Lucille E. Gibson
(October 6, 1915 - November 8, 2011)
Lucille E. Gibson, 96, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at her home.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Gibson moved to Jonesboro in 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ. Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Jonesboro Garden Club and the Jonesboro Senior Citizens Center.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Clede Gibson; by her parents, Robert H. and Sarah Rebecca Roberson Pectol; and by three sons, Larry Gibson, Lindsey Gibson and R.C. Gibson.
Survivors include 2 sons: Ray Gibson and Phillip Gibson, both of Jonesboro; 3 daughters: Dorothy Magness of Batesville, Mary Lou Clark of Foral, and Sally Logan of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Nettleton cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Betty Baswell Emerson
(January 17, 1935 - November 6, 2011)
Betty Baswell Emerson, 76, of Bono, died on Sunday November 6, 2011, at St Vincent Health System in Little Rock, with her family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Emerson; parents, Stacy and Eunice Baswell; a brother Bill Baswell.
Survivors include her son, David Emerson of Jonesboro; four nieces, Regina Baswell of Bono, Billie Pizzano of Little Rock, Ramona Gordon of Fayetteville, and Vicki Massengill of Florida; nephew, Howard Baswell of Hardy.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers are Patrick McNamee, Shelby Blevins, John Kilough, Harold Manus, Charles Petty, John Petty, Shane Pattillo.
Blaine Matthew Steiling
(September 16, 1920 - September 29, 2011)
U.S. Veteran - Blaine Matthew Steiling, 91, of St. Bernard’s Village, Jonesboro, Arkansas (formerly of West Memphis, AR) died at 4:45 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice Hospital, Jonesboro, AR. A graveside, military, service will be at 1:00 p.m., October 8th at Evergreen cemetery, Waynesville, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Tressie B. Steiling; a daughter, Kathy Bafundo of West Memphis, AR; two sons, Stephen Blaine, Jonesboro, AR and Kevin Gene of Franklin, TN.; two sisters, Joyce Shaffer of Atlanta, IL and Marilyn Calame of Alton, IL; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Blaine, Jonesboro, AR and Jennifer White, Little Rock, AR; two great grandchildren, Ashley & Allison Steiling, Jonesboro, AR.
Mr. Steiling was born September 16, 1920 in Waynesville, IL, son of Earl and Opal Steiling. He married
Tressie Booker Steiling on February 3, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Opal Steiling, one brother, Harold Steiling and two sisters, Dorothy Fletcher and Ferne Fox.
He was a past member of the Waynesville Methodist Church and a graduate of Waynesville High School and a lifetime founding member of the Waynesville American Legion Post 1189.
Mr. Steiling served in the Navy during World War II for 3 years. While serving in the Pacific Arena, he earned the designation of deep sea diver while serving on the Wachapraeague PT Tender.
He was the manager of a trucking service business in West Memphis, AR for 30 years.

Rev. Terry Mann
(October 10, 1959 - September 29, 2011)
Rev. Terry Gene Mann, age 51 of 1102 Parson St. Stamps, AR.
Our Lord called Terry home on September 29, 2011, after a long battle with Cancer. Terry graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Psychology from Henderson State University and Graduated with his Master of Divinity Degree from Memphis Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN. Terry served as Minister of the First United Methodist Church of Stamps, AR. He had previously served several communities in southern and eastern Arkansas through his 21 years of pastoral service to the Lord. He was a beloved, Christian, Minister, Mentor, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle and Friend.
Survivors include wife Vicki Mann and Son William, of the home; daughter Gracie Mann of Glendale, OR., father and mother Eugene and Marie Mann of Saffell, AR., brothers Mark Mann (wife) Joyce of Jonesboro, and David Mann (wife) Kathy of Longview, TX., three step-children Tera Morgan of Lynn AR., Joshua Walker and Jacob Huskey of Jonesboro, AR., and many loved ones and friends.
preceded in death by his sister Brenda Mann Jones.
Visitation will be Sunday October 2, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and funeral service officiated by Brother Fred Dover will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 East Nettleton, Jonesboro, AR. 72401. Burial will be private.

"Cherokee" Bob Voutsinas
(March 29, 1951 - September 25, 2011)
Robert “Cherokee Bob” Voutsinas, 60, of Jonesboro, died September 25, 2011 at his home. He had lived in Jonesboro for 3 years moving here from New Mexico. Bob loved motorcycles, woodworking and electronics. He would give help to anyone. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Voutsinas, Gas City, Kansas; 2 sons; mother, Jeanette Reeb, Jonesboro; brother, Spiro Voutsinas; sister, Christina Casson, both of Florida; step-daughter, Theresa Miranda; 6 grandchildren; his girlfriend, Shirley DeBoard.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church with Jerry Wilcox officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lowell Hester
(August 5, 1939 - September 28, 2011)
U.S. Veteran - Lowell Hester, 72, of Jonesboro died Wednesday September 28, 2011 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born and had lived his lifetime in Jonesboro. He was an assembler for General Electric for 31 years, was a member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church for 30 years, and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Jewell Lakey Hester, one brother, Gary Hester.
Survived by his wife, Linda Hester of the home.
2 sons; Brian and wife Tina and Kevin and wife Denise both of Jonesboro.
2 brothers; Bob Hester of Jonesboro and Tom Hester of Bay.
Sister; Mary Travis of Jonesboro. One grandson; McKenna Hester, Two granddaughters; Keeley and Skyiar Hester.
3 step- grandchildren; Robbie, Jessica and Tanner Brittain.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 29, at Trinity cemetery with Rev. Byron Griffey officiating. Burial will be at Trinity cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be Larry, Junior and Mike Newberry, Benny Martin, L.M. Duncan and Berl Wayne Price.
There will be no visitation.
