasant Grove cemetery, with Rev. James Strait officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will Bjon Skoog, Heath Minnis, Adam Smith, Mickey Marshall Jr., Shane Fairly, Jason Hicks and Jayson McGowan.
Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Wednesday November 2, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Family requests that lasting memorials be made to the Jonesboro Pregnancy Resource Center, 910 S. Main Street ,Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401.

Sidney Lewis Nelson
(January 25, 1944 - November 10, 2011)
Sidney Lewis Nelson, 67, of Jonesboro went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 10, at his residence. He was born in Stonewall, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Refuge General Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney Esco and Lena Creason Nelson, 3 sisters, Imogene Hardin, Nona McGee and Betty Barrett, 2 brothers, James Landon Nelson and Carl Nelson.
Survived by his wife, Marie Nelson of the home.
Son, David Nelson and wife (Laquitta) of Lake City.
Daughters, Linda Sharp of Jonesboro and Shelia Denison and husband Todd of Lake City.
Sisters, Nina Cornwell of Brookland, Patricia Smith of Lake City and Carol Shortancy of Caraway.
6 grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson, Chris Sharp, Sidney Sharp, Gabby Sharp, Coty Brewer and Landon Denison. 2 great grandchildren, Jacob Sharp and Kason Emmon.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 12, at Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City, with Rev. Larry Ward officiating. Burial will be at Willis cemetery near Harrisburg with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Hardin, Michael Hardin, Darrell Hardin, Rickey Hardin, Clay Cornwell and Jason Emmon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Edward Faulkner, Dave Lawrence, Tommy Mann, Blake McClelland, Donnie Pendergrass, Larry Richey, Larry McElroy, Mike Brown, Rocky Gilley, Chip Mann and Sammy Lee Jr.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Friday November 11, 2011 at Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City.

Thomas Hardin Camp
(November 30, 1941 - November 8, 2011)
Thomas H. Camp Thomas Hardin Camp, 69 of Jonesboro, passed from this life and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was a man of great Christian faith and was deeply devoted to his family.
He was a graduate of Jonesboro High School Class of 1961 and attended Bailey Trade School in Memphis, TN in 1963, where he became credentialed in auto mechanics. He owned and operated Tom Camp Auto & Truck Service in Jonesboro for 34 years. He retired in 2008 due to illness.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Jane Rogers Camp, of the home, two daughters, Rosemary V. Camp of Liberty, MO and Victoria L. Camp Farish and husband Kenneth of Jonesboro, he was also a wonderful Papa to his granddaughters Elizabeth Grace, Olivia, and Ava. He is survived by two siblings Dr. Richard V. Camp Jr. of St. Louis, MO and Margaret Ann Crook and husband Charles of High Ridge, MO and 13 nieces and nephews and 32 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard V. Camp Sr. and Verene Elizabeth Bailey Camp, his brother Charles C. Camp, and his sisters Teresa Ellen Rosse and Mary Francis Whitener.
Tom was a man of great character. He had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. His personality was larger than life. He had a heart for Jesus and loved to quote Romans 10:9. He was loved by many and was considered a poor man’s friend. He always lived what he believed with God being his focal point. It is with certainty he is with the Lord. Tom’s favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and exited this life with that promise in his heart. Glory be to God.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday November 11, at Jonesboro Memorial Park, with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
There will be no visitation. Family request that lasting memorials be made to the Salvation Army, 800 Cate Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.

Aubrey Eugene Canterbury Sr
(October 26, 1940 - November 9, 2011)
Aubrey Eugene Canterbury Sr., 71, of Jonesboro died Wednesday November 9, at Jonesboro Health Care Center. He was born in Taft, Missouri and had lived in Jonesboro for 15 years.
He was a self employed construction worker and a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah Witness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Eva Jackson Canterbury, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Survived by his wife; Deloma Canterbury of Corning. Sons, Aubrey Canterbury Jr. and Daniel Canterbury both of Hot Springs.
Daughters, Pamela Oakes of Jonesboro, Darla Pettit of Medora, Illinois, Terrie Canterbury of Hot Springs, Georgia Houston of Jonesboro and Penny Daly of Hot Springs Village.
Sisters, Shirley Gann of Neelyville, Missouri and Peggy Sheperd of Naylor, Missouri. 12 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 12, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rick Hansen officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Emerson Funeral Home.

Katherine Petchara Ricker
(November 6, 2011 - November 6, 2011)
Katherine Petchara Ricker, infant daughter of Danny and Narinda Bamrungrot Ricker of Jonesboro, was stillborn Sunday, November 6, 2011, in NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
In addition to her parents, survivors include a sister, Katrina Ricker of the home; Paternal grandparents, Carl and Phongsri Ricker of Jonesboro; Maternal grandmother, Lumyai Nontapa of Thailand; and Paternal great grandfather, Milburn Ricker of Indiana; Uncles and Aunts Tommy Ricker, Dara and Pete Kittawesson, Saranya and Mark Chapman all of Jonesboro; and cousins Cassandra and Tyler Kittawesson of Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Prajok Nontapa and paternal grandmother Lois Ricker.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon, 3-5, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services and burial will be private.
